On today's episode we will dive into some exciting new updates, features, and error. I had so much fun producing this video. I hope you'll enjoy it and learn much.
Topics discussed:
1.) Multicamera Recording
2.) Bug Fixes
3.) New Scheduling Feature
4.) Error
Fix for the Failure to Backup error:
1.) Update your system - Sync Module, App, and Cameras
2.) Power cycle the System - Power down each device for about a minute. Start with the router, Sync Module, and last the camera.
3.) Format the USB Drive
4.)... If needed... Factory reset the Sync Module.... :-(
Hopefully steps 1 - 3 will work before you arrive at step 4.

Thanks for sharing. Love listening to your voice. You are very clear and easy to follow. Please do a Blink troubleshooting video. I am not able to get live view on my homepage. Customer support is a joke. RU-vid is my only hope.

Good information thanks. I just got a three camera system gen3 on Amazon Prime days. Do I need an USB drive to use the system? I most likely will do the subscription

Great question! You don't need a UBS drive to use the system at first. You'll only need it to backup camera footage.

I have some blink mini camera's at my house but would like to put some in my fathers house and share these camera's only with my sister, not my house ones. Is this possible??

Yes. Add the cameras to a separate sync module at your father's house.Then share access with that system with them.

How can I keep my flood light armed while my other cameras are off automatically. Do I have to buy another Sync Mod.

Yes. You can do that. Another Sync should work fine.

I purchased a Blink system 6/16/2024 and I cannot see cameras simultaneously. I contacted Blink support, and they say it cannot be done. Ron

I have door bell blink system with module and 2 months agao i added the 3 mini camera and a flood ligh camera. My problem is I can not view the recording except the door bell camera using the usb storage on my cellphone when i have a notification So my question is do i need to pay the subscription in order for me to view the save video in all my camera except the door bell or I need another module. I read that with blink 4 you can set motion for person or other movement. I have blink 4 and I don’t see anywhere that you can do that. Am I misunderstanding something or was that untrue

Yes. Blink 4 has a "person detection" feature. You should be able to turn it on through the app.

Mine are trash 2 doorbell 6 indoor 2 indoor outdoor! If someone rings my bell it’s at least 20-30 seconds before I can even see who it is. If I’m not home and just want to check on my pets it takes 4ever for me to get in. I’m still getting the camera busy error and I’m being told my data isn’t being backed up😔

Can the basic blink doorbell cam be used without a sync module?

Yes it should work without the sync module. But the sync module should make it easier and make the batteries last longer.

Can two cameras recording the scene from different angles now show up simultaneously on the screen on the Echo or zfireTV? How about under clips on my phone in the Blink app?

That's a great question! You can still only watch one clip at a time on the app. I believe it's the same for all devices at this point. Hopefully that will change soon.

My blink sync 2 module has never worked right. I tried to delete it and start over and I get a message that Blink has to delete it. Please tell me what to do since I am unable to get them.

That is great. I assume the Sync 2 Module was upgraded as well i hope. I cant get my sync module to store on my usb even on backup it says it failed to backup clips. Oh ok here we go it just came on the video here, great. The techs at Blink say the module will ask u to format the usb if needed but it never has asked me that.

I would say yes. I've had mine for about 2 years too. If you can, please do a test and let me know.

Appears all cameras were in one place, therefore how this works in different cameras in different locations?

The cameras can be placed in different locations without problem, as long as they have good battery life and good connection to the sync module.

Thats nice info, is good to know about this changes, but I buy a Blink 4 outdoor and when I register it (cameras) with my Samsung 23 Ultra its said Device not supported. Is a rare situation because my sink module 2 connect with no problems and the cameras doesnt. I call Blink company and they said that they are traying to resolve that problem because was a Update error. It was a month ago and i still waiting to have the service. If you have something to inform about that i will appreciated!!!

Make sure the Blink app is connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network 802.11b/g/n A high-speed internet connection (DSL, Cable, Fiber) with a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbit/sec.

My Blink won’t show the Clips all the time it shows the clips , the search lights at the top , runs , than stops at the top left , might show the clip , than after it show 1 it stops when you go , try again!

If I decide to get a usb for the sync module,how do I reformat it if I only have an iPad, and iPhone but no laptop

That's another great question! You will need a computer to format the drive.
