As myself coming from a "broken home"... sometimes it really is for the best for the divorce to happen. Both my parents became much happier apart from each other and as a child there was a lot less yelling and tension so....

I don't know, as I kid, I was fine accepting my parents divorcing cause I figured "If two people don't love each other anymore then what's the point of marriage?". My parents are with their own partners now and they're 10x happier and I'm happy for them. (Plus I got to have extra christmas presents lol). I didn't grew up hating my parents, I just grew up a little differently. Sometimes divorce is the right choice for your parents and for yourself.

What they wanted: A mutually beneficial divorce to give their daughter the opportunity at a more steady life and not remain in an unfulfilling, though still jovial, relationship. What they got: Massive amounts of trauma from repeatedly dying and being faced with the deeper implications of their ignorance to the life experience of household objects and animals while getting roped into a war, a revenge torment act, the recovery of half of a hammer's body, and a creepy book whose been hanging out with their daughter, all in the name of making them love each other again, which it does seem they actually do, just not in any way that would allow them to be satisfied with the life and relationship they currently have. seriously though, this game is beautiful and mad charming just, the premise of all of this, I cannot 😂 EDIT: I hadn't yet reached the stage where they kill each other in an isolated chamber. That was unexpected.

The start of the stream was so thematic for me today. I did a whole research project on the BBC being transphobic, and even though I'm not trans, hearing "trans rights" at the start of the stream made me feel a lot better

"Can I go play in my room?" was basically how I reacted when my parents told us they were getting divorced. My sisters thought this was heartless, but I was nineteen and preparing to move out anyway so what business was it of mine what my parents did? Was I supposed to act shocked and sad? I was the oldest sibling still living at home and had seen the writing on the wall.

My parents haven't been together since I was three, so all I want is for them go get along, co-parent piecefully and be allowed to live their lives separately, but also that they take the lessons learned here to communicate and work together with their new partners and each other..
