I own a 2021 ZL1 1LE because of this channel. To make it even sweeter, I had a huge smile when he drove that black Hennessy ZL1. I immediately ordered one. Keep them coming!

Just the sound alone makes my heart pitter patter. I also absolutely love the look of the ZL1 compared to the other Camaro models.

You forget that the ZL1/1LE did a time of 7:16 at the Nurburgring....with a Manual + Back seats!

Joe, I thought the Hellcat on throttle action from last week was the best I’ve seen but I stand corrected. That was so damn awesome I had to hold on to my sofa as you were tearing up the road. The Camaro's interior is one of the reasons why I got mine also, I don't have a ZL1 or even a SS I have the V6 manual transmission. I was going to get the SS but I was blown away with the V6 it sounds amazing and unlike the last generation 3.6L the all new 3.6L (in 2016) is so much different it never leaves you wanting more power- it's perfect for me. I like the gas milage too. But wow your ZL1 is mindblowingly awesome!!! It has everything you could ever want plus some(a lot actually lol). Love it!!

Very good video. I have a 2020 SS1LE. I agree manual is the only way to go. 455hp is awesome can’t even imagine what 650hp is like. Your video makes me want to experience it for myself sometime.

It’s April 2024 and I’m watching this after I just purchased a used 2018 ZL1 with 16,000 miles on it six speed manual of course! Gray metallic and I am loving that car! It’s 100% stock!

I own Porsche BMW Jaguar and all the rest. Bought my Camaro in June. Got the rare 6-speed manual. Wild Cherry 🍒 = Candy Apple Red. I have the 1LE wheels. Took it to the Chevy dealer for an oil change. The entire garage stopped and stared at the car. The car is simply beautiful. Get the manual. You won’t regret it.

Man, you sure enjoyed that 😸. I enjoyed you enjoying it and being so excited about it 😊. I’ve got an LS, and even though it’s bottom of the line, it handles like a dream, like I could never have imagined a car hugging curves so great, when I start to fishtail that positive traction (?) (I’m thinking it’s called something else though) pulls it right back inline. I’ve won every challenge on the streets of Atlanta I’ve provoked a Camaro owner that pulled up next to me to race, and they were all 1SS or 2SS and I beat the brakes off of them in a quarter mile. Of course they were all dang close once we hit the straightaway, like a split hair 😬. I wonder about that sometimes. When I get a new car I push it to its limits because I feel like I need to know how it will handle in any given situation,so maybe it’s because I pretty much know the limits of my car, and maybe because I have a manual tranny. Okay, I’m an adrenaline junkie and I’m getting a rush just talking about it. My very first car at age 17 was a 77 Trans Am, V8, 4 barrel carburetor, and when I felt the horses and the sheer power, I didn’t care much about where the breaks were 😹😹😹. Man, can I ask you a question? Eventually I’ll have myself in a Zl1, I’ll be 58 soon, but I just want to race. Not with the slicks with the funny looking wheels on the back, not around and around and around, but lots of sharp curves and straightaways. Do you know what kind of racing I could get into? And where I could find professional training? And am I too old to start racing? Anyway, thx for the video, it was fun watching.

Love the colour choice, Joe! Quicker doesn't necessarily mean better, and pretty much all of the high end pony cars are too quick for my liking, but I'd go for a ride, sure enough! It’s great to see the emotions this car brings out in people. I bought one in 2018 and I compare it to a theme park ride. It gets you excited just knowing you’re about to drive it. It’s the same feeling I get when waiting in line for a roller coaster. I get anxious and excited just standing by it, then once your in it’s like a roller coaster. This car will make you scream, laugh and it really gets the adrenaline pumping. The suspension makes it feel like it’s on rails. Such an awesome car. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I think this was probably the first ZL1 video I saw while waiting for delivery of my ZL1. Almost identical but I decided that my time on the track wasn't going to warrant the 1LE, but it is still a great road worthy vehicle. Considering that the current MSRP of a ZL1 is now closer to $70K, your timing was almost as good as mine (Closer to $63K for my 2022). I also recommend the manual, but probably not for the same reasons. The automatic is fine from a stop, but the Camaro is so dramatic from a dig that in order to get the best launch, you're drawing way too much attention to yourself. The manual, on the other hand you have to thread the needle to get a good launch, so much that it keeps you from feeling that you have to take off like a bat out of hell at each stoplight. With the manual on the highway, it' makes for the ultimate GT as being in the right gear and not having to wait for a downshift is much more predictable. I hope you're still enjoying this great vehicle, as EVs are slowly displacing these types of vehicles.

Joe, you and Lori have earned it! Forget the people who might be saying otherwise. What you and your spouse do is HARD WORK. Dedicated and difficult skills. You having to learn about each vehicle and its history and then talk about it to us. And Lori. You are the best camera operator I have ever seen. I have 20 plus years working around Hollywood camera folks when I would work movie details as a CHP officer off duty. You are stellar in your stability skills. And for the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 1LE, way more cool than the Mustang. Any Mustang. Mustang owners always felt a lacking feeling when a guy pulled up in a Camaro. I too bought Firebird Trans Ams in the past, and I used to envy the guy in the Z28. But I am going for the 2022 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Wide Body Shaker in Go Mango just because Im 68 and a real MOPAR fan.

That 12V placement is insane, drives me insane. Why don't car makers start putting 2 12v lighter adaptors up rucked away on the dash to the left or right for things like dashcams and radar detectors... still they don't. I've had to run all sorts of wires along cars. However, love this car and didn't realise this is what you owned Joe, looks fantastic!!! That's a nice looking engine bay as well!

The Camaro had decreasing sales recently. That's why the Camaro is driving off into the sunset in 2023.

Ufff!! It's hard to choose btw a ZL1 1LE or the Shelby GT500??

Its not a “muscle car” it’s considered a sports car. Muscle cars dont have giant spoilers on the back for downforce lol. The camaro and mustang are made to go around curvy tracks as fast as they can. Olny actual muscle car on the market is the dodge challenger which is built for the straight line.
