Id say the main issues with BP in its current state are ammo availability (Equally good rounds are available from traders, e.g.: M62, Hybrid) and the weapon platforms being rather weak with their overall low firerate and comparatively extremely high recoil… A shame, really
@@KKKKKKK-sr1fz exactly. It was an overreaction by BSG after several wipes where BP was the meta to nerf the entire caliber into the ground so no one uses any of the weapons.

@@Chevalier_knight that's whole deal man, you can craft it. But it takes like 6 hours to complete, and you only get 90. Where as you can get 762x39 m62 more easily. All you do is wait 2 hours for a reset
I think it's often overstated how "bad" the recoil of mutants and RDs is, you can still full-auto people at a decent range, but it is definitely a lot higher than that of comparable guns in other calibers, like the sa58, mdr or spear, so if the ammo is roughly as effective as that of those other options (which it is, as you said in the video), there's no "real" reason to use them besides visuals (and to be fair, modded RDs do look really good)
Having fired a friend's Rifle Dynamics SBR, it looks and feels even cooler in person. He had it silenced with an adjustable gas piston and it was so smooth as well. Fantastic gun, which it should be for the over $3k he's put into it
well 7.62 mdr and spear cant use drums so there is more reason to use something like an RD, i feel like i get in a lot of fights in tarkov where volume is beating precision. Guess sa can use drums too but it doesnt feel as good to me as an RD but its preference ig.

every time i run PP im let down MASSIVELY I would legit rather run PS out of my gun than struggle to make PP work and yes i totally agree that makes zero sense
Even before the dumbed down armor system with forcefield armor, it wasn't that BP was bad, but the 7.62x39 caliber guns were worse than other options available.
I feel that it's not as much of a people think it's bad, its just more of you can buy m62 tracer and sig hybrid but have to craft bp, secondly i feel like most guns in the 7.62x39mm caliber like the mutant especially have been nerfed too harshly with their recoil since it was meta a few wipes back
The great thing about tarkov that sets it apart from other games like it is the fact you can have literary nothing and still use what you find to take down even bosses or end game players it's rage and joy to it's extremes really
I wish there were more videos like this for more bullet types. Like 545 and then what the ups and downs are maybe show meta builds etc. I love watching the videos where you rescue a weapon from another PMC and rebuild it for that reason. (ps Im an eft noob who has a small idea what they are doing when modding weapons).
Question: can you explain the mergodology that you made to create the class 5 shot 2 kills 45% of the time, and shot 3 87 percent of the time? Is that the average across all material types or across the various carriers? Different material types would skew it, and while it might not impsct the numbers a whole lot for bp, it would for other ammo you may make a video about
I used tarkov gunsmith, gac plates, cult termite plates and the ars arms cpc soft armor to calc it, as those plates are the most common for their class. Yeah no aramid plates, uhmwpe is the best you can do

