You know technically, it would be funny if somebody threw in as a way to screw you guys up a quote from either Hermione or Fluer after they married into the family and became weasley's
My favorite Weasley quote is, "From now on, I don't care if my tea leaves spell 'DIE, RON, DIE!' I'm chucking them in the bin where they belong!" I remember laughing so hard the first time I read that! 😂
The mean quote towards Cedric is actually in Prisoner of Azkaban. When Wood talks about Cedric being the Hufflepuff seeker, some girls talk about how silent and calm and good looking he is and Fred responds as the quote states.
At 7:00, it's correct that Charlie is always in Romania and Bill in England, but England lost that match to Transylvania, a region IN Romania, so it's entirely plausible that Charlie was able to go to the match. Never realised it until just now
Totally waited for the quizmaster question: "We'll ber thirty-seven Galleons, fifteen Sickles, three Knuts, that Ireland wins but Viktor Krum gets the Snitch."
Fred and George knew who Dobby was. They were the first people, along with Ron, that Harry told about Dobby in the second book on the way to the Burrough in the flying Ford Anglia. They even pointed out to Harry that it seemed like Dobby had been sent to try to stop him from going back to Hogwarts as a mean spirited prank, because house elves don't usually leave their house without permission. Which started the conversation that introduced Lucius Malfoy as an actual character. I literally just re-read the second book yesterday. And I think they may have met Dobby in the fifth book. At the very least, they saw him when he ran into the Room of Requirement to warn Harry that Umbridge was coming. But that was after Percy and Arthur had their falling out, so I don't think either of them would have been making any light hearted comments about Percy like that. Also, I don't think Dobby was wearing a tea cozy any more.
10:07 “Poisonous toadstools don't change their spots” is a wizarding phrase meaning “people can't change who they really are inside.” Ron quotes this sage advice when Hermione says she thought that maybe Snape would be less mean to Harry in their fifth year since the Potions Master was in the Order (OP13).
I always thought that Bonnie Wright definitely pulled off the sparse moments where book Ginny was given an opportunity to shine in the films. The force with which she yells “SHUT IT!” immediately comes to mind 😂
"We did it, we bashed them, wee Potter’s the one, And Voldy’s gone moldy, so now let’s have fun!" "Really gives a feeling for the scope and tragedy of the thing, doesn’t it?" said Ron, pushing open a door to let Harry and Hermione through.
"Don't be fooled by the lines that they took, I'm still, I'm still Ginny from the books. I'm a freaking badass, come on, take a look, no matter how they change me, I'm still amazing." Nah, that fell off at the end. 9/15 for me.
J vs B is just the most comforting thing ever. I do listen to HP books often because it helps my anxiety and when I finish the series yet again this channel is the second best thing
Honestly, that thing about growing up with Fred and George really limits the amount of weasley's it could be because it can't be their parents can't be Aunt Muriel. It has to be one of the siblings but is it somebody older than the twins or somebody younger than the twins?
@@Mary_Studios yeah he's literally the only Weasley I don't like cuz he just seem to be so embarrassed by his family and the way he decided with the government against them until one of his brothers died
They talked about it again! Can someone please remind them that they said they would do a full duck-in-a-cup montage video if they got every question right on a quiz!?
J really REALLY hates missing questions and hates when he’s losing even more. He tries to hide it but it obviously bothers him and he gets super quiet when he knows he’s not gonna win. I have watched a bunch of these lately and it’s hilarious to watch.
(Verse 1) Don't be fooled by the spells that she's got She's still, she's still Ginny from the books Used to have a little, now she's a lot In the films, oh, they misunderstood No matter where she goes, she knows where she came from (The Burrow, with the Weasley flock) She used to be the shyest of the kin With six brothers, that's no easy win Writin' letters to the boy under the stairs Who'd have thought they'd end up a lovely pair Gryffindor's sword and Thestrals, she's seen The girl in the books was fiery and keen She had magic, strength, and a lot more to say But in the movies, they took that away (Chorus) Don't be fooled by the spells that she's got She's still, she's still Ginny from the books Used to have a little, now she's a lot In the films, oh, they misunderstood No matter where she goes, she knows where she came from (The Burrow, with the Weasley flock) (Verse 2) Bat-Bogey Hexes flyin' all around Quidditch star, she was Hogwarts-bound In the Chamber of Secrets, she fought for her life And later on, she became Harry’s wife A strong witch, with dreams and hopes But on the screen, they left out all the notes The fierce fighter, the heart and the charm In the movies, she's the girl on Harry’s arm (Chorus) Don't be fooled by the spells that she's got She's still, she's still Ginny from the books Used to have a little, now she's a lot In the films, oh, they misunderstood No matter where she goes, she knows where she came from (The Burrow, with the Weasley flock) (Bridge) Ginny Weasley, don’t forget her name In the books, she was never tame To all the fans who know what’s real Ginny’s courage, her heart of steel (Chorus) Don't be fooled by the spells that she's got She's still, she's still Ginny from the books Used to have a little, now she's a lot In the films, oh, they misunderstood No matter where she goes, she knows where she came from (The Burrow, with the Weasley flock) (Outro) Ginny, Ginny from the books, Oh, she’s more than what the movies took, With her wand, and her fierce heart’s hooks, That's the true Ginny from the books. Now sing it. And make it on rhythm (the lyrics decidedly are not on beat)
Wait, wasn't Muriel only Molly's aunt though? That would mean she's a Prewett, not a Weasley. I get her being included as a distant relative (and her lines are just too funny not to), but she's not actually a member of the Weasley family.
