Yes am on the menopause and just lately I don’t want to do anything am shattered and just want to sleep all the time yes am disabled but I normally got the energy to get up but I have lost all my mojo and just can’t be bothered to do anything not a thing
Hi Michelle I have posted a video blog on fatigue and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/how-to-beat-menopause-fatigue/ Best Wishes Eileen
I think the mood swings and the crazy mind set during menopause is the worst symptom. It nearly divorced me . Menopause is one of the worst things I've ever been through in my life . IM 55 AND STILL GOING THROUGH IT . AT LEAST IM NOT HAVEING THOSE HEAVY PERIODS ,BUT STILL HAVE THE PMS SYMPTOMS AROUND THE FIRST OF THE MONTH.
However you try the problem is the way life puts so much pressure on how we should be able to cope with everything this world is full of pressure to expect too much from women
I hate if I talk to a family member. All they say is yeah it sounds pretty bad you should go to the doctor 🙄 my reply for what and time I go I pay an enormous bill and don't get any resolution for what I went in for anyway. I've gotten more information on this RU-vid channel then any doctor I've seen
Have you tried the herb Maca; this can often work well for anxiety. I usually recommend a liquid one from a company called Health Aid. Nausea can often be eased with Milk Thistle Complex or a ginger supplement. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/milk-thistle/
I cant take menopause support cos i take the pill. I take extra magnesium now but still getting the nausea most days of the week. No wonder some women end it all ( i know of at least 3 who have gone in fact. ) i want to know when the peri menopause will end ,, some say its the worse bit . Next feb i will be 3 years into it. I have been on hrt a year now , but have been getting worse since july . It seems everyone know you feel like this but expects us all to suck it up for the next 10 years !!!! ????? The doctors just want you all to succumb to anti depressants.
If you are not feeling the benefits of the HRT it is important to let your doctor know; not all HRTs suit everyone and you may need the dose adjusting or maybe swap to a better one for you.
Hi Marina. This can be part and parcel of the menopause, as the hormones rise and fall, affecting mood. Ask the doctor to test your hormone levels to clarify this for you. Why not check out my pages on the website for more information
Hi Diana you could try the Valerian and Hops tincture as this usually works quickly at establishing a good sleeping pattern. However, if you do feel that depression is creeping in then it is very important to let your doctor know - over the counter remedies are unlikely to be of benefit www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/valerian-hops-dormeasan/
I've felt horrendous for three years I finally went to gp he's put me on Prozac..It's the best thing I have ever done feel so much better and no hormones as I didn't want hrt

I can so relate to this video sometimes I loose it in traffic and it's kinda scary cse now I don't know how to handle situations as well as I use to when I get angry or irratated yeah and no sleep and hot flashes don't help at all and my Dr only says it's not a medical issue so don't make it medical so she basically is saying shut up about it .It might not be medical but it's real for me but I feel no one believes me and they want me to shut already just venting
I had a hysterectomy last year and I was menopausal, I started taking Estradiol and it helped with the night sweats and hot flashes... well I was just diagnosed with Breast cancer and I can't take it anymore. I'm back to being sweaty, sleeplessness and struggling hard not to slap my co-workers. What can I do now?
Hi If you are getting treatment for your breast cancer then we are unable to recommend any herbs or supplements, sorry but acupuncture can often be of benefit. You could check with your doctor to see if there are any practitioners attached to your local NHS and if so request a referral. If not, you can find a local practitioner through www.acupuncture.org.uk
I have zero energy - I just want to curl up in bed and hide. I ache all over and feel overwhelmed and irritated by the smallest thing. I pretty much have every menopause symptoms apart from the flushes (I take Citalopram and this seems to mask them). I am on HRT but it doesn’t help with all my symptoms. My house is a tip and my motivation has gone out of the window - I am so embarrassed as I used to be so house proud. I manage to work but this takes all my energy and when I finish I just want to sit and think of nothing. Sorry to moan but I am so frustrated and feel like I am existing, not truly living.
Hi Caz Sorry to hear that you are struggling with this; it is such a common scenario, so you are definitely not alone! Firstly, I would go back to your doctor and let them know the HRT isn't helping. They may be able to adjust the dose or offer you a more effective alternative, please don't just put up with this! Also, other health issues can creep in at this time such as anaemia, vitamin D or B12 deficiency and underactive thyroid function and all of these can cause symptoms that are identical to the ones you are experiencing. Your doctor can also test for these just to rule them out. In the meantime, you may find the herb Maca helpful (approx 500mg daily) and make sure that you're drinking at least 1.5 litres of plain water daily as dehydration caused by falling oestrogen can also trigger these symptoms! Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Christine Although this may happen and could be caused by poor circulation, or a trapped nerve, this is one symptom where it is wise to get it checked by your doctor, just to rule out any other health issues not associated with the menopause. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Marline Unfortunately, this is a really difficult question to answer as it will be different for every woman, many symptoms tend to come in phases which may only last a few months to a few years.
SUPER important and well presented helpul video ! Thanks ! I can recommend Menoforce sage by A. Vogel plus high magnesium intake (oil (on skin) and tablets) ... I I feel significantly better now ... sleep better, less sweaty. And lots of water.
Hi Rhinda I tend ti recommend magnesium citrate as a general magnesium but for best absorption you could try magnesium Tuarate or Glycinate Best Wishes Eileen
I would like to know if shatavari and evening primrose oil is good in menopause. I had heart pain all of a sudden is this palpations. What can I increase estrogen
Hi Jay Shatavari can be of benefit for the menopause as it is known to help with oestrogen levels so worth trying for a few months if this is what you need. Palpitations often feel like your heart is racing or even missing a beat but it is important to get this checked out by your doctor just to make sure there is no other reason. If it is palpitations then you may find a magnesium supplement, 200mg twice a day with food, can be of benefit. Dehydration can cause this too so remember to drink lots of plain water every day.
I have such chronic fatigue I am now living in my bed 24/7 ? Chronic pain all my life but I used to get up and do a lot grrrr, I am in peri menapause but nhs blood tests never show stuff
Hi Once restrictions ease again, you could seek the advice of a Nutritional Therapist; they tend to be well versed in treating CF. They can find out why this has happened and formulate a personalised treatment plan for you with support. You can find a local practitioner here www.BANT.org.uk Best Wishes Eileen
sometimes a woman in menapause feels and acts like a so called man. They dont like it, unless there a kind, understanding one that tries to help and does some research. Many men dont, there moody, nasty and bad tempered, my old fellla has always been infertile to boot, as well as the rest, i had 2 boys before i met him, but would have loved another child.Older hes getting hs temper and moods are worse to boot.Think men have these symptoms , hes 11 years older than me but they refuse to acknowlege they have a problem. there the worst end up as nasty bullies in there older years x
