Honestly in terms of roster construction, it's not a bad situation. 7-10 with an improving defense and a stud Wide receiver in DJ Moore and solid tight end in Cole Kmet.

Next year CW will start the season 0-4 and Fluse will be fired, Waldron will be promoted to HC, Bears will finish the season 2-15, Waldron will be fired. New HC and OC for 2025, CW will go 3-14 and we'll all be back here in two years calling CW a scrub and looking for that new shiny QB

That's not what was meant. It was after Brady's success that he became what the league should want in a QB. Jared Goff is a great comp for that because he was the last top pick that was truly in that Peyton Manning/Tom Brady style of play.

I’m no expert, but after watching his highlights, I see a lot of wide open receivers catching his passes that oftentimes have to work back to the ball. I like a QB that can hit his guys in stride. He’ll be a solid QB, but won’t live up to the hype.

Justin fields didnt really have a proper chance to develop with the constant coaching changes and not forming the offense around him nor providing him with a good line and weapons around him to credit a rookie with more ability given that circumstance its unfair they should lock in with the coaching and build around fields imo

If CW is drafted by the Bears, he will struggle as well. The Bears organization is poorly run and that doesn't help a young QB. Plus, I think CW is a bit overrated coming from USC, he struggled against mediocre defenses, just look at the tape. He needs a solid management team around him that has the competency to build a franchise.

The Bears drafting Williams would be a serious mistake.. Williams is a smaller version of Fields,, Williams can't run like Fields.. He doesn't have the strength of arm as Fields and he isn't as physically or mentally tough as Fields.. The Bears would do well to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. with the #1 pick and keep it pushing..

Baker Mayfield was better than him last year. He earned whatever deal he's about to get far more then Fields did. I'm just saying at worst he'll get another shot with another team he just has to perform and do his part.

Williams arm strength is significantly better than Fields. He’s recorded to have uncorked a football 66 yards down the field during his Heisman campaign. Current list of QB’s to do so: Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert.

Honestly to use Patrick Mahomes as a more direct comp here, the Bears are the one team he truly called out in recent years becuase he's said that while he did want to be a Kansas City Chief (who wouldnt with all the talent they had in 2017) Mahomes and his dad have said they were pretty sure he was going to be a Chicago Bear. Because Chicago interviewed him almost last minute, it went well, and he was made aware they were trading up to get a QB. Then they picked Trubisky and KC traded to get him. Chicago is still the only team where he looked at the camera and openly called them out on national television for not drafting him. Now he took KC from good playoff team with talent and, equally, a history of failure that's almost deeper than the Bears, and turned them into the objective next great NFL dynasty thats hunting a 3-peat with a good chance to do it solely because Mahomes is their QB. I dont think the Bears see a player like Williams and makes that mistake again

You never know the Pros is different he’s great off script but you have to be able to play in structure and his off the field stuff you have to wait and see how he goes.

Caleb Williams is not an elite quarterback nor a generational talent he will end up being the 3rd or 4th best qb in this draft when all said and done this is why there is so much pressure on these young kids because of analysts hyping them up beyond belief and then don't live up to those expectations because the player gets a big head and huge ego

Drafted #1 by their team and won a superbowl that I know of...... so let's not put too much on the hype. justin can do the same but bigger and faster and don't wear dresses. I would take the multiple first rounders on rookie contracts than take the one qb on a rookie contract that they are hoping to be the one

Caleb Williams...? I am not sure. The Bears have so many other needs. Give up the first place draft pick for as much as you can get, strengthen your weaknesses and go with Fields.

The reason the Bears have such a horrible history with the goal of winning the Superbowl is the owners (the McCaskey's) had the wrong Presidents and General managers over the decades. Though financially they did a good job. People were buying into the hype of college drafts, an occasional playoff run, buying paraphernalia and game tickets. Great business. But they didn't know how to create a "winning" culture by keeping "great players" with the organization after they retire. Now we have Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles. I honestly believe that the McCaskey's have made impressive decisions with the hiring of them. It's been a loooong time since I've had anything good to say about the owners and management. I was born in northern IL and was 8 years old when Chicago won the Superbowl in '85. I believe we're in a new era of Chicago Bear football. As much as I like Fields there's no QB that I would like to see him replaced by from free agency or the draft.... except Caleb Williams. It's at this point about the new rookie contract, his recent expression about being excited to be a Chicago Bear and his obvious talent. I believe that Justin could throw 4000 yards and 30+ TDs along with significant running stats with a bolstered o-line and WR depth chart. I believe Caleb would too....as a rookie.

All these “experts” yet 29 teams looking for there franchise QB. Still think it’s about drafting interior first and having support, coaching and trust in that player, I feel some teams cut ties too early or start rookies too soon

I understand Acho position on the HC might be gone, but the GM on the hot seat??? have we seen what Poles has done with the team that he STARTED with??? all that dead cap and 0 talent?? Poles has constructed an okay team from trash. Sure that claypool trade was abysmal, but that didn't stop him, he went ahead and did the same thing and got Sweat. That's paid off. So yeah HC on the hot seat isn't good for Caleb, but POles gonna stay there man. Look at what his two drafts have looked like, phenomenal.

I thing to be concerned with Williams is those games when he got pressured that’s a concerned and needs to get rid of the ball faster cause he does compare to Fields in that area and yes the NFL pressure is 10 times better than college so you have to due your homework on all that. Also Stroud raised the bar and also for Williams.
