Man I can't wait. Taxes sucked this year and now I'm saving again. Thanks for sharing, 2 door builds are hard to find these days.. I'm looking forward to that grin on my face!
Congratulations you've won me over!!! I'm now a subscriber and one of your loyal followers on board at RU-vid. The way to keep our relationship intact is simple: Just remain authentic; and of course, contextually continue to providing videos with function over flare.
Your Jeep is awesome. I also just bought my first Jeep in August. I went 2 door soft top and so happy I did. The community is great. I drove 450 miles to complete the Jeep Adventure Academy in Uwharrie National Forest. Worth the drive for the fun and to see more of our great country.
Nice to see a two door!! Fyi I did my lift in my garage at the house and took me a day pretty much by myself on my gladiator, it's not too bad. Same kit too.
It was actually part of my purchase of the Jeep. So the factory paid for it. Chuck and I have become good friends since. Last lift I did was on a cj7, it’s been a while. Was into the sports car world for a long time. That’s awesome you knocked it out though.
I have the same lift but on stock rubi tires. I was wanting those DT-1 dirty life wheels and then I found out the weigh almost 45 lbs each!! Looks good with the color combo and the +2!
I got my 21 sarge green 2door rubi with a hard top, steel bumpers and the v6 and a manual transmission. Ordered it in November 20. Just had the first inspection Dec 15. You inspired me to look more into a lift, tires and wheels. It's been sitting alot. Only 5k miles and all stock with some bolt ons.. yours looks tall, almost to tall. Like if you hit the brakes hard enough you can do a front flip lol. Looking forward to your videos. I can send you a picture. You can see my upgrades.
@@therubiconian392 been hectic here with the cold weather moving in. I do residential hvac. I'm not very good at sending messages. I'll figure it out.. one day
I love seeing that blue 2 door! I own a 2018 same blue rubicon 2 door. Trying to decide 2.5 or 3.5 lift and if i want to run 37s. Great looking set up and love the gold wheels!
That’s gonna depend on what lift you go with. There’s a few channels that have done brand comparisons. But each lift actually has an advertised hight and what they truly measure out to. Make sure to plan ahead for any added weight later on like a winch or spare tire
Absolutely love the jeep! We just picked up a two door sarge green as well! The wheels, are they the 17x9 with -12 offset? I saw you can get a -38 offset as well 😬. Looking for the same exact stance/wheels!
Tomorrow I trade in my 3.6 liter 2020 JLUR, with a 2” Rancho lift on 35’s for a 2022 JLR. Making the move from a 4 to 2 door. It’s also the 2.0 Turbo. I am really excited to see where my build goes. You have a great start on yours. I am really considering the Mopar lift in the future. Would you recommend it? I know Rancho will have their 2” lift for the 2022’s available soon. I really liked it on the JLUR. I really am considering the Mopar this time around. I am happy I found your channel! Keep up the great work and thank you for your service.
Just found your RU-vid channel. 1# question, how is 2.0 liter working for you. Only way to get the 3.6 liter was with a manual transmission. eTorque is only available with 8-speed automatic. Absolutely great looking 2-door!
I was a little hesitant about it at first but it actually has a lot of low and midrange torque. I’m gonna do some acceleration and performance videos soon to show the 2.0 performance. The 8-speed is working well so far
Looks great! Thanks for posting. Where did you get the lift installed? Planning to lift my 2 door Rubicon too and I want to take it somewhere competent. Thanks!
I assume that’s a MOPAR 2” lift kit? I have a Willys JLU in Sarge Green that I’m looking to do the 2”and go 35” on stock rims. Love the look of yours, kinda what I’m after.
Great video! Just found your channel and subscribed. I’m leaning toward the exact lift and tire choice on my 2023 2 door Rubicon. How would you compare the ride quality on the street to stock?
It was comfortable but a bit unstable at higher speeds. Definitely the Jeep experience, I would however get a stiffer setup in the future. The true benefit is the factory warranty. AEV 2.5 Dual Sport is also a good option with the Bilstien Shocks
Which MOPAR part # did you use? Looks like you got a 4 door lift as far as actual lift. MOPAR 2 DOOR Lift # 77072396AE. Rear springs part # LR 68414070AA RR 68414072AA Curious Thanks!! Jeep looks perfect btw. Im doing a 21 JLR yella 1/2 door now.
@@Daywalker78 That's what I'm leaning towards I'm just a little concerned cause I probably won't be able to do a regear for a while but yes 2 door JL Rubicon with the 3.6.
@@jbanime6 I own a JLUR and even going up and down hills and light to light traffic the worst I see is 18MPG. If mostly freeway I'll average over 20 and I'm heavier than you. Some people say they never see 8th but I never had that issue. Your tire choice will greatly affect that, as some tires are way heavier with the same dimensions. Nittos and Toyos for example, those weigh a TON. I'd suggest Milestars, Coopers, or BFGs, all around 75lbs in 37x12.5r17 👍🏿.
@@Daywalker78 I’ve definitely noticed that about the different tire weights and would probably lean towards ko2s for that reason. I’m not worried about gas mileage so much but more worried about the power loss causing issues off-road. Then I watch old videos of Eddie from Wayalife and all the trails he did before regearing and it makes me think it won’t be an issue at all...lol
That’s the mopar lift on 37s? I have a 2 door rubicon on order and I was having trouble making up my mind between 35-37s. This video fixed that. 35s would look small. Great looking Jeep. What are the specs on the wheels?
Not on mine. You may want to check and make sure the springs are in the correct locations. LF RF RR LR... that’s the only reason I could think of it being off like that. Chuck may chime in with a better answer.
@@therubiconian392 Thanks for the response! There is a blue dot on the rear spring but i believe it is a shorter spring. I believe the taller springs should go to the passenger side and the shorter springs to the drivers side?
@@garrettjeter6750 from Chuck: From the factory the JLs seem to have a lean to the passenger side. With a lift the springs are left and right/ front and rear. Meaning all are corner specific. (Side note) A AEV lift comes with a small spacer to put on the passenger side to correct
You’ve definitely come a long way since the Yaris brother. How’s the ride and power difference with the 37’s? I’m curious how the auto is compared to how my 6 spd was with only 35’s.
Had to watch the first video again to see you motor choice! How is it? That turbo will really help spin those 37’s. Plus it leaves room for easy power adders.
What is the name of the dealership or shop that you got your lift at? Because I did a 3 inch lift on my two door and it doesn’t look as tall so I’m a little confused
Yeah 8th is pretty non existent now but if you’re real smooth like in my Gas Milage Video, you can hit 8th but you’re gonna need to be on flat ground or downhill.
