Bellingham would be daft not to go to Real Madrid. He can join a team that has Valverde, Tchouameni and Camavinga, whilst learning from Modric and Kroos (if they stay another year). Plus, he'll be guaranteed trophies and at least 1 Champions League. If he joins Liverpool now, at the end of their cycle, he risks becoming like Gerrard where he's by far the best player and can't contend with other giants in the league like Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and even Newcastle who all have massive financial backing. Finally, the concept of him going to Liverpool now then joining Madrid in the future is silly. You never know how long the door at Madrid stays open. Vini is winning trophies Mbappé could've won and injuries can blow a career off the rails. He could go to Madrid and win it all, then go to the Prem afterwards like Casemiro. You don't say "No" to Madrid. Look at what happened to Pogba. A failure at Madrid can always move to the Prem. A failure in the Prem can never move to Madrid.

@@TLoziCM Kovacic, van der Vaart... but I never said he can fail at Madrid and do well in the Prem. I said he can fail at Madrid and still *move* to the Prem. Kovacic, Ivan Campo, Odegaard, Geremi, Michael Owen and Ceballos are examples. Other players did well at Madrid and moved to the Prem, such as Ozil, Makélélé, Di María, Robinho, Casemiro, Varane... the point is that moving from Real Madrid to the Prem is *WAY* easier than moving from the Prem to Madrid, especially you fail.

Liverpool played 3 finals without scoring a single goal. It can be argued that the signs were there. I’m neither surprised nor shocked in the slightest by where they find themselves this season. If they’re to be judged by trophies & especially league titles, I think the glory days of Liverpool are well & truly over. They won all of ONE epl title & immediately put up banners of being “back on their perch”. That’s a telltale sign of a fading power isn’t it, an also ran. Simon Jordan is normally pretty much right about most footballing topics, but let's get it straight he jumped the gun on ETH, and couldn't wait to chuck out the metaphor of a small man, in a large suit. I don't understand why he finds it so hard, to admit he actually has got it wrong. Instead of trying to explain a poorly timed metaphor, he watched the first two matches, Brighton and Brentford and smelt blood. Like most journalists, he's just got it wrong. Well that’s not true - Ronaldo won his first when he was still playing for Utd. Dennis Law, George Best, Bobby Charlton, Michael Owen and Kevin Keegan all won it whilst playing in England.
