A great video. The EGO battery powered products are truly a Great bang for the buck with quality. My experience is 25+years as a owner for Lawn Equipment ( I sold the dealership in 2018 / the price was right ). This Marine was always honest with my customers; so, when they saw and asked me about the Stihl Battery Products at the store; I had to be upfront on my opinion because it is about " People before Profits; " thus I would recommend the " EGO Battery Products. " Example: the Stihl BGA 85 with AP300 battery and charger is @ $549.85 vs an EGO with battery and charger @ $ 300.00....OH YEA!

I don't believe that Stihl is making their electric stuff in the U.S. and yet they are commanding a high price. Maybe EGO is making their stuff too! I have several Stihl gas machines that I'm slowly replacing with EGO electric stuff.

I got my ego blower a few years ago and it's one of my best tools. I got a extra battery and charge as needed.

I have 2 EGO products that I bought in the last few months (mower and trimmer) and I swear by them. I've looked at other EGO products and for what you get the price point is very good. I think they have the Midas touch and their products really are designed well!

I was eyeing one of these after a new car purchase and wanted something to dry the vehicles and also use for the driveway. I lucked up and got a new EGO 650 with the stubby nozzle and blowerband for $210 due to a listing mistake. Talk about luck!

I bought mine last year and have been 100% satisfied with it. I sold my gas-powered. I would highly recommend it!!!

I love EGO products. I have the edger, leaf blower, mower, 1stage snow blower and the inverter. Looking to getting the power plus generator and charger for solar connection.

I can give you a really quick eval... This thing is a BEAST! But, it's by FAR the heaviest (battery) blower you'll find. I use it for 2 houses but pay the price in muscle fatigue for days after but it still cuts my work in half easily. Guess I'll have to work out a little more cuz' I'm not letting this one go! 👍🏼

Good review video. We would like to have seen it perform on your car drying process though. I have the 580CFM EGO blower, and I love it too. Down side: Tennis Elbow! I blew LOTS of leaves last October, (7 months ago!) Now I try to limit my nozzle wiggle, which is what caused the injury. The battery is amazing, I was able to blow all my flower beds out, and all the leaves in one charge, which RELLY suprised me. I also have the EGO self winding string trimmer, which is BAD TO THE BONE. Then, just because i love my other two EGO tools so much, I got the new 1" cut capacity hedge trimmer, which is also, BAD TO THE BONE. I'm hoping EGO will make a riding mower soon, because my current rider is 15 years old, and very noisy.

I am working on a car drying video next and should be out this week. As for the tennis elbow, I know what you mean. Another commenter is using the EGO Strap, which I may pick up for yard use. For car dry, you have to move the unit around the car so you are working your elbow into better positions, which to me helps stop the pain. When using it for yard work your elbow is in mostly one position and the pain builds. Like you, I am going to add to my EGO arsenal soon.

Great review. I ended up going with greenworks 60V cause their performance is almost just as good, and there tools are a little cheaper along with the batteries. I ended getting there 2nd gen mower with the turbo button for $250, and there 610 CFM Blower for $89! I live up north so this stuff always goes on clearance after summer is over. 👍🏼

Just picked this up at Lowe’s for $300, I’m glad I didn’t get the the smaller one for $170 because honestly I thought it would feel more powerful. But I’m excited to see how it does in the fall-

I needed another ego battery and the 5ah is an ok size. I paid $270 for this new blower and to just buy the battery was $249. So for $20 more I got a charger and larger 650 blower.

Yeah their battery prices are insane. I bought a 7.5ah with the lawn mower. I like the 7.5ah the best. I wanted another 7.5ah but they only had that with the lawn mower at the time so I just bought another one and sold the lawn mower at a good price, so I ended up buying the 7ah for like $150.

Home Depot near me always has the ego mowers reduced. Currently they have about 7 of them with 7.5 battery, fast charger for $399. I was thinking of just buying one just to get the battery. And I would also have a spare mower. Currently have 4 of their tools and always buy the tool with battery due to the high price of the batteries.

I live 10 miles from German border. to dry my car off I get on the autobahn and drive legally at 140mph for about 15 minutes.

Roughly 90 minutes of runtime on continuous power. On standard mode it flows between 225-500 cfm. The air speed (MPH) will be determined by the outlet size you use. Using the tapered nozzle roughly 60-135mph. This is all without turbo activated and using rough estimates.

looking to get one of these to dry my vehicles as well. would you say it completely drys a car in one battery charge? a vid would be great!!

I would say yes, but that all depends on the car. A small to midsize vehicle yes you should be able to dry that no problem. A large truck will probably need a second charge or some quick movements to speed up the drying. Mainly due to the use of the turbo button, if not using turbo then one charge will be sufficient for both.

Leaf blowers are not for drying off cars, they're for blowing leaves in the fall. To dry a car, you should use a Metrovac Master Blaster. This is designed to dry cars and even includes a heat switch that can be selected to dry water even faster!

I have the 550 cfm whistler Ryobi blower and I just used it today to dry off my truck. One 4ah battery lasted the entire time drying off my truck and that was with using the turbo button for about a quarter of the time. I highly recommend it because it is $179 and includes the blower, charger, and 4ah battery. Really good deal for the price. Yes the Ego is a better blower but not worth the $300 especially when the Ryobi does everything that will for almost half the price.

I get it but I love the cordless power this unit produces. I've tried MetroVac's (even entertained getting a BigBoi and still may) and wasn't impressed. Decided to try the blower and was surprised by the speed of drying due to it being powerful and cordless. Someone also mentioned the fact that the air isn't filtered but I have not notice any additional paint defects as a result of drying and i've checked after each wash on black and blue cars. With this being cordless I feel I can move around the car quicker during drying. Now if someone eventually makes a powerful, cordless, filtered and heated car dryer, I'll be the first on to test.

@@BrandoMotion That EGO blower is waaay too powerful to be using to dry a car. If you want to use a cordless electric blower, get one that is not so powerful.

@@BrandoMotion There's no filter on the EGO blower so any dirt can be picked up and blown on the water remaining on the vehicle. Also there is no heater on the EGO like there is on the MetroVac and the added heat helps greatly to decrease drying time.

I like this blower. I bought one a few days ago and it’s pretty good for what it is. But the batteries are severely overpriced. I mean $450 for the 10 amp hour battery. Give me a damn break. 🤦‍♂️

Had mine for a month... now DEAD. No answer from EGO, waited on hold twice for an hour with no answer. Plus they have no email for support. Very disappointed for a $300 blower.

You aint buying EGO products from Home Depot any longer. They no longer sell EGO products. You will need to shop at Lowes or Ace Hardware for EGO stuff.
