The problem is not the seasonal characters because if that's what the game offers since release you get to decide if you buy it or not. The problem here is that they're doing this 5 years later, in a very aggressive way because the seasonal content will be avaible only for them, making the time invested in the first agent a wasted time. You know why we hate our 9-5 jobs? Because we do 8 hours of hard work just to get there the next day and start as if we didn't do anything the day before. The Division is doing the same, but with something we paid for and without a good reason.

They just have to do something for veterans player I’m sure new players don’t have an issue with anything but the vets made this game what it is

I have about 3000 hours in The Division and about 5200 hours in Division 2 the fact ive spent that amount of time with the Story and levelling my character and making now approx 16 builds via the content and story is a testament to what i like about the overall game and it's story and setting, but now any new story and gear/weapons to make new builds with is going to be a start from 0 scenario every new season has put me off all together. Will i come back i doubt it as for the DLC i doubt i'll buy that as well, my day 1 character is where the story has been told (now it's cast aside by all accounts no thanks.)

Well said. Good on ya for speaking up. I'm pissed off and demotivated... First, the current dreadful story arc... cheap & lazy. Next, seasonal characters.... No thanks. I've invested 3000 hours in my character. I wanna play with my character. I don't want a 2 week window where, whoopie doo, i can play with my main character. What if im busy working long nights for those 2 weeks and cant get on to play? Tough. They said the current model of having mule characters shows that we already play this way, with extra characters supporting our main character... No, the reason we have to create extra mule characters is to get resources and materials for the RIDICULOUS EXPERTISE system they bloody created...and now that we've invested all that time, resources, money, they say they can't balance the game?! Absolute clowns. They can't fix bugs and gameplay issues, unless it benefits us players, in which case it's patched really quickly... Yet there's other (sometimes game breaking) bugs we've had for years they can't be arsed to sort out. Who were the players they were listening to who want all this new shite? Name and shame them please! As i said, im nearly 3000 hours in, shd 5216 and probably expertise 19. Ive grinded so much to get that, and that's all been for nothing now apparently. What a waste of time! They are trying to appeal to transient, low attention span, low interest players, those who will pay to progress and skip. Also trying to appeal to certain markets, like China, where they even have different / separate servers, maps, missions, apparel events etc. When i started playing 5 years ago, i wanted to progress and improve my builds, collect everything, achieve stuff. When the game beat me i did the grind to improve until i beat it. When i get whipped in DZ, as horrible as it is, it inspires me to improve. All the long time, loyal, players will leave. It might work for them financially in the short term, but it will be the death of this game. I've bought hundreds of Ubisoft games over the decades. Won't be buying any more. Im gutted, as I play most days, even if only for a short while, and it will leave a big hole in my life tbh. But im not playing a glorified version of Descent. Probably with crap directives and modifiers.... ...and if the first seasonal character turns out to be playing as Theo Parnell I will scream and delete the game immediately haha. And if i want to play with disposable seasonal characters, there's many different, better, options in other games. All we want is some new missions... They already have so many buildings and locations they could create new missions on existing maps. And increase difficulty by increasing number of enemies rather than making them boring terminator bullet sponges, who can sprint like Usain Bolt... Honestly, if you created like 1 new mission each month, we'd love you forever! Ubi / Massive: Please listen to us loyal long timers, who pay for every season pass etc. Don't kill this game, please. Right, I'm off to summon Yannick the Beard in that underground area in Constitution Hall and kick his arse, take out my frustration on him... 😂

Why the hell would any sane person even consider forking out for D3 unless you are a glutton for punishment.

I just can't justify not using my character that I have hundreds of hours dedicated to getting gear and max expertise and put it aside for a character I'll only use for 1 season from scratch just because they can't balance the game for new players.

I'm a veteran and have enjoyed Div 1 and 2. I'm not a fan of this seasonal move and I would most likely stop playing the game and find something else to play.

