It's Been One Week! | Oliver's First Week At Home, Rivian Test Drive, How We're Settling In At Home!

In today’s vlog we show you our first week at home with baby Oliver! We start with a morning full of pancakes, we were feeling pretty good, Oliver started nursing so we were getting pretty regular sleep, which was wonderful! We’re starting to get a regular schedule down, which is also pretty great! Tim and Jackson go to the zoo for a bit, just to get out of the house and we also get to test drive the Rivian SUV. We show you around the car and all of it’s cool features, I think we’re probably going to end up getting the R1S as soon as it becomes available for us to build. Baby Oliver also gets his first real bath since his umbilical cord has fallen off. Then we give you an update on how we’re all feeling and how Oliver is progressing this week too! My dad suddenly passed away 4 years ago, left me depressed as he was my best friend. I started watching you guys just after and I honestly value your vlogs (I live in the UK and I used to go to Florida every year with my family - had a house out near Downtown disney (now disney springs) you really do pick me up and love seeing you pop up - especially with new wee Oliver. YES! Breastfeeding is not easy in the beginning. I gave myself 6 weeks before I gave myself permission to give up. Ohhhhh the pumping and SMS tubes.... It all worked out in the end, but only my first baby was as easy as Oliver. So happy to see your new family of 4❤❤❤❤

Fun fact it takes 2 years for a mums body to get back to normal. I still have pains and mine are 16 and 18. The pancakes 🥞 looked amazing. The lunch made me hungry 😂 and oliver looks so much like Jackson he's soooo cute.

We were so blessed both our babies latched right on especially our daughter called her my velcro attachment lol. You just get your rest Jenn. Having two is a lot of work. Love that you both can be there for your boys. In the old days my husband didn't have that opportunity and i know he would have loved that. Daddy coming home at evening was an exciting time in our house. We miss him so much. 42 years of love and the love hasn't stopped.

I get so happy when I get the home vlog notification and its this long! What a great first week with baby O. I love that Jackson is still getting one on one time to make sure that he still gets those moments of mommy or daddys full attention. Also, that electric vehicle looks amazing! Even with mostly staying home, there was still a lot going on at this time to create some wonderful content 😊 I think it's great that Jackson got to do a few special things that are just for big buddies, not tiny ones. Also, I love that he's understanding letter sounds, not just their names--I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he's not reading before he starts school! A friend of mine is a lactation consultant, and shared an article several years ago about 'laid back nursing', which she said can be more comfortable and intuitive for both mom and baby, so you're not having to fight gravity with a tiny baby who doesn't have much head control. The car really does look cool--looks like it will be a good fit for your newly upsized family 😊

We got the wax monkeys too from the same zoo! My husband's grandparents lived in Fl so he used to get them. Kind of nostalgic! That is great giving Jackson some 1 on 1 time. Tim looks like he just came from a tropical beach at the end of the vlog! I love the rivian. Someone at my daughters school has a white one. They look very nice

If I may say, in my case it was also very hard on my daughter when my son was born, so what we did, was make her or official “helper” and she was in charge of passing the diapers, the ointment, the baby clothes, etc etc. And that made her feel important, included and she loved it. It’s always hard on child #1 not to be the only one. But after a little while they’ll be very good big brother/sister. Congratulations to all of you! The baby is absolutely beautiful!

You should look into Legendairy milk silicon collection cups! The flange is silicon so they’re so comfortable! I exclusively pumped for 8 months. I used the pumpables pump too so that way I could be mobile. Also, make sure you’re using the right size flanges❤️ Oliver is so precious!

When my son was born- my daughter was angry. She shouted at him “ it’s MY MAMA”. She pulled the book out of the bookshelves when I was nursing. I held her when he was sleeping and told her that every time she sees me holding him , that how I held her. That’s mamma’s love. I said that every time I feed him I remember feeding her and I want to hold her and give her loves. I did that and celebrated her after the feeding time with her brother. I engaged her as “big sister and helper because she already knew how his life would be. It turned the whole thing around. I think maybe the first child is wondering what their place is in the family. I assured her, loved her and brought her into the process. They are very close today. Congratulations 🎉👏. So beautiful to see your family together. Wishing you every joy possible.

When my daughter had her twins it became difficult to clean the house, wash dishes and do laundry for 8 so we hired a cleaning lady to come once a month and deep clean the house for us..🙋‍♂️🍪

Same. When I went back to work after my second I hired someone to deep clean because it needed it after a tough pregnancy and having a newborn and now we have a recurring cleaning once a month.

I was a surrogate and after I had the baby I exclusively pumped. Breast milk for 5 months. It was the hardest but yet most rewarding thing I have every done! Anyone that pumps for any amount of time is amazing, it truly is SO MUCH WORK!!!

Tim as a friend get a Tesla Model X over a Riven. The Tesla charging network is superior. I have a Y and the wife has a Kia Soul. Road tripping in the soul is a nightmare compared to Tesla. The Riven uses same network and would have had same issues. I love the tech in the Riven but if you want to road trip stay with a Tesla. If you have rarely supercharged and don’t think you will in the future then go with the Riven.

That's how it was with my two kids. I've always said that my second child was a reward for putting up with the first one😅. I got in to a good rhythm after the second child and really enjoyed having a newborn with a toddler. It was very fulfilling.

So sweet seeing you guys as a family of four. Oliver is the most adorable. Colic is hard but it doesn’t last forever. (Thankfully!) Glad that Oliver is such an easy baby. Jackson is such a great big brother. It’s a lot for him to adjust to.
