One does not simply buy any random mouse in 2021.
Do you go with Razer, Logitech, or Zowie? Do you go wired or wireless? Does your mouse need to have a bunch of strange holes in it?
And how lightweight are they making these things now? It seems like every single mouse nowadays weighs next to nothing.
The answer to all of these questions might be simpler than you think: a few years ago, Logitech set out to create the perfect mouse. A product that, no matter what esport you play, would sit atop all other gaming mice. And, for the most part, they succeeded.
The G PRO has become maybe the single most ubiquitous gaming peripheral in the world.
But it’s not perfect. It’s staggering price-point and alleged propensity for double-clicking make it not only the most popular mouse out there -- but also the most enigmatic.
And that begs the ultimate question: Is it worth it?

Thanks for the mentions! Just a note on wireless ... if you use low sensitivity and do big swipes to move the mice around, then yeah wireless is huge. If you use a mid to fast sensitivity, like under 35cm/360, then a lot of the cables are so good now that they basically feel wireless, so don't be afraid to look at wired options still! Should help you save some money until wireless gets cheaper.

I play Minecraft and the double clicking is awful. Like if you're speed bridging, if it double clicks it misses you next click input and the block doesn't place. The Double click doesn't benefit you in fighting because the second click isn't registered and then it doesn't read the second Click you make. Same issue as the Speed Bridging thing.

I have a G Pro mechanical keyboard. The paint on one of the buttons wore out after 2 weeks of use. It still works fine, but the worn down paint on the key cap just disappointed me. With this, i have no incentive on buying a G Pro mouse.

I just love everything wireless cause it's easier on the eyes and makes my setup feel less crowded. The only cables I have plugged into my PC are my monitors, webcam, LAN cable, and Headphones. My mouse and keyboard are both wireless and they just look and feel more comfortable. I get an average of 20ms latency on both of them (being Class A products, and they rarely lag beyond 40-90ms) but overall wireless are just a godsend.

I’ve had the gpro since it first came out and I can say with it just being wireless that helped more than I could’ve ever thought but honestly the only times ive ever had a double click happen is when I press the button too hard. But so far the only issue ive had from it is it being so small ive had to develop a weird ass grip because my hand is way bigger than the mouse.

Out of all the gaming mouse I've used over 10+ years, I would definitely say that the G Pro is the most amazing mouse I've ever used. I was a little adamant about it being wireless, but its definitely feels on par even with wired. The best feature in my opinion is that you can turn off all the fancy lighting to make it last for about 60-65 hours until you have to recharge it again. It's pricy, but very worth it because the latency, consistency, and precision you get with it is just unreal.

I greatly appreciate the G Pro Wireless shape as even I can use it with my objectively large hands (21/11). However it needs grip tape on the contact spots to be comfortably large enough. But if/when they release the rumored G303 Shroud Edition, that'll take first place for me due to my fondness for claw. Hopefully it's soon... *kicks a pebble*.

Well like, for the most part, i have double clicks. But it is no way, the mouse has anything to do with it other than low switch activaton force. The doubleclick at least for me is when i click really badly, and i have seen videos of people which were seriously clicking the mouse from 2 cm above the mouse, so they hit it too strongly and hit it on the way back. Other than that i get the double click like once 2 weeks.

I have many mice, including the GPW and the Superlight, I even have the new final mouse and I have to say the gpro line is my favorite beside the new final mouse, but the final mouse is just to hard to get your hands on and way to expensive($190) but I reccomend the gpw to anyone who can afford it. It's truly an amazing mouse if you can afford it. If you can't there are some good budget options out there and some really stellar wired mice

I had the G Pro wired for a couple years and loved it. I also have a wireless G918 TKL keyboard so it was a no brainer for me to go for the G Pro wireless. Took some getting used to as its a bit heavier and a bit more of a dome shape in my hand. Didn't take long to get used to it. I've had no click issues yet "touch wood". I love the freedom of a wireless mouse. Not that the wires on the original were too much of a hindrance. But it is noticeable for me at least since using my G Pro Wireless. I forked out the cash and got a Powerplay mat for it, so I don't even need to worry about charging it. Totally happy with my setup.

I have a Redragon Impact MMO mouse with 12 side buttons and I absolutely love it, Apex, titanfall 2 and siege are my most played games apart from XCOM 2 and similar strategy games, and since in Apex and Titanfall movement is so key I can bind various movement functions to my many mouse buttons.

