Hi! We are Phil and Alex! After leaving California in an RV, traveling full time, and helping our littlest with an open heart surgery, we've settled down in Tennessee. We found our homestead land and are learning each day how to live a more sustainable life. We are a family grown through the miracle of Adoption & Infertility Treatments. Our precious daughters are Kinsley Grace (7 years old), Callie Jo (6 years old), and Cassidy Drew (2). How blessed are the girls for having you as parents. They are all looking so beautiful with their on beauty and it is delightful to see how happy they are and the peaceful environment that they are being brought up. I love change! I know what you mean about having the vision and then having a hard time adjusting it, but am embracing that change even from my initial ideas is good, especially if it makes something even better! And the thought of that deck also being a stage is SUCH a great change! I wonder if that little house was a hunting blind at one time?

Oh, I just found Seed myself for my kids. Loved the description and ingredients on the website and love that it comes in powder and I can mix in juice, water or food and they don't feel any taste.

The girl's playhouse reminds me of the little house for Grandpa on LHOTP!!! I believe at one point that was also an outhouse!!! That outhouse/little house for grandpa was also on a hill behind their homestead!! :)

Dear Alex, I would imagine that if you trace back up to the original contract of the buying and selling your property, then you might find a description of the girl's small house and even an indication of when it was built.

We just purchased almost 30 acres and we had noticed that there was an old pump with a concrete trough that looked super old and next to it there is a huge pile of lumbar that is veryyyy old. So we spoke to the people that were haying it before we bought it and they said they have lived here for 70 years and they never saw it but there was an old homestead on our land and the pile of lumbar is from the old house and the trough was for their animals and the pump is actually an old windmill pump!!!!! GOOSEBUMPS!!! for 70 years its been nothing more than hay field and now we get our turn to revive the homestead and i hope i can use some of that lumar someway in my garden to keep a piece of that history alive.

🎗🌻 Alex, you could see it in your face that you needed a little time away. You are looking so much happier. Also, Phil, looks like he has lost some weight, and also some weight on his shoulders. He looks like he don't have weight of the world on his shoulders..But I'm so glad you guys are back. Alex, you are so right that sometimes you need to step away, and unplug. I used what you said; I also took time away from all social media sites, I had to unplug, it was getting to be way to much for me. I love you guys, and love your little farm. It makes me think back when I was your kids age, playing on my grandparents farm. I can remember and have pictures of when I was your girls age bottle feeding two cows. I can said now looking back, being on the farm were some of the best days..

Depends on what your looking for. I love the small town of Pulaski, the bigger town/Mountain city of Chattanooga, any towns outside Nashville... but we left the South and moved out West because the humidity and weather back in TN valley was making me sick. I need the dry climate.

I just love your girls! They are so adorable and who would think you could sleep 40,000 times in a cubby house? So incredibly sweet. I had three girls then a boy and seeing yours reminds me of my own. My first had dark hair, and the second and third were blond, my son has very dark hair so even looked similar. We lived on a farm in Australia. I love your vlogs and like your plans for the coming year. Cost cutting ideas would be great to include. I buy blueberries and eggs an£ now (in England where I live now) they are crazy prices and often not even available. Keep on vlogging! Xxxxxx

I do frozen blueberries with yogurt and then I put it in an ice cream cone and it is an awesome diabetic snack I use low carb yogurt and it is so awesome!

I used to be a teacher before having a baby, and let me tell you, I was one of those people who have like 100 mugs. Every time I got more, my husband would be like, you have to get rid of SOME of them! 😂 but they’re all special because they are from my students 😂 I’m sure those girls are going to love that fort!

Not a teacher but I also “collect” mugs! There’s five of us so I feel like ten is reasonable that’s two per person 😂 but you know the dollar store and Christmas happened and then they started making mugs in the shape of animals! I’ve lost count of the amount of mugs we have haha oops :p
