In this video, I discuss the importance in how to find the difference between vertigo and a stroke. Vertigo can make you feel dizzy, and this can be a sign of a stroke, but isn’t guaranteed to be one. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of a possible stroke is important, as is getting treatment when necessary.
Signs of a stroke occur when the supply of blood in the brain becomes compromised by a clogged or burst artery. It’s a medical emergency because, until the stroke is treated, brain damage will continue to occur. Signs of a stroke include facial drooping, arm weakness, and slurred speech. There are also atypical symptoms including headache, nausea, numbness and in some cases, vertigo.
