Remember Steven Universe it was confirmed that they are actually singing. Which means Jasper got her ass beat and got convinced to think Fusion is kinda cool by Garnet's song.
Lucifer does run hell like a circus and Llith did empower hell with her voice. Could be part of the culture or help them increase their magic/power with epic songs. When someone sings heads turn. Who doesn’t sing when there alone. Maybe Alastor is providing some of the music though his radio microphones that are across Hell.
That's the world I'd like to live in. Reality is so fucking boring, why does nobody start randomly dancing and singing about their dreams on the streets?
I like to think, as I do for many musical settings: 1. The songs are happening 2. They can happen to anyone at any time 3. As such, they are a huge nuisance since you might get pulled into someone else's musical number when you've got shit to do. 4. The universe gives you the lyrics if it's not your song. Otherwise, the cleverer you are, the better and more complex your lyrics.
the Game Theory is Charlie is a cognitohazard causing people to sing & being in the presence of her for too long also causes you to become a cognitohazard (namely Alastor)
Kinda reminds me of Luicifer (the show). There was a whole episode where God was feeling musical, so everything became a spontaneous music number with no one really noticing or caring besides Lucifer. Wouldn't be surprised if it's something like that. Haven't really noticed any songs that didn't include people with a history of performing present, so might just be a power of musically inclined demons.
my hypothesis is that higher level demons such as Alastor and Charlie DO in fact warp reality when they sing. Something about their power also compels others to either sing along or not question it. Like a subtle mind control.
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast honestly, it could just be like a standard musical you now think about Westside story none the characters bring up how they’re singing or anything idk really know It’s kinda a Schrodinger‘s box type situation Either they do or don’t know if they’re singing Or could be like the guy who didn’t like musicals
Thats something I got but sometimes didnt get, like how in the pilot its joked about that Charlie is an insane musical addict who needs to express herself through it, but now everyone is doing it and visuals are appearing do to imagination, demonic power, etc but then you have the "Respectless" scene and you're left going "D-did anyone else notice they were singing, is it a visual for the audience, is this just accepted bc they're Overlords lol what is happening?"
I can only imagine Mat Pat doing a musical number. XD Actually, come to think of it... he would make a GREAT voice in the cast. Too bad that isn't happening... :(
@@jc_art_ yeah I know. That's pretty common knowledge. That's why I think he'd be so good at it if he were to voice a character. It's unfortunate I think that's just a dream... aaaaa *_DAY_*_ DREEEEAM!_
Lol mever thought about this. I always thought it just meant charlie was the only one that was actually singing and everything else is just meta musical moments
Vivzie took insparation from Disney musicals as she said herself in one of her streams. So it explains it, since musicals like that aren't supposed to make sense in terms of how characters feel about these musical numbers in the show itself. Musicals like that exist to show a character's emotions, backstories and relationship with other characters through music. So you shouldn't br thinking too much into musicals in general, since the musical numbers aren't suppost to make all the sense within the verse, it's a way to show a character to the viewer.
Maybe it’s some rule of hell that everything occurs as a musical, because people really hate them? This’d also explain Adam’s number but the other 2 heaven songs I’m not sure of.
In episode 5, afters mimzys solo is hells greatest dad, the lights dissapear as she stops singing, which means it if happening and i guess its just something they can do
Personally I like to think that most songs are happening diagetically (aka in the world as an actual thing). -Charlie loves to sing so she clearly is singing her songs, the visuals could be subconsciously conjured by her demonic powers. -Alastor clearly sings and plays music during both his duets. -As for the isolated cases: Adam is a musician and steals Charlie's song to screw with her; Velvette sings as a way to disrespect the overlords; "welcome to heaven" could be the result of heaven's magical nature, and/or prepared in advance to welcome Charlie. The few songs that I think aren't completely diagetic imo are those from E4 (poison is probably happening in Angel Dust's mind as a drug induced blur ; Husk's song is just a catchy tune, but the fact that Angel's intoxicated create the visuals) and the Carmila/Vaggie duet from E3 (like how the fuck do they sing the same song despite not being in the same place, or even knowing eachother).
