Nick is essentially right here. I saw a study about the difference in importance of a star player in basketball vs football. Since only 5 players are on the court, and the fact they play offense and defense, having the more skilled player is huge. Having the 3 best players in the world means you win every single time.

No matter what LBJ decides he will be hated no matter what. If he stays in Cle never wins another title he not great, If he goes to another team whens more Rings he still not great, IF he stays and wins more rings in Cle and somehow gets 7 rings he still went to another team for 2 rings. No matter what he decides most of the NBA fans will find something no matter what LBJ does in the next 6 years of his NBA career. So LBJ as a fan do what makes you and family be happy man one thing is for sure you will be named one of best to have ever played and when your Career is done you will be talked about with some of the greats in NBA PERIOD.

Lebron James is one of the greatest players to ever pick up a basketball. From Cyo to aau to high school to NBA. He's going down in history as one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA. He's broken many records in the league. Never been in trouble or scandal and has 3 championship rings. If he never wins another Championship. Three rings is more than enough. Leaving Cleveland in my opinion is senseless and a slap in the face. Lebron is ready for the next Level of NBA. Executive office,General manager or team owner level. Chasing more championships and rings with another team would be in my opinion pointless.

Brett Reason oh no you're right. I was just giving him props cause I'm also from Edmonton lol. Hockey is a poor reference anyways in comparison to basketball. Much more of a team oriented sport. But yea, in terms of the Edmonton Oilers, they were great at that time, but there were also great teams like Philly, Islanders, Calgary, Washington, Winnipeg. Could go as far as saying there were more than 1 GSW type teams there. But you're right, Gretzky isn't a good comparison in this situation.

Nick is completely right. In a 7 game series with so many possessions, basketball is the one sport where if you have by far the superior talent you will be near unbeatable if healthy. Warriors should not be a LeBron destination choice. It would be like if Tim Duncan joined Shaq and Kobe on the Lakers in 2001, just not even competitive anymore

Jordan cheated on his wife, punched a teammate, was a gambler (would go gambling during the playoffs), wasn't socially conscious but LeBron going to play with the Warriors is the ultimate NO NO.