TBH I think the best mouse is the Razer Viper series, both the Mini and the Ultimate. I've tried a plethora of mouse including the G PRO, I much prefer Viper more. Again, it's all preference and it depends on your hand size and how it feels FOR YOU. What's amazing for someone, isn't always gonna be the best for everyone. You gotta just do trial and error and find what fits you the most.

It works like that with everything, I've got my first wireless headphones two years ago, now I just can't use non-wireless headset, recently bought Honor Choice. I really want to buy wireless mouse in the future since they have only less problems than wired mouse due to lack of wire, and that wire not only adds friction, but it got me killed couple times when I moved my mouse too much too fast and it just flown under my mouse etc

G502 hero squad here! I'm on my second one right now and used them for 8 years or so. Never had any problems, only recently has it developed an issue with double-clicking, but that was fixed with a firmware update yesterday. Perfect mouse imo. Great side/thumb buttons, great software, all around great.

Feel and fit is really important too. I used a Razer Viper Mini for a month and figured it was too small. Looked around for a mouse based on my hand size, got a Model O and it's perfect.

I got the razer viper ultimate, picked it up off ebay for like 60 bucks (used) and it came with a charging doc too. It's pretty light at around 74g and is pretty good size for my hand. I would say it's worth for the price.

I have the g pro x wireless headset and it is the same way. Super long battery life for a very short charge. Ive had both for about 8 months now and I think ive charged them all of like 3 times a piece now.

@@sololakey1906 I know what you mean, I liked my g703 better it fit better in my hand. But the g pro wireless is like too balanced so if you have a quirky grip it won't feel really comfy. I adjusted my grip to use it and now my hands never get tired like before and I've been playing for like 20 year. Mice have come a long way, I could say that. It is all just preference but g pro wireless is definitely the best mouse I've ever used (more than 2 years now).

GPW Superlight is definitely at the top. However, considering the price point, things like scroll wheel quality and mouse feet aren't something like you'd expect from a $150 never-on-sale mouse. Shape, sensor (it doesn't matter on most top-tier mice but still), buttons etc. feel very good though.

And I have to add, out of the 3 GPW SL I've tried, none of them had a perfectly working scroll wheel. One was really close, but still had registering issues. Maybe it was just me getting unlucky but it seems the quality control wasn't top notch despite the price.

7:09 as an FGC guy, paying $150 for the "best" gear sounds about right. On the point of comfort, some fgc players go fully custom to max out comfort. Pushing the pricetag of their controller to the $350-450 USD range

Love mine and dont fear the double click issues, Those were revised away after the shroud editions hit the market. Shroud didnt want the click failures associated with his name and made them use better switches. Beardedbob and other channels have done tear downs to show this. Along with some other nifty AF mods.

My cousin who plays Valorant and Apex let me have his G502 when I got my first gaming laptop. What I love about it is the "thumb guard" that keeps your thumb from scraping the mouse surface. Sounds silly and arbitrary, I know. But I find if feel like I have to exert effort into keeping my thumb from brushing against the pad. The thumb guard lets me relax it. Now I'm planning on getting the wireless version with the power mat.

G PRO Wireless was too big for my hand and I could not use it. After 2 weeks I sold it and got a smaller Razer Viper Mini. It is small enough for me to grip but I still had to do some custom modding by removing some parts and using sandpaper to make the shape better.

I bought Logitech g103 prodigy back in late 2018, and still to these days it performs just as fine as it was in the beginning. i use this mouse to play action games and FPS for over 8 hours almost everyday. Granted it's like the bottom line or low end side of logitech mouse which is more prone to double clicking problem but luckily, it never happened.

Ive had a g pro wireless for a long time now and its been the best mouse ive ever had. No issues whatsoever, battery life insane and whenever it needs charging only a small time is required. Whenever its at its end im definitely going to be buying a new g pro.

Had a g-pro, experienced a bunch of double-clicking. Used the warranty with BestBuy to get a SteelSeries mouse, returned that, and got the G-Pro again because the shape was so different from everything else, and then it started double-clicking, so I got the viper ultimate. Never had any problems with the viper, very similar to the model O, and I think it's a strong competitor to Logitech.

