The problem with the mathmetition and why he attacks units on his team and not the enemy is because in the unit creator, there is a setting where you can change what your custom unit attacks. The setting on that unit is set to the enemy units are friends and their friends are enemies

It seems like when a mathematician hits a unit a couple times in the same spot, that part just combusts.