The prefect one is so sweet! I'm pretty sure it's at the battle of Hogwarts, when Percy finally shows up, and it's the twins forgiving him and it's really nice.
I'm trying to play along with Ben and J. And for the fifth quote, I was staring at the ceiling so I couldn't see what they were writing. I kept repeating, "Bill. No, Charlie. No, Bill. No, Charlie. Bill?" And I finally decided on Bill, and then I looked down, and both brothers had written Bill. So I was like, "Yes!" And then Ben changed his answer and I was like, "No!" And then I was wrong!! 😭
I can’t quote it word for word but one of my all time favorite Harry Potter quotes not just Weasley quotes is in Deathly Hallows when Molly is worried about Ginny and is telling her not to fight in the battle because she’s only a child. Then Fred basically just goes off and talks about how the kids and teenagers are the only ones being productive and succeeding with fighting Voldemort and the Death Eaters while the Ministry of Magic and most of the other adults have failed in that area. It’s one of the last times we ever hear from Fred and I get chills and start like trying not to cry when I read it. It’s such a powerful, awesome quote that has a lot of Weasley Twin sass and charm in it! It gets me so pumped up!
You guys are gonna need to review Elemental soon (for the record, I really liked it), but good luck fitting it into the Pixar Theory. All I can think of is the time period where humans evolved into monsters.
Ah, one of those quizzes that is next to IMPOSSIBLE if you haven't read the books in English. I still think it'd be fun if you guys collected things from the different official Harry Potter translations and tried to guess the correct original character/spell/place.
Don't be fooled by the laces I hook I'm still, I'm still Ginny from the book Used to be the coolest Now I'm just a tool No matter where I'm seen, I know where I came from...
9:48 That quote is either from Order of the Phoenix or Philosopher's Stone. The quote is Rons reply to Hermione as she said "that Snape was on their side, there was no proof he's evil"
the toadstool quote comes from the fifth book when Hermione says, she thought that maybe Snape would be less mean to Harry in their fifth year because he was in the order, and Ron answers with, “poisonous toadstools don’t change their spots”
I refer everyone to a Weasley quote from Order of the Phoenix: "Mum told us not to spread it around. She figured you got enough attention." That alone tells me that anything Ron knows, besides Dumbledore's job for them in the Deathly Hallows, he fills the family in on.
About Fred and George, Fred is always the one initialising the sentence and George the one finishing it. I believe that's why Fred has more quotes than George in this quiz.
I thought the twins knew about Dobby not his name for say but at least knew about him through chamber of secrets when he was telling a story about an house outfit is aunt and uncle's house. Saying how you have to be a rich person to have a house elf kind of thing.
I've come up with a What If that I think would be very interesting. "What If Harry Potter Was A Squib" I really want to see how you flesh out the story. Would Dumbledore know when he was a baby? Would he tell the Dursleys? Would the Dursleys treat Harry better knowing he wasn't magical? Would Dumbledore still bring Harry to Hogwarts to learn about Magic and teach him to defend himself? Would Harry still have some of Voldemort's powers such as parseltongue? Would Harry still get a wand and would his original wand choose him?(Even though he wouldn't be able to use it). Would it be public knowledge that "The Boy Who Lived" was a squib? Would Harry still be put in Gryffindor? Would Filch be kinder to Harry cause they're both squibs? Would Harry have more Astronomy, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination(Maybe?) or Study of Ancient Runes classes instead of classes that involve using magic. Would Harry be taught how to fight without magic like with a sword, using potions or having pet magical creatures? Would Harry still go into the chamber of secrets and save Ginny? Would Harry still runaway from home and call the knight bus or meet Sirius? Would Harry still need to save Sirius from the Dementors? Would Harry still be enter into the tri wizard tournament? Would Voldemort still take Harry's blood and return? Would Harry be able to save himself and Dudley from the dementors? Would Harry still be allowed at Hogwarts when Umbridge becomes Headmistress? Would Dumbledore get Slughorn's memory? Would anything in The Deathly Hallows be the same?
