Very cool video. I grew up in Norwood Ohio - they had one Ahrens Fox tiller. Us kids used to get a charge out of when they rolled it out of the Main Fire Station because it reminded us of the “crack the whip” ride at Coney Island. It was funny when I think back about it since Norwood never had virtually any high rise fires. We still got a kick out of watching it anyway. The tiller driver always had kind of a wild look in his eyes when he climbed down out of the Cab. Fun stuff.
These sights and sounds are why miss NYC so very much..I love the city, its people, of course its heroes, those who run toward danger when everyone else is running away. and last but not least my proper favourite 'Buff' John Ramos who educate his audience whilst showing what can see beyond the lens. I will be back to NYC as soon as I can get there x
Its funny, I was chatting to a friend of the family today at a get together 'Tom'..hes a long retired UK firefighter, and I realised I knew what he meant with certain fire terms, I was telling him about your videos ( I accidentally discovered you when searching for 'Grenfell' fire fighter videos.) So I passed your name onto youtube and hes loving it! x
