A guy I was involved with had a gf of only two years. They split up 3 years ago. She’s been remarried and they still keep in frequent contact and he has pics of her on his phone even though he initiated the breakup. I think that’s really unusual.

My ex hubby and I remained close. It took a bit of time to get there, but we did. We had kids to co parent and that was what mattered. His later wife and my husband we all got along well. It just worked for us. Have ever ever tried to work it out, sure for a hot minute, but we both knew it was not happening at the end of the day.
