If your suggesting to get into motor controllers, I hope you dive deep into sensored and sensorless control of BLDC motors, use Field Oriented Control or Direct Torque Control, and optimize the space vector modulation by means of 3rd harmonic injection to increase the maximum DC voltage to the motor compared to SPWM. There are a few guides I found online on the subject that were super helpful but alias I am too dumb to do it lol. Oh and I hope you cover synchronous reluctance or switched reluctance motors. Those look very promising for EV's.Switched reluctance is an older design that has higher torque ripple and is more difficult to control minimizing torque ripple. permanently-excited synchronous reluctance motors are looking to be the ideal choice for EV's at the moment, offering high low-end torque with 90 degree advance of the RMF to the rotor, and then the root locus of the I Q plot shifting closer to a 45 degree advance as the rotational speed increases to the point where it runs more like a SynRM motor. Another type of motor that might start gaining attention from EV car manufactures is the axial BLDC. Basically a pancake style where the magnets are the shape of pizza slices and the rotor is 2 disks that surround a pancake stater with the pizza shaped coils and magnetic structure. Still has back EMF issues proportional to RPM just like regular BLDC design, but offers much better power to weight ratio since the magnetic flux paths are very short and very dense. It's also possible to control an induction motor with Field Oriented Control, so you could make a smarter Variable Frequency Drive (fancy name for an induction motor controller or ESC) If you can manage to make a motor controller for that type of motor and get it working with a Tesla motor I'm buying you a 6 pack of beer! 🍻

I'm totally stoked for this! I hope you get into BLDC control...everything I've found is either over my head, to high level and lacking details or super application specific.

Uhmm. Motor, eh. It would be much relatable to much more people than circuit board. Not new. It is dumbing down. 😂 Not in a negative sense. Circuit board is sophisticated. I thought your channel is geared towards advanced people which I have difficulty relating to. I know electronics, and I understand enough of it in most circuits, but yours is/are beyond my entry level. I cannot understand half of what you share. However, I am following you because you are stupid awesome. Your speech is very clear and you look.... "adorable" for lack of better word to describe what I see. 😂