So, You got me curious.. I am one of those that quit.. I quit in June of 2021 and never looked back. I had to log in to my Ubisoft account to see when my last level up was to verify.. I just came back in April and I am really trying to embrace it again. Just hit level 1000 last week, I have over 1300hrs in Div 2, and almost 2000hrs in on Div 1. The concept of the game is incredible. Its amazing that it still has the player base that it does after 6yrs! Sometimes its better to let something go and pick it up later. If it really bothers some, then leave.. I considered myself a true fan, and I think things are far worse at the moment than they ever were. All the BS has been going on for years.. Love it or leave it.. I think the Devs feel like they are going to revive this. Not giving us the time of day during Ubisoft Forward tells me exactly where this game is in the Devs mind.. As far as The Division 3.... If they were truly going to drop a Division 3 they would of given this game a lot more screen time during Ubisoft Forward to get some momentum moving forward.. If the community responds they way they have, The Division 3 will be dead because I can guarantee this was most likely a test bed for what they are thinking for our future... Stay safe out there Agents...

100% will def leave! I'm a longtime Division 1 grinder and fan boy, absolutely loved LOVED Division 1. When 2 came out, I went all-in and never looked back. It was me and 4 family members playing every night and having an absolute blast. Not sure what happened but we all stopped playing for awhile, until recently. Maybe bout 7 months ago we all decided to give it another try and from that moment on we have been playing the hardest. Late night grind sessions, set days aside for full gaming farm days, etc etc....we ALL loved all the new content, even the exhausting grind to level-up your expertise. It was a love/hate kinda thing. Something about where the game is now has our crew and friends actually excited...genuinely freaking excited! At family occasion we are talking builds, or making plans for next raid, or busting balls on who really screwed up...we ALL got super excited about new DLC coming, watched trailer and we all knew, that was it...we all knew all the hard work grinding, making mule after mule was worth it cause it was going to be HUGE! However after we found out what really is planned...I can't express enough how much it was a disappointment! I'm truly hoping you will reconsider the future plans for Division. I understand trying to make the playing field level for everyone but how you are going about it is truly wrong. Hours/days spent grinding, making moves, spending time helping new players etc etc all to watch it go up in flames! Please find another way, do something crazy maybe that never been done, have a multiple live video discussion with your customers about pitching ideas on how to fix this...just do something, please. I can tell you for a FACT if nothing is done and things go as planned, we will absolutely ALL uninstall. Knowing allot of other loyal Division customers feel the same way should help make this decision easier.

I just wish they gave us more of a choice. I've played numerous games were I've had seasonal characters. Honestly it kept those games fresh. But those are other games. The systems in place don't match up with the seasonal archetype. Thanks for staying calm and being the voice of reason!

The fact that they have to setup Q&A’s and FAQ’s just to explain how to play this game now is insanity. It’s not fun anymore, it’s work. Making it so grindy to get this gear and then tell us to forget it all is insulting at this point in year 5.

The division game in of it's self was never designed to be what Diablo has in mechanic wise with seasonal character, their player count will show with low player count, they should have released more news on Division 3, with games like Blue protocol, The First Decedent, Throne of Liberty coming out...

Its not a rocket science. why dont they just ask the player first? like ask, you want this or that feature? bla bla? or is there anything you want? like need more inventory space. we ask for it, hell we even willing to paid extra for it. yet they add something we never ask for.

I grinded out 3 toons on PS4/5 ever since the start. I finally put D2 on my gaming laptop because i refuse to pay Sony that much money for PS+. At any rate i've been grinding my character on the laptop, just about 600 shade level. If Massive thinks i am going to start over, they're delusional. I can find something else to play.

as a div2 of almoat five years, I have too much to do in my life to play any more then 5-6 days a month. If seasonal characters make it impossible (or a hell of a grind to keep up with seasonal characters) i'll have no issue dropping div2 and focusing that extra free time on much more productive things like learning new instruments, producing more music and continuing to dabble with my fledgling video editing hoobby.

Massive wants to create a balance experience by putting everyone on the same playing field...what they need to understand is, who do you think the new players are learning from? Can't coach a rookie if you made us into a rookie....

