The Jaguar XK is a car which I have talked about at length here in Beards 'n Cars, and this 4.2 XK base model with 300 bhp is the best of them all for someone on a budget. For 10k or sometimes even less you can pick up a legitimately gorgeous 4.2 V8 GT car with a stunning design, lovely soundtrack and great driving feel as a modern day classic esque tourer.

The XK and XKR are the sweet spot in a GT car. The perfect mix of looks, power, reliability and affordability. I purchased a 2007 XKR two years ago and struggle to find a car that would better it on the points I made. Feels like my forever car.

Every point you made about why you would choose this version of this car mirrors my own thoughts. I've had one for several months now and I love it. I haven't seen another one on the road, where I am, which makes it even more special. Great video.

I'd be happy to spend 10K for a mint example and think it's actually recommendable to do so. When you're buying a car, always buy the best car you can afford, as my brother once wisely said. I learned the hard way he was right.

i own a 2000 XKR similar to the one for sale for £17,000 + at the start of the vid and i do not regret buying it for £9,000 2 years ago lol

I just spent 16k on a 2009 XK Portfolio with 40k miles and I LOVE IT !!! Although I have not been able to get better than 20 Miles/Gallon, probably the fact that I use it every day in horrendous traffic at the moment , March in the UK is the time of road works everywhere and makes the traffic horrendous.

Many of these were original reviews and yeah my style of footage editing and shot lengths have changed quite a bit since back in 2020 when this one was. Comparing this to a 2023 review of the Porsche Macan recently for example, there are a number of differences and improvements 🤙