I think that everyone is taking this show too literally. There's a ton of metaphores that go over most peoples heads (those who don't care to see them) *as someone who deals with unwanted/unwarrented hallucinations; probably not a nice way to phrase that situation. It seems more like the musical parts are a mental/ narrative representation of what the character(s) are going through
The angels I give a pass for b/c of angelic choruses being a whole entire aesthetic that’s pretty well established. I think maybe the fact that Charlie and Lilith have similarly music related interests and aesthetics are fun to think of as mirroring that, maybe even also for the rest of the cast. It’s a little odd, but maybe it’s a side effect of being literally just a soul now that makes music and singing your heart out easier Just a headcanon tho ig
If we use "outside" information, in helluva's pilot episode, Loona saw Charlie's music number with the puppy and clouds. So it is happening using some magic
I feel like people commenting on the singing thing is Vivzie being all like "look at us. We're pointing out how cringe musicals is because we're so funny and quirky" It's just a dumb joke
Unrelated question: does God exist in hazbin hotel because they never mentioned him when explaining the lore of the creation of humanity instead they said that the angels created Adam and lilith?
Where is the music coming from? Who is the person filming the characters? Why are there so many time skips in the show? Could time travel be involved? Is there such a thing as a stupid question?
What if it's thanks to lucifer or other powerfull demon's magic that grants everyone in hell the ability to temporally alter reality while their singing snd dancing, all just for the fun of it. But it's easy to cut it by external interversion, just like at the end of "loser, baby" but most sinners join, again, just for the fun of it.
I personally hc that Alastor can tune into when demons start singing and he provides the instrumental music we hear since he’s can appreciate a good musical number. As for canon? I just accept that hell is one giant musical where demons can randomly break out into song singing what they’re feeling and thinking without prior set up for it. Like it just happens cause magic.
I think the visuals affects are an reflection of their power. The more power someone has the more they warp reality while singing. Less powerful beings would crate some sing or localized changes supporting their singing. While Charlie bends hell itself to conform to her desires while singing. Husk could create these images while singing, because he is an overlord.
that actually makes sense... and since angel is weak its just a compilation of him acting...... this makes too much sense and i kinda hate it if it wasnt 2 am i would go through all the songs and check how the visuaals were like but.. eh fuck its too late to do that shit
I actually theorized that this was Charlie's doing like some kinda ability she uses unconsciously this would also explain why other characters know the lyrics to the songs they're singing and how it affects angels nobody acknowledges it because they dont even realize they're doing it and charlie doesn't consciously use it so it only activates when characters are trying to convey they're feeling to each other
My theory is that it's all Charlie. She is Lucifer's daughter, I think she has unconscious influence on the Sinners and the World around her to make people sing out their feelings and thoughts, and it's not perceived as unnatural to anyone else except hellborns like the loansharks for example. Also Angel are affected to because they have human souls.
@@karlthorkildson4650 I was going off of the fact she looks more like her dad but that is a good point I didn't think about, and it only strengthens my argument. lol
My headcanon to basically any show that does the "Annnnd... She's singing" kinda musical (Tangled, hazbin...) Is that this actually IS normal for that world, like for us it sounds weird that people who don't even know each other will start singing the same song like they practiced it a million times, but for them it's just how the world works, and just like in a world were gravity doesn't exist they would find us being stuck to the ground weird we find people magically starting music videos weird
If you wanna sound fancy, the word for if the music that characters in a show or musical or whatever are singing is actually happening in-universe or not is called a song being diegetic or non-diegetic. Diegetic means it IS happening in the world, and non-diegetic means that it's NOT really and it's just a representation of what's going on, etc. Just a little tidbit for if you want to sound super knowledgeable or just get to be a smartass when it comes to musicals to all the plebeians who don't know what that word means.... which is most people, lmao 🤣
