They are extremely expensive to maintain. I almost traded mine in on a ZL1 1LE but ultimately decided against it. I’m not a fan of all “bells and whistles” of modern cars. I like simple.
My neighbor used to have one of these at one point and it was literally the most insane vehicle I've ever seen. He would have crank it on at 5 a.m. to go to work. When I say that thing was a beast holy moly I've never heard a car like that before, I've been around some high-horsepower vehicles but this thing was beast. No lie i used to wake up earlier for work just I see him leave, we lived on a long road so I could hear for miles. Honestly the most best sounding car I ever heard, and I've been to tons and tons of car shows but this thing just sounded like music. I ended up finding out it was a real Z whenever I drove by one day and I just got to see it in person. I mean it is one of the most beautiful modern vehicles you can ever see, the stance in the look of the thing is insane.
@@USCtrojanFootball1 dude heck yes!!! Me and my roommate used to wake up early to watch "the beast" in the mornings before work 🤣 dude it sounded like some video game stuff. Too bad I moved away from the area :(
the Z/28 became my favorite Camaro. it was one of the only times that GM went all out to make a car faster. thinner glass, less sound insulation, lighter parts, huge semi slick tires, even air conditioning was an option to keep the weight down. and of course the glorious LS7
I drove a 2015 Z28 a few years ago same spec. I was blown away at how much grip this thing had, and how simple the interior was in terms of features. No power seats no Navi and like 3 speaker sound system. all in the name of weight savings. The owner of the car sold it a few years ago and I told him that was a big mistake. These cars are classics
505 HP wasn’t quite enough for the heavier Z/28 so I modified mine to 680 HP and roughly 575 lb-ft. Have driven a ZL1 1LE. Badass car. I wouldn’t sell my modded Z/28 for one, but would love to have one! 😊
@TTAMC C. How many did they sell? I'm just curious. How does it compare to the other generations and how does it compare to the rivals like Mustang GT500 or Hellcat? (not sure if these are in the same segment)
About 3 years ago, I read an article where a dealership in New York had a low mileage (15k) 2015 Z28 for sale for 40k. Someone made a great investment on that purchase.
I drove a new White one in 2015 ($76,000) that was pulled out of the showroom. It rattled every window in the building. It was really fun to drive. Now I have a 2019 Black Camaro SS 6 speed that is just as fast. Quite a gas - all of the good ones!
I gotta say I’m so glad I bought my 14 Z28! I absolutely love mine! Mine is stock with headers! But I also have full carbon fiber doors, fenders and hood to help lighten it up some! You definitely should get one man!
Honestly my favorite Camaro and one of my favorite muscle cars of all time. I mean GM just went crazy on this. Also probably one of the best looking modern muscle cars of all time.
Two fer for Twinkie Thursday! Sweet double o bean bag buttermilk biscuits! This is the way I would go hands down!! Awesome review Joe and Steven thank you for those excellent camera angles. 😊😊😊
The I’m shopping for my first camaro ss but the camaro Z/28 is my dream camaro that has ever been made till this day. I need me one in the future for sure
Can’t even lie. I’m a Mustang man but this is one bad boy here. Faster around vir, according to car and driver, than the 350r and Mach 1. Not a bad looker either. It has aged very well.
I have a 20 350 R amd a 22 500 Cftp, up next to add will be a Z-28. Beautiful car. Kick myself for not pulling the trigger when they were low 40’s a few years nack.
I have a 16 Shelby GT350 and absolutely love it! With that being said I’ve always wanted a Z/28 and somehow I stumbled across a 14 with only 6k miles that I’m planning to buy in the coming days
Mr Joe Raiti if that's your real name, but if not it doesn't matter, so I'm gonna say this, I have watched a lot of different people do these videos and I have found that I think you are the best one for giving details, keep up the good work
There was no "radio delete", they all had AM/FM/CD player standard, along with the one speaker needed for the federally mandated door/seat belt chime, there was only one option, and it was the remaining three radio speakers and A/C package.
The 5th gens looked good and thr 1st face lift. After that, sales kept going down cause they kept making it uglier and uglier every update. The latest gen was horrible.
Yep 6th gen stans don't want to admit it but the 6th gen killed the Camaro. What was GM thinking?? Goes to show, even a superior platform and performance can't fix ugly. It totally lost its muscle car looks and is a sports car now. Vette already existed GM!
I almost traded in my 2013 camaro 1le for a heavily discounted new 2015 Z28 … that ls7 motor is legendary and GM performance division stopped making the ls7 crate motor last year. The Z28 will continue to go up in value
I loved my 2013 camaro 1le and it had more options such as navigation than the Z28 and the deal was my car plus $29,000 I was ready to do the deal at $23,000 plus my car at the time .
I test drove it and it was unbelievable! You have to drive it to appreciate it … funny story when dealership first received car they wanted $25k over sticker and it sat there for over a year … then they had to discount it way below sticker to sell the car … I believe sticker was 75k and selling price was 59k at the time
I bought my Z/28 back in 2017. The dealer wanted $53000 for it. It only had 600 miles on it. I ended up talking them down to $46000. Love the car!! I’m so glad I bought it when I did.
Yes it’s worth buying. 1) LS7 has unlimited ways to mod 2) limited production. Less than Z06 and GT350. 3) Gen 5 Z/28 had the look to kill. 4) it drives like a race car. 5) it’s about time it some recognition I can go on but those are my top list
LS7 heads flow so well a larger cam, intake and throttle body & dyno tune gets you to 640 hp without the need to change heads. Did it on my Z28 and was well worth the $$$
I ordered my 2013 ZL1 6MT for 60k otd and still have it with 28k miles. I had a chance at a Black 2014 Z28 but passed because it was 20k more than my ZL1. They're both completely siik cars.
I love/HATE Camaros, Especially the Z28. I graduated high school in 1971 and dated the same girl since 7th grade. Walking by her house one day, and a brand new ORANGE Z28 was parked in front; sitting there on my GIRL'S porch was Charles Holloway, All City wide receiver....both of them grinning like Cheshire cats....I made a U-Turn, went home, got her ass on the PHONE...."he gave me a ride from the library, blah, blah".... Everything was worked out, we went to prom, I went to the Army, we got married and had twins. That Camaro was my DREAM....I was driving a '55 Chevy and a low rider at the time....that dang Z28 was NEXT level....but I kept my girl! Ah, the memories.
Thank you for this review. I like this older body code better. The new ones look like smiling cats. And yes, I wish I could take one of these. I didn't know about the 7l v8. Greetings to you and Lori. Until the next video !!!!!