I've not played since this first started, and I don't see that changing. I'm not saying I'm out forever, but I don't see any reason to come back. Yesterday's FAQ only cemented my view the devs are liars and just want my money without addressing what I want in exchange. I'll still watch you and other CC such as NYL, Soak Disko and The Gaming Brigade as I enjoy your work - RogueGold and Grock can get stuffed. I have been playing Division 2 since Day1 and Division 1 before. I agree with you. They should be considering Veterans because we keep the game going!

Hey man, I feel your frustration. Just last night after I got home from work. I was looking in the Playstation store for a new game. I've been a big fan of the division game and part of the community since day 1. But for the past year, my love for this game has been hanging by a thread. If it wasn't for you and buzzlightbeer and kamikazevondoom, I would've dropped this game a long time ago. This game still has potential, but it's almost like they've given up and said we're gonna stop with major changes of division 2 and just focus on division 3. Which I may not even bother getting. Keep up the good content, bro.

I understand your stands on the seasonal characters... we already have Descent, where we start from nothing and grind it out to see how high we can go. Seasons 2.0/Manhunt 2.0 needs to be a completely different experience from what we already have in order for veterans and new comers to play this game.. If its not, then we will know what will happen.. I have watched videos made by Epic Slayerz, RogueGold, Sgt.GreyBread, and KamiKazeVonDoom.. For myself, I will play Season 2.0 when it comes out and make my decision then on whether to on or move on.. P.S. The company knows and doesn't care it's about sqweesing out profit, minimal investment, maximum return, ...not quality, not community its money period

Having been with Division since the beta way back when, I checked out about a year ago when the developer-led campaign against the player reached my tipping point. D2 was arguably worse than the previous iterations (other than the 1.3 time in D1) with some new mechanics, but it all felt off versus the first game. At any rate, constantly removing power from the player gets to a point where you're being penalized for supporting the game. This kind of dick move from the developers betrays all the work players have put in to now, literally telling us 'you're starting over with every chase'. Nope, I had my time in hell already, this won't get me back, and for the precious few still around, uhh, good luck.

I have 3400 hours in division 2 … the devs lost touch with the game and what is fun for us players… Maybe when the DLC is coming i coming back … And for you identity… allwayes love your content 🤘🏻😊

You're right about the importance of content creators like yourself. I played all of the main story solo not understanding the grind or builds. The CCs got me back into the end game because of the knowledge I gained

I think I figured out why they are doing what they are doing and why and if I'm correct all the B!T(hing and griping we are doing is going to do no good because they can't change it. 1. All a Seasonal Character is, is a Hard Core Character that can't die, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I am, Hard Core Characters are on their own different servers that regular toons can't interact with. 2. We will get additional stash space just like our Hard Core Characters mysteriously got a few months back, the Devs must have been already working on this and that is why they never mentioned it in updates, I thought it was very strange at the time but now it makes sense. 3. The Reason the Seasonal Characters will not be able to play Global Events is the new system they are implementing is just a re-named and Re-painted Global Event and instead of (whichever) Cashe' at level whatever it will be Comms, apparel, gear or whatever. They won't be able to do Global Events is because the will conflict with each other. The thing I don't get is how we are going to "share" whatever with our main toon afterward, me thinks that is going to get really hosed up and really p!$$ people off. That could be what the Temp storage is for, You move it from Your Seasonal Character stash to the Temp and then from the Temp to your main toon. Like I said, I think i get it now, the WHY? But I still don't like it, we'll see how right (or wrong) I am in a few months.

I have 3055h 55m in The Division 2. I have bought all season passes, to support a game I love. Seasons 2.0 is probably going to be the straw that broke the camel's back. To me, it all hinges on the implementation of seasonal characters. If the 'required play time' is minimal, then I can live with that. My available playtime is limited, and I would rather play the character that I have put my time into optimizing, rather than a glorified mule. If the characters will require the bulk of my time, I will move on. It's just not worth my time.

