IDW comics are not canon. They just take place AFTER forces but that doesn't mean it'll affect the main storyline.

​@@OutlawKING111 It's not canon, but the same rules as the games apply to their world, and the characters are still the same from the games. This was one of their biggest goals when they began developing the IDW comics compared to Archie. A scenario like the comics and how the characters would react to it should still be _possible_ in the game world even though it never actually happened in the game canon. So the metal virus can still be used as evidence

Well, as a clone yes. The DNA is still there, albeit degraded. If he was a full android or robotic, then you'd be absolutely right. Besides, Eggman is better at robotics rather than cloning anyways.

@@imanobody7911 actually, the reason is that the amount of people who get the neutral ending of shadow the hedgehog and the amount who do not get the final story overlaps majorly. They just play the part that is the most similar to a normal sonicgame,get one or two other endings and then just quit because they already got their fix from the game after that amount of playtime

What I am saying is, it wouldn't matter if the message wasn't hidden. Only a small crowd of people even cares enough to get to the final story.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter if he's a clone or the original. The Shadow we knew in SA2 was the fragment of a life lost 50 years in the past, one that was finally laid to rest after fulfilling his promise. The Shadow we know now is unshackled from that past. Whether he's a machine or not, his actions, his experiences, the influence he has on the lives of others, are genuine. And they're his. Not a 50 year old ghost's.

The game may be all over the place but I'd b interested and darned if the Sonic 3 movie would have some stuff taken from both Shadow and Adventure 2.

Oh and another thing, the line in the actual ending of the game "Goodbye forever, Shadow the Hedgehog." doesn't mean he's the clone saying goodbye to the real one. This is the real Shadow 100% and that line means he's saying goodbye to his old self and saying hello to himself as the "new" Shadow. The one who put the past behind him and not thinking about Maria Robotnik, Gerald Robotnik or anything else that happened anymore. All the things that will haunt him for the rest of his life are gone already for him. He accepted Maria's death and forgave the G.U.N. military and in Sonic 06, we see Shadow becoming their agent and this is the best development he had. 06 may b bad but the Shadow story in that game is by far the best. So, ur joke with that Incredibles clip with the principal saying "COINCIDENCE?!! MAYBE!!!" I would disagree. Shadow here isn't a clone. This is the real one. At the end of the day, he still becomes a hero and is willing to protect humanity from evil. As he said with this line from 06, "If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have." U Wolfie can dislike Shadow and 06 all u want, but those games had good build-up and development for the ultimate lifeform, and they don't deserve to b ignored.