Delightful as always! My 7 year old just started reading the first HP book. He's a bit of a struggling reader but he is so motivated to read the book! Truely great
I got 12/15. 2 of the ones I failed was either Fred or George, and I picked the wrong twin, those are hard to remember who's who. Most of them was pretty easy if you can just remember the context.
11:26 No. That quote is from Prisoner after Oliver Wood tells the team who the new Hufflepuff seeker and captain was and the girls giggle and he asks: "What?" "He's that all good looking one isn't he? Tall and silent."
Cedric question it is actually prisoner of Azkaban right before the quidditch match wood gives the news that they will play Hufflepuff and the girls are all like 'oh hes strong and silent'
I think I have a good idea for a J vs Ben. It will be Book vs Movie. Every question will have the same prompt, which is “Is this scene the same or different in between the books and movies, and if they’re different, what are the differences”. Each question would just name a scene.
21:20 U know that made me realize something. How small is the wizarding population? Cause if the boy domorties have 1 room per year and each room has five boys in it (do people fight for who gets the single?) then that would mean there's only 35 boys at Howgarts in one house or 140 male students in total. Like considering in our timeline there was a massive baby boom after a war u think the wizarding world would've done the same after their first one.
J was headed in the right direction. Ron was talking about Snape after finding out he was in the order. Hermione said she thought he might be kinder to Harry because of that. Chapter 13
The Cedric one actually isn’t about the goblet of fire. It’s in prisoner of Azkaban when the quidditch team finds out they are playing hufflepuff instead of slytherin, Oliver wood says Cedric is their seeker, the three chasers start talking about how handsome he is and how he is strong and silent and then Fred says that line.
Somewhere there has to be a version of this quiz that is nothing but Fred and George quotes but it's labeled as the whole Weasley family to prank the person taking the quiz.
I find it really funny how normal/English (most of) the Weasleys' first names are for being a pureblood wizarding family. Molly, Arthur, William, Charles, Percival, Frederick, George, Ronald. Then there's Ginevra.
My favourite Weasley quote would have to be Molly yelling at Bellatrix before duelling her.: "Not MY daughter you ......!!!!!" The holy ear joke is a close second.
I always assumed Auntie Muriel was from Molly's side of the family because of her "You Weasleys breed like gnomes" comment. Maybe she married into the Weasleys then?
Someone needs to comb through all the SCB videos and make a quotes quiz for them to do. It would be quite interesting to see how many of them they could actually remember who first said the various funny lines.
(Verse 1) Don't be deceived by what the movies portray, I'm Ginney from the books, that's how I'll stay. In the written words, my true essence shines, A character enriched in magical lines. I blossomed in pages, vibrant and strong, A Gryffindor spirit that could never be wrong. But on the screen, some scenes fell astray, Fans craved the Ginney that they loved and say. (Chorus) I won't let the silver screen's illusion bind, I'm Ginney from the books, an enchanting find. In written tales, my fire fiercely burns, A character cherished, as readers discern. (Verse 2) Through ink and pages, I came alive, Facing challenges with the will to thrive. But in the movies, some moments missed, The depth and magic fans reminisced. A certain kiss that lacked its spark, An absence of scenes left a mark. And the shoelace moment fans deplore, A deviation that left them wanting more. But amidst those flaws, I'm still the same, Ginney from the books, where I'll remain. (Bridge) Within the pages, my journey unfolds, A character with depths yet untold. Fans adore the moments we shared, The Bat Bogey Hex and how I cared. So let's celebrate the girl within the prose, The magic and strength that forever flows. Embrace the chapters where truth prevails, I'm still Ginney from the books, my tale never fails. (Chorus) I won't let the silver screen's illusion bind, I'm Ginney from the books, an enchanting find. In written tales, my fire fiercely burns, A character cherished, as readers discern. (Outro) I'm still Ginney from the books, hear my plea, Embrace the magic that sets me free. The pages hold the truth, my vibrant soul, I'm still Ginney from the books, forever whole. With love and flaws, I'll always be, The Ginney fans know and want to see. And though the movies may have missed the mark, My character's essence still ignites the dark. So come, delve into my world and find, The Ginney from the books, one of a kind.
"Poisonous toadstools don't change their spots" is Ron's response to Hermione saying, in OotP, that she thought Snape being in the Order would translate to him being less harsh as a teacher
And no one quotes Hermione from Cursed Child. She would be a Weasley. I know Jay and Ben don't like the Cursed Child but it would of been a curve ball.
the poisonous toadstools quote is about Snape, actually. Ron said it when Hermione was postulating that because he was in the Order, he would be a bit kinder to Harry and them....
The way I remembered the “Dobby’s Tea Cozy” quote was because in my memory, I heard Jim Dale’s voice saying it with a mouth full of food. And I was like, who would be most likely eating and talking at the same time? Definitely Ron😂😂😂
7:26 this quote advice from Ron when Hermione says she thought that maybe Snape would be less mean to Harry in their 5th year because he was in the Order.
