Another tip would be to get yourself a local SIM card in the first EU country you visit. They are usually inexpensive, about 20 Euro for a monthly plan with unlimited calls usually and quite decent data. Just remember to avoid buying it at the airport cause it's usually way overpriced. Navigate your way to the city centre, walk into one of those big telco stores and get yourself a prepaid one. The good thing about an EU mobile plan is that it's valid across all EU countries, you can continue using it without paying extra after crossing countries. Kinda like free roaming in a way and it's activated by default. For example you can make phone calls to France numbers and surf the internet while in France, for free using the SIM you have bought in Germany. An important thing to note is this only works in European Union (EU) countries. It will not work in European countries that are not part of the Union like UK, Switzerland, Bosnia, Serbia, Ukraine etc.

In the future take a screenshot and registration info. That would resolve spotty Wi-Fi

A tip I have seen from other videos are to always screen shot your ticket in case of the moments of no signal

Nice sharing! I guess it's lucky you never really went to countries where seat reservations are mandatory for their intercity high-speed trains. The infamous ones are Spain, Italy and France. 😂 A standard seat reservation would cost about an additional 10 Euro. For fancy cross-country trains like the Eurostar (London-Paris, London-Amsterdam etc), you will need to pay 30 Euro or more for a seat reservation.

For the time where it said no seat reservation was required, but you reserved a seat anyway, how did you do it? Did you go a few days before to the train station to book or did you show up the same day and booked a seat at the ticket counter?

Interested to know from others how often the need/ don’t need seat reservations issue is .

I made my seat reservations online using German DD app or Austrian OBB app or other national rail services like Eurostar , SNCF connect , also Eurail website with no any problems. Also did you have a problem to enter to the railway station using your QR code ticket? Do you think it’s not going to work? Thanks!