💯!!! Disregarding the whole fan base/community that built these games and helped it get to where it is and keep it there is utterly disgusting! Can you guarantee that these new players you are trying to rope in are going to be as passionate and dedicated as we all have been? I saw this for what it was about a year ago, I have about 3500 hrs. into this game and they want to grind even more, for basically nothing? Nah, I'm good. I haven't played this game in about a year and I'm not sure if I will even play this game anymore.

I have a few words to add to all of this... Quality Control. I started in 1.3 D1, it was so bad you had to cheese to get through standard missions. It got better and I played, a lot. D2 happened and I was excited, to see a new world, new things to do and experience. Then QC failure, every release since day 1! Yes we struggled and waited patiently. But guess what? I had Diablo 3 and then 4, a franchise I have been playing since day 1. I could always go back there or even Counter Strike if I needed a shooter. But I wanted the ARPG looter / shooter. I wanted the builds, then challenges of the mind not just the KB/M. I have skipped seasons of D2, because to me, I was disenchanted, tired of the broken code, that would ruin the game, take weeks if not months or never to get fixed. Its as if Ubi/Massive thought that we would not notice, be sheep. I returned over and over, because I love the game when it is working correctly, which it isnt again. Hell if D2 is doing seasonal, give us a reborn loot system, Diablo 4 just did it. I agree that D3 should be fresh and new, not an overlay on this stack of jacked up code that D2 has become. The story, adaptation to a game of Tom Clancy's books, lore and the intrigue is wonderful... but the game is just that a game: same rat different maze.

I quit playing awhile ago when I realized (too late) that they are not going to give us any more PvP content. Everything they give us now is not fun to replay. Or even play. And the sad thing is that TD3 will be more of the same. All of the Ubisoft PvP developers are working on other projects. Good luck, Agents. I was a day one TD1 player. Time to jump ship.

You are completely right!!! And WE NEEDED A DIVISION 3!!! But it needs to be aside that can compete against with cod! We can do, better.

I have started watching the little guys channels that are just talking about the new stuff. All the larger of channels are going full Skillup and will flameout. Which is a good thing.

It seems that many recent announcements from developers can unfortunately be interpreted as biased against the veteran community, which makes me feel unwelcome to participate. It's looking mighty more inviting to adventure under the Erd Tree.

I quit this game after 5k hours because they never fix their mistakes and after seeing this, I've never been more sure that it was a good decision. I won't be playing div3.

I just feel that all my time investment into my character has been a waste, plus I seriously doubt the season 2.0 content is going to be anything significant beyond rehashed previous content, quite frankly I am somewhere between disillusioned and feeling betrayed and lets face it no where between those two points is a good place to be. So many other games to play Ubisoft has be smoking something whacky to be so out of touch with the player base to pull this kind of stunt.

Gone are the days of making an amazing game to bring in players. They design from the ground up to have their fingers in your wallet. That is ALL this change is. They see an opportunity to transition to a more aggressive, exploitative monetization structure and they don't give a damn about anything else. This is the first big step turning Div 2 into a mobile app with a million IAP tugging at your sleeve every moment you're logged in and the community can smell it.

I don't have it in me to grind anymore. It was already bad enough for farming countdown for exotic components. Now they want me to start over? Some of us have jobs! So, eventually, I will move on. This is sad cause I have been with the Division since D1. Now Im not even sure if I even want to waste my time with Division 3. Not to mention, the game is always broken.

Ubisoft is doing alot of things that make no sense to me. I am huge fan of this game and AC games. Even the AC Valhalla was good but long. Hopefully ubisoft will see what ppl want and not do this 2.0 thing. They will truly lose me. Plus I play this game everyday. I dont play diablo bc of the seasonal pass. To start over after I get to lvl 1611 to lvl 1. Thats crazy. Makes no sense.

I will start a new game this weekend. I will not be playing this game regularly any more. I will check in from time to time, my friends are going to do the same. They are losing a lot of money with these folks making the rules.

So, basically, I spent 3000 hrs developing my character, just to have to restart from scratch every time with a seasonal character... They are sadly mistaken. I'm dumping this game until real, not insulting content comes out. Or maybe just forever.