7.62 BP isn’t terrible, but in the realm of pen, I think it’s not quite as good as people would like it to be, like SIG hybrid, the major difference between the two being velocity which is generally why hybrid is so popular in my opinion, it’s great for head taps at range because it shoot’s relatively flat and easier to land shots on moving targets because you don’t have to lead as much, and the higher fire rate of the spear slightly makes up for the lack of pen when you’re hitting center mass shots, 7.62 weapons generally have a slower rate of fire and as such generally don’t perform as well in CQB because while you may have a competitive round, sheer damage output of other rounds can outpace yours, in the end it can come down to your personal preference and general skill in the fight if your hood at head tapping, please consider that this is my opinion and not entirely true to reality, people can still absolutely run circles around other players 7.62 platforms with enough practice, but my personal experience is my own, and not applicable to every player
Pretty crazy to me that you can easily buy 7.62x51 m62/m80 and Sig Hybrid but can’t buy BP when the guns for 7.62x39 are way worse. BSG made every gun feel at least okay with the new recoil then made the availability pigeon-hole everyone into using 2-3 guns at this stage in wipe. Hopefully they add 5.45 BS, M855a1, and 7.62x39 BP back to traders next wipe so we can get some variety. Crafting just ain’t it for ammo. I wouldn’t be mad at a slight RD and Mutant buff either 😅
I mean RPD exists and that fires kind of fast at 700 RPM and it has decent recoil and it doesn't jam but thing is heavy as hell and ergo is non existent. I kind of wish they made 7.62x39 AKs have lower recoil in general baffles me how 7.62x51 mm rifles can have half the recoil of x39mm guns but with much higher damage or rate of fire. Or idk introduce AK-203(4) or something that fires fast like the AEK-973. PS. i don't think people complaining about hit reg are too crazy after all i Dumped half a mag onto a guy with paca armour on the back from 5 meters away with BP and they turned around to kill me it could be similar to bug where PP round didn't do damage after pen that existed few months ago.
I hate 762 BP because it gives me bad luck. There have been alot of times, even when the round was meta, where I decided to use it and then just get tarkoved.
I havent tried BP but i have tried PP and the amount of headshots/entire mags people have shrugged off only to see 16+ hit count guess im bad..... ive had more success running PS every time i think yeah that shot hit it did PP on the other hand ABSOLUTELY feels like it has hit detection problems i put my scope on a dudes head who was standing completely still and watched him eat 3 clean headshots then eat 2-5 more as he ran away i was straight up blown away how bad that round felt this wipe
Sig Hybrid and M62 are also 5 shots against class 6, but have a massive rate of fire advantage and way better recoil, while being purchasable from traders. You've completely missed the reason why people hate 7.62x39
Pretty sure he is just trying to make the argument the /bullet/ does not deserve the hate, not to mention the fact that so many people think everything that is not straight meta is completely unusable, while that is just straight up not true. If I rip vector your legs off you're dead whether you have class 6 and a spear or not.

7.62x39 is just not competitive this wipe. I mean, I'm pretty sure black MDR has lower recoil than 7.62x39 ak builds of the same price point, which is ridiculous.
I thought people drop 7.62x39mm guns because new horizontal recoil made all of these AK style rifles unplayable against lowrecoil MDR, M4A1 and AK-74 - you just miss half of your bullets shooting 50m target.

its just not worth crafting for all ur pp stock, not being able to play with 762 till it finishes craftinc, all tier 5 bullets should be buyable without stocks behind late game questlines but nikita is so dumb at balancing the game it wont hpn
Never bothered with BP, even after 5 wipes. Keep using PS, T45M1 & PP (sure I'll buy from trader when it's up but alot if my ammo comes from looting kills.

It was readily available on boss/guard/rogue kills. And im very much a player who uses whats available, not craft stuff because its there. There is a choice you know, not everyone needs to ultrachad themselves for the best kit. I will wager that you probably went & bought the uber version, as you have that demeanour. Dunno.... I shot a scav with no armor 7 times with 7.62 bp and screenshotted it so I would remember to never use it again... can it kill? yes... so can gt.... but the rattly guns, and lack of registry make it a no go

BP has 58 flesh damage, even with overpen reduction it wouldnt take 7 shots unless something was wrong with the damage calculations but sure fam, keep trying to ego flex on a reply to a youtube video, Im sure you are very popular.
Thanks for the info, but videos like this really encourage me not to come back, your weird hopping and bouncing into combat is completely antithetical to the milsim slow tactical intention that the game is built to accommodate and it makes me realize that every tactical game I like just devolves into bug abusing twitch streamer bullshit
Ive crafted around 14k rounds of bp, down to maybe 3k, gave up on it. For me on the lowest ping servers i still get hit reg with bp more than any other round. This wipe has one of the worst hit regs with bp and m62. I mean there was a wipe where mdr 20rnd mags were ghosting and same with mutant. But this shit is just as bad if not worse. Im at 8800hrs on my main eod and 2700 on a standard for hardcore. There is 100% bp hit reg problems. Ive had to ZERO out paca armours with bp for them to end. Heck even the drd armor is zeroing out before ending to bp. paca is lvl 2 and drd is lvl3. I have honestly quit cause its just hot ass right now.
