@@CodaBlairLucarioEmperor I don't read a lot of the RU-vid comments, but I'm sure objectification is a common trend amongst RU-vid comments with most channels. If my comment came across that way, I apologize. On some level, it feels nice to have a compliment. I normally try to contextualize compliments I give to something that people control (such as clothing or hair style or a tattoo, or a fandom they are representing) and not on someone's body. I made a more generic comment that she always looks great, because I think she is a classically beautiful woman. I would hope that that type of compliment isn't offensive or objectifying. If Jane is asking about what to do with her hair, my input is merely to say I'm sure she would look great either way, not to say she doesn't have worth as a person outside of her appearance.

from what I could tell, it was; the moon rotates around the earth every ~28 days, but also spins every ~28 days, which is why the same side of the moon is always facing the planet! it's an odd coincidence, but true!

@@christopherneedham1750 That's exactly what tidal locking is. If the side is locked to Earth but it orbits it then by definition it rotates once per rotation.

No overarching development in "First Contact". It retread upon Picard's trauma with the Borg and that's it. The premise of the whole mission was to _prevent_ a change to the course of history-- which is literally a static plot conflict.

@@BogeyTheBear It also gave a lot of details about Trek history and introduced a lot of concepts that were important in Enterprise (including ending up with some Borg on Earth they eventually had to deal with).

And this is the part where you get burned for heresy. :p It certainly had a lot of good points, but a lot of lol-wut points too. The Shakespeare thing was the biggest one. Of the TOS movies Wrath of Khan is probably the best at almost everything. Which Star Trek movie did I personally enjoy most? Nemesis. :D OH yes, THAT movie. :D

@@marhawkman303 Hun I always mistrust anyone who votes for Wrath of Khan as the best Star Trek movie, it feels like Politician who says his favourite band just happens to be the one with the highest downloads right now. It’s the defualt one that got remade twice (Nemesis and Into Darkness both remakes IMHO as while Nemesis is not with same cast its still a lone bad guy with a reason to hate the good guy taking a ship and the two duking it out ship on ship with the popular one that started off emotionless dying to save the crew but leaving a back up of himself). To me 6 is the best film as it is Star Trek in its purist form. SciFi can explore how we might be, or it can just be fantasy stories with ships dragons or it can be used to say something political but in a safe way by making the races human and Klingon not US and USSR. That was always Star Trek and Klingons where always the Russians and VI explores how America is lost with out the old enemy to hate just as deeply as the old enemy is lost without being that a feared enemy better to be an enemy and fears than a charity case. It’s as relive the today as it was then as a story about the ending of a Cold War and how some will always fear peace more than war.

@ Oh, That's why I put in the caveat that my favorite Star Trek overall was actually Nemesis. The conflict isn't JUST personal, it's also political since it involves a power struggle within the Romulan Star Empire. It looks into the ethics of interfering in disputes over coups.
