Frostbite does nothing other than background graphics such as weather and lighting. And live18 lightening is beautiful. And if u compare these graphics to live 16 u can tell that they didn't use the ignite engine to its full potential but this year they did.
2k18 clearly has better player models. The textures seem higher resolution, the sweat looks better, facial animations are more believable, and Lives models look a tad too shiny, almost plastic. That being said, the jerseys in Live look absolutely incredible! The textures and shaders are on point and I haven't seen any video, but judging by the screens the cloth physics on the uniforms look hella nice. Bottom line, 2K18 is better overall, but both are very good. Put 2K's character models in Live's jerseys and you've got a new G.O.A.T.
Y'all trippin, NBA Live focuses on more grittier details, whereas 2K just gets the job done, 2K graphics make you feel like you're playing a video game, NBA Live makes you feel like you're playing with the real person. Just my opinion
I have to admit playing the NBA live demo the game has improved a lot compared to live 16 and I give them props for that, but 2k is just way ahead and better. But I will probably cop both games.
The one thing I really like about Live is that for career mode you start at a 70 and is pretty easy to get to a 90 so when u play online there isn't a huge gap in which player is better, but instead 2k has us starting off at a 55 , which takes way longer to upgrade to a 90, and most of the time ppl buy vc to be good at the game
K Breezy KAT is better than kyrie! Just because he's the cover athlete doesn't mean they're suppose to boost his rating! KAT averaged 25 and 12 last season!
KAT is one of the few centers with a competitive rating, shouldn't be compared to a point guard. Compare Kyrie's rating to other point guards and it's fair. He's easily 5 points weaker than Curry.

I mean these days my career feels like a job! The one just feels fun with no cheesy storyline and no damn interviews. Right now I would say that 2K has the edge, but I think that LIVE is taking the right direction.

Live is progressing but I have to give it to 2k. BUT I'm willing to be open minded and try both games. The demo is fun, and I think most people are surprised. I'm proud of live putting in effort. They will keep getting better for sure. 2k needs competition though, too much complacency as of late.

As a PC player I'm very picky as far as graphics NBA live is way better graphics wise. Look at the actual details on the face. 2ks players look like they have a beautification filter on.

Old heads grew up on NBA Live. I hated 2K when that was the only option left for like a 3-4yr span. Live was the shit back in the day... 2k did some tricky shit and took over the NBA basketball world way back on some paperwork type shit. Niggas like bought the rights or some shit for like 3-4yrs to guarantee their take over. Leaving no room for comparison or competition making everyone bias in the end. Well the young pups at least. That's why all some kids fuck with is 2k because they came up in a hand over fist tricky era for 2k. Live had the Crown hands down for a min. Once the trickiness happened y'all kids had no choice. This year I'm switching to live for sure... The demo really caught me off guard.. I think live is bringing something new to the NBA game scene and really seems more fun than 2k... I never really paid any attention to NBA live, but this year for me it seems like the obvious pick. (And I'm tired of 2ks bullshit honestly)
Ok, so... I played the Live demo tonite and it's just straight shit. However... Can we all at least agree on one thing that Live has done better? The ball. The basketball itself in Live has such great details, much more so than 2k's. But that's it. Nothing else about Live 18 in the demo I played is better than even 2k17, so if anyone truly believes that Live is gonna be better than 2k18... Just no.

Devonte Foster Archetype system is terrible, the idea was ok but youre way too one dimensional so everyone has similiar play styles, and its already been proven that our my career players are really like a good 5 points less in OVR than they say. You put a "90"s attributes on a non mycareer player and it turns out to be about an 84-86
Heres the thing.. Live uses a lot of effect to make their players look pretty (light effect, sweat, freckles etc). 2K paid more attention to the actual player details by looking at each and every players signature facial expressions (when their mad, surprise, calm and collected, etc), and animating the face to emote those facial expressions so they come alive and look authentic. That is the main difference between these 2 games when it comes to player aesthetics.
