Bredis being 39 is just a bit too much. I wouldn't write him off though.

Opetaia will be too much for Breidis and will prove why he’s the best in the division

Jai Opetaia by late round K.O 10-12. Activity, gaining experience, no wear and tear in last 2 fights vs no activity in last 2 years and getting older. I predict a savage stoppage.

Breidis at his best is one of the best Cruiserweights of the last 20 years. Whenever he fought poor opposition he tended to fight down to that level and look pretty pedestrian which I think colours peoples view of him. The fight between Usyk and Breidis is one of the best fights of the last decade for me, and Breidis was superb in that fight. I feel like he may be too old now, but he's insanely tough and he managed to break Opetaia's jaw... Opetaia is a badass but he went into the trenches with Breidis and only just came out. This is not someone Opetaia can bulldozer, unless he's aged rapidly.

If this rematch had happened sooner, possible that Breidas might have won the rematch. But it is nearly 2 years, and I can't see Breidas winning. I felt the first fight was an upset. But Opetaia being some 10 years younger and having boxed, though against inferior oppostion, have to give it to him. Breidis has a chance, but he has to land something big early. It would of course be interesting how these two would do against the other champs.

There are some boxers that need hype, need to shout, need to sell themselves. And then there are the rare few that can do all of that just by competing as their skills do much more than talking and they get instant fans after people watch them. Usyk is one, as an Englishman I watched his first fight with Joshua and naturally I sided with Joshua but before the bout had finished I was a big fan of Usyk and applauded his win. Opetaia is another one, his skills and power are a clear level above most and its frankly easy for an armchair fan to watch him and be able to recognize the difference Evander Holyfield another one, Salvador Sanchez, the list goes one but its not that populated, only the ones that do populate the list happen to be popular for the most part save for wizards like Emmanuel Augustus Id bet that Jai is going to be a hall of famer one day prediction Jai via KO round 5

It might be that inactivity of Briedis has actually benefited him because he has finally properly healed from all the nagging injuries he had. On the other hand we have seen with AJ just how important staying active and sharp is. I believe this is going to be a great, close fight! It would be wise for people who dont rate Briedis to remember that he is the only man that has given Usyk real challenge.

Opetaia jaw was badly broken in this match, in pics you can see it hanging off when it was hit hard, for him to come through that and win was insane, I think he will knock out Briedis early. Opetaia is one scary fighter when he wants to be.

Opetaia is nearing his peak and is only improving, he is a problem for anyone and will in the top 10 pound for pound once he is cleans out the cruiser weight division

Jai did not fade, he had a broken jaw which took a toll on him in later rounds.

Breidis needs to start well but thats going to be hard with the long lay off and ring rust that comes with that. I got Opetaia to win this easily so Breidis really needs a good start to have a chance of winning.

This one os going to be a good one...even a great one. Both guys are awesome but Briedis is gold from yesterday and Jaia might be gold today. Their first fight was a banger.

In his prime, in the mid 2010s, Briedis was very good and this version of him would have won 8-4 or 9-3. Now it's probably Opetaia again.

Two of the undercard fights I'm looking forward to are this one and the Agit Kayabel v Frank Sanchez fight, for this one I think Opetaia is going to do the business inactivity is no good for any boxer especially a 39 year old one.

Briedis is tough but 2 years of inactivity will definitely hamper his chances here - Opetaia is smack bang in his prime & brimming with confidence & I can't see any way Briedis will be better than he was in their 1st fight at 39... this one screams stoppage to me

After this fight jai is in a good position I feel, he’ll most likely stay busy however if he doesn’t, he can wait for zurdo, as I assume Oscar’s gonna try to keep zurdo away from jai until he fights the wbc champ for a 3 belt uni. Breidis has been an absolutely great champion but I also wonder what happens hen he's turning 40, hasn't been active and Jay Opatay is just absolutely peaking as one of the best of the best in the world. Mind you, I cannot discount Breidis.

This might sound harsh but I feel like Opetaia's stock will go down if he can't get a knockout or at least a knockdown against an inactive 40 year old Briedis who hasn't fought in 2 years.

I think Briedis was not well prepared for the previous fight with Opetaia. In my opinion he should be winning that fight as his skills were better. But this time father time won't let him win. So yes - Opetaia is a 70-30 favorite here.
