This is quite true, I see ‘youtubers’ as entertainers/a show and how I feel about, I dunno dexter the series is kind in of how I view yt channels , I go through motions of loving the writing/not agreeing with the writing, when I think an episode sucked & voice it I feel I have an opinion on where it’s going for the next series as when writers hear the feedback they might pick up things viewers are saying or disregard it, I don’t think they ‘owe’ me anything but if the writers/producers are rolling out Dexter episodes I’m probably gonna have an opinion because you get hooked in, wether it’s right or not I ‘guiltily’ do this with RU-vid entertainers too although I don’t often comment on videos I’ll sit with my friends and talk about the latest video of ‘bla bla’ the same as how I would talk about dexter & wether I thought it was decent. I will say though no one would have platforms if it weren’t for fan bases, it’s nice seeing anyone with platform being grateful and humble and hearing people out for the content choices, and to just disregard/ be less invested in people having an opinion on their self because the viewer most likely see’s them as a ‘show’, unlikely they’re being malicious.
