I'm glad I'm not the only one who discovered Mendelssohn-the-painter before I discovered Mendelssohn-the-composer. The composition of his paintings is just as intriguing as the color in his music. ... O.o

Mr Pearlman, you are very funny! We just finished a concert series playing "Lobgesang", and the only thing I will fault Mendelssohn (from the point of view of a 2nd violinist) for is...he just uses too many notes! lol
