Honestly Costa seems cool af despite being built like a beast. He tries to hype up his fights in English the best he could while still having respect for his opponents deep inside, like when they've had wholesome interactions out in public. Felt bad for Costa when Izzy brought up the handshake but then I remember this is all for promo. Both humble chill fighters, I hope Costa stays at the top

Costa would have lost even faster in my opinion, all that showboating was straight up ego. Add a crowd and his ego would have made him lose in round one.
He’s quite lean, and Paulo himself did have to lean down quite a bit for the fight, but Izzy looks a lot skinnier than he actually is because of his 6’3 frame(I know he’s listed as 6’4 on UFC, but he himself claimed 6’3 as his height)
Smart fighters know muscles don't mean to much when the other persons techniques are great. Israel might not be the most built guy but he's one of the smartest in the sport. Sit there and pick people apart.
My dad was an street fighter back in the 30s and 40s. He lost very few fights.He always said the toughest guys he fought were about 170 to 180 and tall and lanky, never the muscular guys. I always remembered that, and I find it’s fairly accurate in the UFC.

Israel's IQ is off the charts. His head movements are top notch. his striking abilities are amazing. no one can beat him imo. Only Jon Jones can give him a fair fight.

Izzy is actually smart as fuck If he fought Jones now he'd lose He knew from the begining he will need some more ufc experience especially in the clinch department before he could take on Jones Man this guy is a genius I'm calling it now he will def be ready in 2021 when he says he's ready. Fighting Jones now is suicide but that's how smart he is he knows he needs to gain the experience and when he does he will beat Jones.. When you talked like God simply because Adesanya talk always with faith and belief knowing fully well that we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us (my own belief as a Christian though). They were so blinded by Izzy's performance against Romero that I would venture to guess his coaches told him he won't even need to use his grappling because "the KO will come so quick". Huge disappointment.

Dude I will never in my life forget the sound of the kick that Izzy hits Costa in the head with. I’m convinced after that head kick the fight was basically over. Izzy drops him with a glancing hook to finish the fight but imo that head kick stung Costa too badly and it was all downhill from that point on.
One thing I learned is that, always respect your opponent. They are not in war with you. They are just the reason you are in business. Even if you are going to make them cry, keep it for yourself, respect your opponent because the ugly fact that they accept to oppose you in a fight, means they have something great. If you don't, you might end up being humbled with some humpings
Yano, when this fight was happening, I was excited. Romero stood and did nothing due to Izzy not allowing him and I thought Costa would at least use that pressure he used in other fights but against Izzy, again he was like Romero and just stood not knowing what to do. Respect to Izzy man he is a difficult and great fighter/champion.
