Himalayan is my first and only geared bike. I have learnt to ride on this big machine only. It took good amt of time but.

Is the mileage good for regular city commute? I want to use it for mainly city commute, but I do want to have the flexibility to go on road trips. Hence, I'm inclined towards this bike. Please let me know if this is a good choice or should I consider something else altogether?

It is decent for city use, however I think if you are going to use a bike for your daily commute you should consider something a little lighter like the Triumph Scrambler 400X . It is great for a long trip too and as an all rounder , it would most likely suit your purpose better.

How would this fare for a person like me who has been with hand gear chetak from 1990. Does this bike help into a smoother transitioning for guys like me.

No, this one would be a difficult to recommend motorcycle. Start with something small like the Apache RTR 200. This is heavy and Powerful, might not set the right experience of a motorcycle

To tell you the truth, you already have the basics of riding on two wheels. The transition you talk about is moving from hand gears to operating the gears with your left foot. It is an easy bike to ride, however it also comes down to your use. If you want a city commuter, then get a Hero Splendor, TVS Apache, or even a Pulsar 160. The Himalayan is more for the open road, long trips and touring. Either way, the best way to figure out if a bike is for you is with a test ride :)

I want to buy this bike, but hesitate considering.. the first model had loads of issue in start.. later they resolved it. What do you think

I've owned the last generation of 411 for 2 years and have never faced any issues. Key is regular maintenance and minor upkeep. It's highly customisable and is like a tractor in terms of torque. New generation looks promising and better quality.

Which is best Himalayan 411 or 450??

The 450 is a massive upgrade over the 411. Rides better, looks better, gets a more powerful engine, boasts of more refinement

I honestly do! I found it extremely easy to ride from the get go and I am no biker…just one of the few times I’ve been in two wheels and I was so impressed with the ease of use this bike offers.

Why nobody never make a video about bikes with a pillion (passenger), nobody says the maximum load weight of the bike!? Do you maybe know the load weight of this RE 450? Thanx ✌️
