You wanted to know if it's possible to get pregnant fast after having a baby. And it depends on a few different factors, one of which is if you're breastfeeding or not. Studies have shown that mothers who are exclusively breastfeeding is 98% effective at preventing pregnancy as long as your baby is less than 6 months old, you're exclusively breastfeeding and not supplementing with formula, and they haven't started solid foods yet, and your periods haven't returned. So if that's the case, then you're probably not going to get pregnant quickly, because the hormones that support lactation actually suppress ovulation, and if you're not ovulating, then you can't get pregnant. However, if you're not using any forms of contraception to prevent ovulation form happening, your body is going to slowly start returning to a fertile state anyway, whether you're breastfeeding or not. For some women, it happens sooner than others. Some women don't ever have a period and have a few little signs of pregnancy, so they just take a pregnancy test just because, and then "surprise!", it comes out to be positive, and they got pregnant sooner than they had planned on. If you're not wanting to get pregnant quickly, then talk with your doctor, and they'll recommend forms of birth control that are right for you.
Keep in mind that ideal birth spacing is 2 1/2 to 3 years from the delivery of one baby to the delivery of the next. For example, if you had a C-section, that's even more reason for you to wait at least that amount of time before having a baby again. Because when a doctor performs a C-section, they make an incision on the uterus to deliver the baby, and stitch it up, and it heals, but it needs time to heal. And if it doesn't have enough time to heal, then that increases your chances of uterine rupture. So studies have shown that this chance is higher if babies are born 18 months apart or less. So there are other reasons that a doctor might encourage a mother to wait at least 2 1/2 to 3 years before having more kids, so talk with your doctor first if you're wanting to have your kids close together, and they'll give you tailored advice that will help make sure that you and your baby are as healthy as possible during your next pregnancy.
