The last word Shin means is Rei's dying word he heard through his ability, after Rei became a sheperd, that haunting screaming "Shin". Even if it's a sheperd, Shin can only hear their dying words, nothing more, not their current thoughts or stuff. Shin thought Rei still blames him so he shouted "Shin" even at his last breath, while in reality Rei was calling to his most precious brother at his dying moment.

Actually, that's not quite true. He indeed can hear only the dying words of black sheep since their brains are extremely damaged and those words are all that's left but shepherds minds are intact. They CAN say more than that (like the "I'm sorry" we hear this episode from Rei). Don't forget that Shins explanation is only his own understanding of the matter at that point in time. He is not all knowing

ye maybe it gets better cause i feel like it finished at a good enough point but for me ot didnt emotionally hit as much as luke it seems. idk for me it was more predictable that people made it seem when they told me to watch it.. so should i read the volumes as someone who doesnt read

@@elismart13 I can 100% say the war gets darker and darker after every volume I read, except for 7 because that was a bit light hearted. Tho the funny thing is, I can’t imagine how they would win that thing😂

And here comes our Queen Something you dont notice the first time is that, by sharing senses with Rayden, they saw each other for a second. Shin did die, he stopped breathing and needed CPR. That happened when Rei was enlisted so yeah... the last living interaction between brothers. If episode 9 feels like the ending, just wait to episode 11

The reference to a minefield when they leave is likely a reference to the mortar system itself. The US military has an artillery shell called SADARM, Search-And-Destroy-Armor. The artillery shell deploys submunitions that fall as bomblets with small parachutes. If the bomblet sees a target it launches towards it from mid-air, if not the bomblet becomes an anti-armor mine on the ground. The mortar shells in the show probably become mines if they don't hit a target directly.

I assume the best parts have Sawano tracks behind them so copyright hits at the crescendo. Anyone watching here for the first time you need to see the full shows. I caught this one on stream too. Was a much better experience. Luke this is my favorite anime because of the way the show can illicit emotions. Watching you experience it for the first time is awesome! Like showing your favorite show to a friend. Keep up the streams!

Imagine for the Jews, and also for all the people who were exploited, who were sent to di3. Basically 86 is it. And that's why the anime wasn't successful in Japan, it's a direct criticism of what the Japanese did with China and Korea. this is very sad but should not be forgotten
