Dieser Auftritt entstand im Rahmen einer digitalen Zusammenarbeit mit dem Reeperbahn Festival 2020.
Vom 16.-19. September 2020 findet das Reeperbahn Festival in einer pandemiegerechten Ausführung in Hamburg, sowie erstmals hier im umfassenden Livestream statt.
Seit dem Debüt im Jahr 2006 hat sich das Reeperbahn Festival zu einem der wichtigsten Treffpunkte für die Musikwelt entwickelt und zeigt, wie sich ein überbordendes musikalisches Line-Up mit musikwirtschaftlichen Interessen und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement verbinden lässt.
Neben Konzerten umfasst das Programm auch Formate aus der Bildenden Kunst oder Virtual Reality sowie ein thematisch vielfältiges Film- und Literaturangebot. Die Rubrik Discourse bietet außerdem die Möglichkeit, an gesellschaftlichen sowie kulturellen Debatten teilzunehmen oder sich über den Einstieg in die Musikwirtschaft zu informieren. Im Rahmen von Sessions, Showcases, Networking Events und Award-Shows können Fachbesucher*innen des Reeperbahn Festivals Musik neu denken, erleben und: hören.
Unsere Festivals finden im Zeichen des Miteinanders statt- Rassismus, Sexismus, Homophobie und Ausgrenzung finden bei uns keinen Platz.

In America, we give "Grammies" to people who sell a lot of records. Personally, I think JAPAN has a better way of honoring people like Jackson Browne. They are officially designated "National Living Treasures." Still making us weep with the elegant beauty and meaning of his words and music. What I wouldn't give to shake his hand and say "thank you."

Alexander Reis I saw him in Richmond Virginia. A gentleman in the crowd had a medical emergency and immediately excused himself with minimal fanfare. Jackson stopped and showed concern and wished him well as he left....

One of the greatest artists of my lifetime. Jackson Browne is one of the artists I have been privileged to see live and one of the few songwriters who touches my heart so eloquently. I can’t claim to know him but from my remote experience he seems a truly genuine human being with whom I have a great resonance.

My God! It's like I am back in '73 at Lizner Auditorium at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Jackson Browne is singing the magical Our Lady of the Well backed by the amazing play-every-string-instrument-virtuoso David Lindley, and I am mesmerized. This new song sounds like that concert, only more intimate. His voice is better than ever, his writing is spot on, and his piano playing is heartfelt. And, he is accompanied by another tasteful, hugely talented guitarist. Thank you, Jackson, for all these years of amazing music. May you shine for years and years to come!

This is Jackson Browne's translation of a Carlos Varela song, "Muros y Puertos." This is not to take away from JB, he did a great job of translating with without losing the poetry and power of the original. I love both versions. Bien hecho, Jackson.

What an amazing singer/songwriter. His music evokes feelings within our soul that we either didnt know we had or feelings that we had lost. His songs have been with me for 50 years. Love this version. If there’s a silver lining in the pandemic 😷 it’s that JB has rested his voice and it shows in this song 🎵. Also, really like the Spanish tinged guitar in this version. Great piano sound and the acoustics are amazing in the room.

The reason he has been my all time favorite, the day I heard him singing Take it Easy which so easily blended with Our Lady at the Well...at a Montgomery Ward's store, no less. Coincidence that I was standing right by the stereo albums? Chuckling now...yes. The album was there. I don't think anyone has moved me as much from that world, than he.

Man, I fell in and out of love as a young man back in the day and Jackson’s music was often coming out of my stereo. Also while driving all the way out to Ditch Plains Beach in Montauk, Long Island. Would’ve loved to see him in live in Hamburg. The Reeperbahn Festival is even at walking distance from my place. Been living here for so long, but his music takes me back home in a New York minute