My issue with Logi G is the comfort and small sizes. I need a bigger size, like my Decus Speedlink. If logi had that kinda shape and size, i'd buy it no matter the size

@@ScoobyShotU No i mean size, mouses comes in different sizes, shapes etc. some fit bigger hands, some smaller hands, mine are partially bigger and Logi has smaller sizes and that bothers me. When using smaller mouses for your hand size it becomes uncomfortable which was my point. I wish that Logi had that mouse, but designed for bigger hands too

i have a glorious model o wireless with ceramic feet over a hard pad, i have to say, til someone releases a ceramic feet for the superlight, the model o will be my main mouse, even though the glide on the g pro is good it can't compete by a long shot (at least for me that plays low sense)

@@Ottoni174 yeah I had 2 O-s and now I'm trying the D-. Just as good. Slightly better feel for hand but I use a class grip anyway. If I get another one I'm definitely getting the o wireless because it's the same weight as the D- and it works great for me

I'm using a steel series rival 710 right now (used a 700 for a couple of years before that) and I have absolutely no complaints. Perfect size and shape for my grip, it's nice and weighty which is important for me since I like substantial mice, construction is excellent, I can replace most components separately if something does go wrong and even though it's totally a gimmick and I don't use it the little OLED screen is kinda cute. Steel series engine is also super easy to work in which is nice e

i had the g pro wireless, used it for about a year tolerating it’s double click issue, since it had a 2 year warranty, i got a 1 to 1 exchange and got a new one, didn’t have an issue since :)

Same here my g502 hero is also double clicking but I know how to fix it. I just spray it with my WD40 contact cleaner on the hole side of my mice and double clicking is gone

click issues that i've noticed in mice before is usually people clicking way too hard and wiggling their fingers a bit over the surface or something like that. i've tried out mice that my friends used to call out as defect for reasons as "it stops working mid spray in csgo" or "it double clicks". I tested their mice and never had the same problem then we realised that they usually press the mouse buttons insanely hard during intense situations which's causing some kind of problem with the switches. Sometimes it's just that you accidentally double click yourself as well.

Had lots of gaming mouses, razer, Logitech etc. Once i went g pro wireless 1,5 year ago, there is no coming back. Best mouse i ever had. After 1,5 year still works perfectly and battery holds out, looks like new. I can recommend this mouse to anyone. I bad no double clicking, but for sure if this happens, Heard here in Poland you can warranty it to get new one

I used to use the Razer Deathadder V3, and while it's still my go-to for aesthetics and comfort (reminds me of a very old Microsoft mouse I used to use when I was a kid in the early 2000's, so nostalgia is part of my appreciation of its design), the Logitech G Pro wireless is really stealing my heart. I got it at Best Buy for $110, a pretty steep discount compared to the $150 price tag it used to fetch, and within this price range is an easy WIN.

I've used a Logitech g pro wireless for a year and it's honestly incredible. It won't make you a better gamer, but it is the best mouse money can buy in my opinion. Once you cut the cord you can't go back.

@@owenpacey4219 The G Pro Superlight is even better than the "normal" G Pro, because is way lighter, the final mouse is also very good, but really fragile, most due to it being so light, being probably the lightest mouse there is. So have that in mind if you want to buy one. I'd go with the G Pro Superlight, mostly because it's easier to buy anywhere you live, and have a much broader spectrum of support also. But any of the two would be a good choice, won't make make you a much better gamer though...

Does the regular g pro last long ? how's it's longevity ? I'm looking for something which last a long time and worry if the g pro might have like double click issues after a year of use. I just play light gaming btw

@@colin6711 it's very good, I can go days without charging it while playing for 6-7 hours per day, battery life is fantastic. When it does eventually drain after about 4 days without charging at all, I'll plug it in for an hour and it's back up to around 80% right away.

Best mouse I have used to date. Can't go back to wired mouse anymore. I also wanted to mention something about the double clicking issue. I had that happen very consistent on the first one I owned. The only way around that was to click it at the center of the button. So annoying. I had to get a second one about a week ago due to the side buttons not working. And this one hasn't given me that double click issue. I hope it stays that way because having to adjust the click spot is not very practical.

The mouse I use is not mentioned here, which is a Gamdias Ourea, mainly because it helps me not to misclick the wrong side button since they're on opposite sides of the mouse, and the DPI of the mouse is comfortable for me and you can change the weight of it.

