This video is a tribute to Ip Ching (Ip Man’s son) We’d like to express our gratitude for Ip Ching’s service to Wing Chun. On behalf of all those he helped, thank you Ip Ching.
I only just learned of his passing today. What a great loss to his family and friends, disciples and the whole Wing Chun community. I have been watching and listening to his lectures from the very beginning, and although I have never met him in person, his dedication to the art has always been admirable and he has a fantastic insight into the system. I can only wish that his legacy lives on. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Thank you for sharing.
I trained with him on many occasions although am his brother Ip Chun disciple. He was quite strict as I recall but we got on quite well. This was 90s from that time on I’d always visit his class when in HK. It’s a great loss to all his family and close friends not to mention the tens of thousands Wing Chun followers. As stated on this video after retiring he dedicated himself to teaching Wing Chun, we who where fortunate to have gained a little experience should practice keep it alive. These great masters give us so much we can’t take everything on board, but if we can take some of that teaching where it makes a difference I’m sure all our late masters will look down smiling. RIP until we meet again.
First, Ip man, then bruce lee, then Ip ching, next in line is...Ip man's other son. Bruce lee was ip's man student, not children if you mistaken my sentence
@@naakrblx3152 I didn't say who the first "left this world" . It's disrespectful to talk about who the first and last, Let's respect all the living masters and not, for their contribution. If you’re already talking about On Bruce Lee was he not a Wing Chun master, He is a master in mixed wrestling who he himself created ( Jeet Kune Do)🙏
I met Master Ip Ching, in 1992, on his first visit to London UK, he was introduced to me by my master Ip Chun, then later i became the 1st westerner to train with him, in great G,Grandmaster Ip Man's house, where he continued to live ,after his father's passing, we became great friends over 3 decades, he was always praising my wing chun skills, and was a constant mentor to me, i will miss him very much, God bless you Master, and may you enjoy your continuation, whatever you choose next!? R.I.P
Anton Van Thomas Ving Tsun Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏🙏🙏. Sorry for your personal loss. It is a great loss for all of us Wing Chun practitioners too.
Thank you for honoring the family with this edit, and thank you for including so much chi sao footage of Sigung with my Sifu! He is very heartbroken by the loss of his teacher.
dave hutchinson Happy to be able to honor his legacy. The passing of Ip Ching is a huge loss for us all in Wing Chun. Our condolences from our family to yours.
Oh man R.I.p Ip Ching he was a nice guy, he was actually my friend on facebook and I didnt have many....I felt close to his energy in a way, he had a really nice vibe. Ho Leung Branch
i read sometimes about ip man and about his sons too which i give my condulences to ip man's first son ip chun about his brother, ip ching was a great mentor to his students, an excellent helper to his brother may ip ching rest in peace
Nice! That was really sad losing Ip Ching & Kobe Bryant around the same time. *Kobe Bryant also did a little Jeet Kune Do on the side. Off topic, why does it say “Ip Chong” in the description?
May the legacy of wing chun pass on to the next generation and carry the master's will who devoted their life in polishing their skill's in teaching martial arts! Rest in peace sifu!
@@kerrin6633 i just wana be sure. Ip Chun is alive? Few Years ago i watch youtube video where he have a Martial Arts school. He said that, that school of Martial Arts keep him alive. How many Years he have now, acording to mine question.
@@SygulaMarcin Hi, sorry for the late reply. I was googling and only came across an article from Feb 2019 which stated Ip Chun is still alive and teaching Wing Chun. amp.inkstonenews.com/sports/bruce-lee-trainer-ip-mans-son-ip-chun-keeps-tradition-wing-chun-alive/article/3004290 I was only able to find the Wiki page which was last updated on Jan 25th, 2020 to most recently indicate that he is still alive. (Sorry to send u such a generic webpage): en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ip_Chun Even though it appears that Ip Chun isn't as famous as his father, he makes up for it at 95 years old last year with his vitality. In fact it is Ip Ching that was officially trained by his father, but even still Ip Chun has been teaching for a good number of years so the Ip Man legacy still lives strongly on!
Hi Adam, nice compilation as a memory. Only one thing: please update the introduction which said because of cultural revolution. This began in 1966 and had in my opinion nothing to do with his and his brother’s move to Hongkong. Thanks and keep it up
咏春拳Rene Thanks for your feedback. There seems to be differing opinions on this. Feel free to provide any evidence you may have and Ill be happy to review it.
Adam Williss Hi Adam, just Google the terms cultural revolution and then later The Great Leap. The Great Leap took place 1958-1962 and was a different campaign which had a big impact on society as well. So maybe this could be one explanation. Anyway, it’s not so important. Have a good day
Anton Van Thomas Ving Tsun I know, so it happened after the „Great Leap“. Again it’s more important from a historical view but not from a Wing Chun view. They had their reasons for leaving china
THE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION IN ( MARTIAL ARTS ) .!!!!! . IS , NOT LOST , IF , HE LEFT BOOKS 📚 OF HIS LIFE EXPERIENCE .!!!!!!! . OR VIDEOS .!!!!!!! . TO LEARN FROM .!!!!!! . 🙏🏾📚📖📚🙏🏾👍.....STUDY THEM .!!!!!! .TO BE A BETTER FIGHTER .!!!!!!! . 😎🙏🏾👍....R.I.P. MASTER .!!!!!! .
@@MultiAzizan people in this thread doesn't know sarcasm. What I'm trying to say is I'm not impressed I've seen lots of martial artists doing better than this and I think that is because this guy is already old and no longer in his prime.
