I am very thankful for you, Chad Bird! God is using you to open up so many wonderful truths from the Old Testament. May God bless you greatly with His amazing love, and joy, and peace✝️❤️🙏 I look forward to learning more through your teachings. Thank you✝️
Chad you are a gift and blessing to the body of Christ . Praise God for you! Just finished Hitchhiking with Prophets and revisiting Limping with God and so blessed
Wow!!! I am so blessed to have come across this video! I am just about half way through Leviticus and I am struck by how much the life of Jesus and his ministry parallels Leviticus. Thank you for further illuminating these themes!
I have a book that is going to be one of my next ones to read, on how Jesus fulfilled the festivals. I think he has fulfilled the spring festivals and when he comes again will fulfill the fall festivals. Can't wait to read it! Like you said, Leviticus 23 😊
Thank you for the phenomenal video. I have one question, what texts in leviticus point you to the concept that in the temple the closer you get to God the holier you are? The topic that usually comes to mind for me is that the closer you get to the holy of holies the holier you must already be (edit: ritually pure I suppose?). It's obvious in the new testament but seeing it in Leviticus would be awesome. Thank you!
You are very welcome! Hopefully this longer video from my 1517 presentation will explain this better. If not, just let me know: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VOhUH7z5Bzc.html
Absolutely, especially the Day of Atonement, which Jesus fulfills. As a study, I read Exodus (at Sinai) through Deuteronomy. Then compared this to Hebrews. Law vs Gospel.
2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
where is it said "the blood provides atonement"? cleansing: yes, atonement: no! (not the same thing ) suggest out all your assumptions aside, take off the rose coloured glasses, and read it fresh.
Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’”
@@chadbird1517 "by reason of the life" that makes atonement". The blood dabbed here and there to cleanse, the life-for-a-life the atonement ... just the way I've understood it. (Also "sacrifice" - giving up something valuable - compare to theft where atonement was giving the $ back + extra ... for undoable sins - atonement - give up something one owns as alternative ... remember most people that time could barely afford 1 sheep so it wasn't cheap.) Moving on NT - lot of people didn't get the sprinkling of blood - obviously to cleanse the vessels (us) for the HS. The body - the life-for-a-life. 2 components? 2 things being addressed. (you know the details why I kept short as poss.)