Imma just log on and play my main when i feel like it and wait for the DLC. If something cool/a must have exotic comes out during the season I'll play the last 2 weeks or wait for it to hit the general loot pool. It is what it is.

It's like arrogant directors of comic movies where they've never read the lore (you know, the things that made people buy the comics and invest time in the first place). "Their" vision has nothing to do with what the fans want, and their corporate masters remain hidden in anonymity (RIP Henry Cavill as Superman). Remember Taika Waititi? Neither do I. He promised to ruin everyone's mythos in a minute on the Thor movies. Look at what Thor was and look at what he became. Marvel as a whole for that matter. Did they act like they gave a care about the fans? The state of the Division is the same. We are not blameless in this either. Look how fast the "DEVS" moved when so many people complained about the "difficulty" of the original gear system. The Veterans called the new people noobs and children and told them to play another game. Well, that's about what we got after they were done with us after looking at the total number of people playing the game plummet. Also, "The Community" seems to be a split between cliques and loners and PVE was the catalyst. I believe the developers gravitated to every negative event people whined about that happened to fall in line with "the corporate narrative." All while the "community" was beating itself up. Never let a good disaster go to waste. Know what I mean? Who knows whether Seasons 2.0 was in the long game, but it's not original and they didn't even ask us (Yet another red flag). This is a corporate move, the devs get beat up for doing what they have to do to make a living and the people responsible get promoted in darkness. The descent mode was a plant to let them see what would grow (public response). I've never even touched it. Nemesis of what? Certainly not the character I've spend 3 years building. Honestly, the only way to fix it is to leave. At this point, Ubisoft and EA "feel" the same to me. That is hard and I can't even believe I'm saying it, but if the Division 3 is anything like this, I'm gone for good. I'll find out before I even play it. No prenup (preorder) no hype, it's either fresh and innovative or it's more of this crap. Money is the only thing that drives them now and I can't care more than they do. Who at Ubisoft is at the head of development for the Division? If you don't know, then your complaints are going to end up in digital dumpster. Goodnight, Division. It was great while it lasted. I hope the good guys win, but I can't plan for hope; my time is too precious to me...

So they used the carrot and stick tool developers often use for the power fantasy chase and gave us SHD and Expertise. Season characters are clearly their response to designing themselves into a corner with power creep. They said it themselves about delivering content experience even and equal for all players. Other developers like Warframe and Destiny have solved this through gameplay mechanics (coordinated mechanics, boss health gating, etc). This a always been an area where Massive have struggled so I’m not surprised how we got here. I’ll stick around to see how this plays out. Game is in trouble though. This season is flat. DLC better be a hit. You never know this could all have a negative impact on the budget and resources D3 gets.

First step Anti Cheat in PVP would change game dynamics in a Massive way. It’s such a simple thing to do, I can’t understand why they REFUSE to do it? As for everything thing else it’s just laziness on their behalf. They have become to comfortable serving garbage on the premise that something awesome is just around the corner and yet again….nothing but disappointment! If it was for the community I would have left a long time ago. Unfortunately we are all looking for something else to play.

I fail to see the reason for so much disdain. What is really changing? We get a new character to play in a different way each season. We can continue to play our old characters in all of the content that we usually play - except for most of a season. We don't get the new gear right away for our mains; however, we get new gear for them at the end of every season. DLC will drop and our mains will be used for that content. Personally, I don't need to use my main for a season. By now, my builds are overkill for seasons. I play seasons for the story mostly (which I hope improves in this format). I need my main for only the most challenging content. The way I see it, now I get two characters to play content. Finally, seasonal content will be a challenge again! The game can get monotonous at times, the way it currently is. I strap on my best guns and gear, and hours later I don't remember anything about the session. Maybe Seasons 2.0 addresses this problem.

The seasonal characters should be a optional choice that benefits creating a new character with extra rewards that makes you want to go through with a seasonal character. My personal perspective is that we as the D2 community does not have the time to do so again, it's the summer so I am definitely going to enjoy the weather instead sitting around doing the same thing again without anything that I have .