I desoldered the omron stock switch and used kailh 8.0 and it's perfect with no issue now, I also changed the stock feet with hyperglides as I think the mouse had terrible stock feet

Mice nowadays are all pretty much in the same ballpark. The perfect mouse all depends on what feels comfortable for you, and you find that through trial and error. I went through the g305, gpro wireless, viper ultimate, and a few others before resting on the model o-. Each mouse performed great, but I always found myself fidgeting my hand struggling to find a natural grip. The model o- gave me that natural grip and it made playing games more fun. Thats all you gotta look for

Once you go wireless, you can never go back. This seems to be true for me. Since the g703 now the g pro wireless, I cannot use a wired mouse. G pro wireless changed my grip for the better as well. It is an incredible mouse and it is worth the "investment". I had used similar priced mice from other brands (not wireless) and I would say this is the most balanced - not too light, not too heavy, ambidextrous, suitable for different style games, tons of charge for a wireless. I cannot believe Logitech is not paying me for this.

@@ggpatatje2654 g703 is nice bit is heavier. It has a better ergonomic shape but the g pro wireleas (using the superlight now) imho is way way better. The pink/magenta edition is incredible. It ia great overall mouse and it is pretty balanced for different activities. Also the g703 got a faulty svroll wheel after a while so it was the reason to switch to g pro wireless 1st edition. The new superlight is better - better switches, better scroll and it is way lighter. So my advice would be to get the superlight g pro wireless. It ia more expensive than g703 but it is better.

I have the Shroud edition, it has RGBB, the shroud logo isn't even visible if your right handed, you can buy it for $100-130, and lastly they added a different part to the mouse that made it so the double clicking no longer happens.

Logitech had 1ms wireless mice before the G Pro. I switched to the G Pro half a year ago or so, but until then I was using the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum and it worked absolutely flawlessly. I can still not feel a difference between the 2 in terms of reaction time and accuracy. Obviously the G Pro has a few advantages, like being lighter and for both hands, but The G900 was also a pretty amazing mouse.

For me, I've owned about 15 mice which includes majority of the top recommended mice. GPW, I just straight up aim the best with it. Even over the GPX. Can't say it's hype for me, but it seems to have the best combination of features and shape over other mice. Close second for me is the Outset AX and Air58

From someone who works in the industry of gaming peripherals, I’ll drop my quick take. Logitech are doing it right. They listened to the pros feedback, and built around that. The mouse is increadible, and truly ahead of it’s time. Even though the company I work for is a direct competitor of Logitech, I can only say good things about them. I’m jealous that they’ve created a masterpiece, but at the same time happy for the gaming community. The future for gaming perhipherals is very bright. The keyboards, mice and mousepads of the future are going to be insane.

Long term advocate of logitech mouses, theyre great. I have had the same model for at least 8 years and it has never failed me. The G402 may not be the fastest anymore but me chilling in mid silver in lol sure cant blame my int on my mouse.

Im using one. The only problem that I have with this bad boy is the form/shape. Im more into ergo mouses but dang the weight and the speed are godsend. I don't have that double clicking in my one year of using it as my daily driver (work and game... intensive gaming).

Used a gpro for like 2 years. Such a good mouse but I switched over to a razer viper ultimate and the viper works better for me since it's shorter in height and I use like a fingertip/ claw grip but honestly the gpro will most likely work for more people because of the height

I'm honestly surprised that the G900 isn't mentioned. I still have mine and it's quite literally the best mouse i've ever had. I've never been able to notice any input issues, there are side buttoms, smooth scroll wheel option, top buttons, great battery life. Never any mechanical problems after 4 years of use at a (non-pro) high level of fps gaming

Me and my brother had a guess on the double clicking problem. It happened me after using razer's deathadder mouse after a couple years of using it. The fix for the double click is to open up the mouse, removing the clicking switch, open up the switch itself, and clean (with alchool or such) both the metal parts that touch the switch metal. Our guess is that, after you use the mouse for a while, you start to wear off the metal and create small metal parts (or metal dust). And when you click, it debounces all around on those metals so that it double clicks or in my case, if I just stand on pressing the mouse1, it would debounce (very fast double clicks at a random time with sometimes stopping (like press, it clicks once, then stays like that for a couple of seconds, then it starts double, tripling or more clicks, and stops again, etc...)) all over it. So after cleaning it, it never happens again. (at least for the next couple of years)

I have the G pro wired, its the best mouse I've ever had until i started getting double click issue. But, I found a fix for that, blow into the gabs of the mouse, apparently it's cause of static build up in the switches and the blowing into the mouse provides moisture to discharge the switch's.
