This cabinet is called a PARAFLEX which is a form of Compound Horn (but not really a Tapped Horn) . The original developers are myself ("MMJ") , J R Vansickle of Paragon Concept in North Carolina and Dustin Morgan of Flex Tech designs. There is a community of people both Pro Audio and Car Audio building these designs and closely related compound loaded designs (like the Super Planar 8th) ... Barnaby is very skilled and has made this into a completely magnificent build!! I had never heard of B & C until this video, but they really are impressive with 97db sensitivity and 3,400 watts continuous. Very nice build!

I was thinking about getting some 21 inch PA sub woofers for my Hearse I have a ton of room to play with 11 feet in total from back of the seat to the rear door it should be large enough for a horn loaded sub woofer enclosure for 2 21 inch PA speakers one thing that I miss is woofers hitting the higher frequency hard My Kove Armageddons U 15's "same as the Treo Audio SSX sub woofers" are only good from 20 hz to around 70 hz after that it's not so great I like playing mostly Rock, kick drum is not too bad with them.

Compound Horn Tapped Pipes works really well in cars and home theater. I have built a few of them, but never anything close to 218 with B&C 18IPAL.

maybe for my next upgrade try 2 PA subs...current setup has 3 sony 12s that i picked up for real cheap. my truck rattles like a mofo and there only in a sealed box. i need a bigger trunk or some better 12s with a custom ported box. Dam tho like the setup in the vid looks nice and clean.