The game will be alive as long as the developers work on it. It's as simple as that. Do not be resistant to change, because it is the principle of life. Nothing lasts, everything is changing into something else. Including TD2... and also you...

It's the excuse of "to level the playing field for new players " hell no where were these no players when game came out? I've been asking for legendary difficulty world tier, legendary missions, legendary bounties, and even asked about a new specialist who is a medic or hacker to say take over war hounds. These manhunts are copy and paste, the didn't kill off keener as an easy way to continue game without the dlc, its the cheap way to drag the lore out instead of lies about heartland the also poured $/time into a mobile game...which is more likely to get dlc before D2. Ive already started slowly working my way into other games for when its time to abandon D2 once and for all, even though I love the franchise and gameplay I won't keep releveling characters each season

Many veteran players are leaving in their droves. I understand many of the comments here. I understand what Ubisoft are trying to do by encouraging new players with seasonal gameplay. But really, honestly all my years of investment, 7 years or more from Div 1, to Div 2. Shear enjoyment, with game mechanics indisputedly original in their concept. But now I feel totally demotivated. Its been more than a week since season 6 started and I have not logged in. My choice. I have seen vet players rage quit, or leave teams where new players have directives with paper armour and pee shooters for weapons thinking they are invincible !. Clueless to be honest. Its a different mind set for this generation of gamers. Quite often many will quit and move on within a day. Most of the vet players stuck with the original story telling and evolving of characters. But now the story element does not make sense. Its just a re-grind to the point of exhaustion to level up again. Div 3 ?. hmmm well if it happens, it cannot be a new skin on top of old. We need something new, with new code and originality.

This is strike 2. I am a pvp player and I know really good pvp players, I am talking top 1 percent of pvp players for Division franchise who quit this game at the introduction of expertise. I do agree with you new pve players aren't going to stick around because they don't understand the mechanics of the game. Yet they are ignoring veteran Pve and PvP players who have stuck with this game it's a shame. It seems as though they are trying to destroy the essence of the Division and give it a new image of something it is not. Division isn't diablo so stop trying to mimic it. I leave you with this PvP players be prepared for Division 3 to strictly be a PVE game. The cancelation of Heartland is a great indicator and I can tell you from being part of betas it was ready for release.

Seasonal mode later after the story is complete , would be better than interfering with players outside of it for regular players. Some of stuff we attain over 5 years is hard as heck to get one time. Some build take 3 years to put together. 13 % pfe is not falling out the sky like snow. It surely is not . Devs don't play the game and it shows . . Give differ type of invasion every week. Not just blk tusk over and over !! The games a rpg for crying out loud!! Make div 2 dz a stand alone . Alot would appreciate that . I'm not gonna waste my time with fixes . Nobody plays the whole season over . We stay with the story given , if they would finish up the dayum story, maybe this idea would work better . What are these people still doing playing the game daily? Why are they replaying the same shit? Let the game evolve and find another hobby or something.

I was talking with a friend yesterday when the FAQ article came out. Call this an overreaction if you want but for real this time, this could be the end of division 2. This is truly an awful decision and sure, the people saying they are gonna leave could be empty threats but I honestly don't think so. People don't like being forced to play the game a certain way which is why this game flourished as much as it did in the first place. Because you can play pretty much how ever you want to play. This change doesn't eliminate that ability, but it does hurt it a good bit. Especially when you consider that alot of the people that are sticking around play the manhunt and then maybe the league and then they are gone till the next part of the manhunt comes out. If these are not just empty threats, they are going to lose at least probably 80% of the player base. They can't afford that when the game already has a small community as it is. The amount of players they may gain over the next few seasons is not going to compensate for the loss.

