You should have enough of these by now to power the entire block should the power go out 😆

good video. i was lucky enough to get the jackery 2000 before they sold out. i love it, no power brick. ac charging at 1000 watts a hour. up to 800 watts using my four 200 watt solar panels. hopefully they will bring it back soon.

500 cycles could be just two years if i'm using this in the garage to powerr my mini fridge, fan (summer), ac (winter)

I agree that they should have put in more USB ports on the front.

At least there is more on the solar panel itself.

You can buy a usb splitter that plugs into one port and has multiple usb ports at the other end. Very useful for laptops etc also.

Worse customer support I’ve ever received. Panels failed and after having me make a video to show/prove they weren’t working they shipped them to the wrong address across the country. They stated they corrected the address with FedEx but instead of having them shipped to me they had them returned to Jackery. You can’t reach and talk to a live person. All contact is through text and email at odd hours. Most responses were via email at 1-2am. I’m living and traveling full time depending on a system I can’t keep charged and a month later I’m still waiting for jackery to honor their warranty and send me panels to replace the failed ones. Buy if you want but don’t depend on the product or the company’s support of the product or customer.

Yep. the Jackery 1500 is a bit on the expensive side. If it was a bit cheaper, I would've got one in a heartbeat.

If I remember correctly you ran the same test on Jackery 1000 for 93 hours. For 50% more Wh capacity running time is 128 hours, so only 37% more. This leads me to believe the DC overhead is somewhat bigger on the 1500Wh station, thus some of the capacity is lost to self-consumption. I would love to see the same test ran on the Jackery 2000 Pro. I am curious because I had a huge surprise connecting a fully loaded Bluetti AC200 MAX to a Dometic CFX 35 and after 19 hours SOC was 75%!!! After 27 hours it was at a shockingly 60%. Parsing the Bluetti forum I discovered that the DC overhead was 11W continuous!!!

Will Prowse tested the Jackery 2000 and he said the 2 charge inputs didn't both work at the same time Any thoughts?

I haven't tested the 2000 but I can confirm they both work great on the 1500.

My interest is very narrow - looking for something to power a ~55 quart 12v fridge for a week, staying put a couple days at a time, then 2 - 4 hrs driving, 90 degree days and 70 degree nights. At some point, battery capacity will negate the need for solar panels, another expense. Plus who wants to haul that around. Is the Jackery 1500 the one or does 1500 watt hours still fall short for fridge use beyond a long weekend?

If you don't need a larger inverter (> 1,000 watts), check out the Bluetti EB240 with 2,400 Wh (watt hours) of battery capacity. It is an older model, and doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it is currently available on Amazon for only $1,200 (with coupon). That's only 50 cents / watt hour; whereas the Explorer 1500 is $1.04 / Wh. Keep in mind it does weigh a hefty 48 lbs., versus 35 lbs. for the Explorer 1500. Let's say that your 12V fridge draws power at a rate of 45 watts while actively running. Since fridges tend to only run about 1/3 of the time, that would give you a average rate of only 15 watts over time. See below for hypothetical run-time comparison based on an average rate of 15 watts. Jackery Explorer 1500 ---- (1,535 Wh * .90 efficiency) / 15 watt device = 92.1 hours (3.8 days) of effective run-time. MaxOak Bluetti EB240 ---- (2,400 Wh * .90 efficiency) / 15 watt device = 144 hours (6.0 days) of effective run-time. P.S. Your actual run-time may vary depending on your 12V cooler's exact wattage, ambient air temp, and internal temp setting. Keeping a heavy blanket over your 12V fridge will increase run-time. Hope this helps. :)

Will this power a standard fridge in case of power outage? What does the voltage read when ready without a load? thank you.
@kenp.7304
@kenp.7304 2 года назад
Yes. I have used my Explorer 1000 to power my 10 year old, 20 cubic foot fridge for 16 hours straight. I believe the Explorer 1500 should be able to power a similar full size fridge for about 24 hours straight on a single charge. The voltage for all the Explorer units is 110V / 60 hertz. Max continuous output for the Explorer 1500 is 1,800 watts (16.4 amps @ 110V AC), PURE sine wave.

What about pairing them together with other Jackery power stations? Is there a way to make the bank bigger by pairing them together?

Let me preface by saying great content as always. Ok Mr powerstation man. Lol. I currently have a PLB 40 which is fine but no AC inverter. Want all in 1 solution. Question. I have narrowed my choices between Jackery 1500, 2000 or new Ecoflow delta max. Have an AEV Jl overland rig but slightly hesitant on the size. You think these are physically too large? 49 lbs a beast. Remember us overlanders with Jeeps need items to be dual use. I could use it for home outages which are often in Michigan. Ecoflow River doesn't do much for me. Jackery 1500 or 2000? Hard to beat 0 to 80% on ecoflows. Your opinion is valued and appreciated. Thanks in advance.
@OzarkOverlandAdventures
@OzarkOverlandAdventures 2 года назад
I have no experience with the Delta Max but have heard great things about it. I recently reviewed the Delta Mini and that's my new go to powerstation. I love it. I would imagine the Delta Max is very much the same just larger. I'd go with the Ecoflow.

Not sure if everyone is aware. Yes the Jackery unit is short on USB plug-ins. But did you know the solar panels have USB plugs. I have 4 solar panels, and I have a crap load of USB plug-ins!!! No shortage of charging options for my system. Unfortunately this might be a recent upgrade.

So, Jackery or Bluetti?
@OzarkOverlandAdventures
@OzarkOverlandAdventures 2 года назад
Honestly it depends on the size you need. in the 500wh range, Bluetti because Jackery's 500 is ancient. In the 1500wh range, Jackery because Bluetti's EB150 is ancient.

$1,500 is a lot for something that only has 500 lifecycles. I just traded a Jackery 500 to a guy along with a 100w panel for a Dometic cfx3 25 with the cover. I feel dirty.

Hey I got a question. I just recived my jackery 1500 when I opened the box the jackery was on and led light was on right out of the box and it had 1% battery. I had it charged to 100% and I noticed in 5 hours I loose 2% without using it. Is this normal?
@OzarkOverlandAdventures
@OzarkOverlandAdventures 2 года назад