GCROCK did a good video today explaining what he thinks they actually intend, and i can see some good points. But my point is thats all great, and i hope it is fresh content or something engaging. My issue is they've played around so much trying to fix codes by trying to write over codes that its just got messy. Its a complex game, i get that, but so is Destiny 2 and the new Dlc is amazing. Thats all i want in a game, for it to work, watching my mate having to stop a raid because the skills wasnt working i felt bad for him, because he does alot of raids. Im always optimistic, i dont think living a life just exepting half of what the potential is is good enough. And truth is theres still bits we dont know, what GCROCK said made sense how they are not taking a character but giving you one, and im confused about the "it has its own loadout" but we can play the end season with our main character, so im confused on what this content even is, will it be easy content, because that tells me it is catering for new players, im not an OG but i know OGs want new challenging content, content that will work, not break after every update which would be every season. And if insane is wanting a game that i love to work how its intended then thats a strange example of what insanity is. Insanity is exepting a game that has major issues and a wet band aid will do, so we'll just let it be. I like Gcs optimistic thought, and maybe they are just not explaining it to well, idk, all i know is i feel left in the dark with conflicting info the devs keep saying, then back tracking. Man when you have passion for something then ofcourse you want it to thrive, not be just taped together hoping new players wont see what is going on and what has gone on. Call me insane for wanting a game that is so unique to be a solid game, because if thats insanity then i guess wanting something you love to work as it should is insane.

Played both div 1 and div2 will not be doing seasonal characters as no reason to lets be honest unless they remove or find a way to remove cheaters from the game then div3 is fucked before it starts sort this game out before you do a new one

Daniel contacts dude I’m not really sure what the fuck you’re talking about there’s not gonna be any new content this game other than seasonal shit. This game is on maintenance. They radically they’re working on the division three although I’ll believe that when I see some fucking gameplay, but like the division one when this game Was in development. There isn’t going to be anything new added to this game other than a minor update the shit that they’ve been putting out since poor Lord I’m outside though eliminating all those ridiculous progressive leveling systems to get it down to one basic system all the way to level 40 goes along way to make this game attractive again, the only reason I’m going to play it and like any true boss, oh OK agent I deleted everything except of you level 30 items because at the time I did it I didn’t realize that was coming. I mean I knew there was a big patch coming, but I didn’t realize that it was going to completely streamline the leveling process so I thought those were the highest level Gear I was going to get, but I deleted my characters. I deleted all my gear and my stash everything except I don’t know seven or eight weapons because there’s nothing more fun in a Luder shooter than getting loot acquiring loot comparing it to what you’re using and putting it on, and they make it really easy to do and now that processis streamline so it’s never going to get confusing you get a new badge look at it doesn’t have a higher level or higher or if it’s the same level and the same armor stats and you put it on and you dismantle or sell the other feet traveler shooter all the way to level 40

People will complain and moan and at the end of the day they'll still play. It's been this way since launch.

I can get the opinion of a lot of players but just wanted to clarify and talk about some things... 1. "I don't want to do the Campaign again." The Dev team stated that you will not have to do the campaign again to level your character nor get access to endgame content. 2. "I don't want to grind up to level 40. My lvl 1000+ main character's time spent is wasted!" As we make our seasonal character they get a substantial boost to their EXP gain and will likely level up to 40 with no time flat. They can be put into more engaging situations because the game devs will have a clearer picture of where your character likely sits in terms of level and gear for the content they are offering. At the end of the season, during the "intermission" all your work isn't wasted, its transferred to the main character. Your work is still valued and will result in a net positive for you and the time you spend on the game either on your main or the side character. 3. "The end game builds I made are now worthless." Your builds will remain on your main character unless deleted and will still be able to be set into the same endgame activities as before, nothing much is changing about this save for a new difficulty that you can play with. 4. Season characters are lame. This is an understandable stance, it is not what I would want but I can understand the use as it puts a lot of people on the same playing field again. Lots of friends want to play the game but don't want to feel left behind or useless while others have highend builds they don't want to give up. This feels like the best of two worlds. Start again but don't loose anything. Too many people are up in their feelings and not actually listening and looking over the situation. The team feels like they don't have a good grasp on the player base and for good reason. For 5 years on shaky ground they have held up a game in which they weren't even 100% sure would continue or be shut down. I get the concern and the feeling of betrayal as it isn't what we wanted but, I will still say to at least give it a shot. If it flops harder than a brick. Go find enjoyment elsewhere but don't give up before you even try.
