Very nice video of the Kansai area. I went to Japan last Oct/Nov and loved all of the places that I visited in Kansai, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and even stayed a night in Koyasan. Amazing experience! I"m planning to go back in 2020 after the Olympics.

The two guardians in front of Goyasan are 哼哈二将 from ancient Chinese mythology, and the sounds they make are two type of attacks, hence the guardian role

Pachinko parlors are not really that fun, it is super loud, and filled with cigarette smoke as like most arcades in Japan. It is not hard to figure out with a video guide on youtube, but your not going to win much if anything.

Oh my gosh I would love to!!!!!! My Pop (not my blood grandfather but still my grandfather 😂😍) was Scottish. But we learned a lot so hopefully it helps us get to his level 💕 hahaha I need to film Matt telling that Onsen story. My basic understanding is there was a tourist making things awkward 😂 the ladies bath was a vastly different, very peaceful experience! P x

New sub here! I'm an Aussie living in Osaka 😁 Great travel guide, guys. Informative and a nice snapshot of Kansai. Love the music choices and cinematics. Can I please offer a tip? Kansai is pronounced Kahn-sai not Can-sai. Taiyaki is one of my favourite street foods. Sweet potato is a seasonal taiyaki during winter. Right now, they're doing sakura (cherry blossom) flavour in prep for sakura season. The Choco Baby scene was hilarious 🤣 Koyasan is on the bucket list! Loved the drone shots and B-roll. By the way, Todaiji Temple's Buddha is bronze and the largest of its kind in the world. You guys are going to be huge travel vloggers!

Konnichiwa! That was the first Japanese word I heard when I left my hotel room. Greeted by a happy lovely lady. I was so happy when this video was posted, I loved the way you showed the off-the-beaten-track of the Kansai region. All highlights you showed were new to me and I fell in love especially with the Okuno-In and Kobo Daishi's Mausoleum 😍. Those places were amazing in the way you showed it. Japan feels like coming home, talking about coming home, when I got back home from Japan there were 2 disappointments. I was surrounded by Dutch people instead of Japanese, and the Dutch people aren't as mannered as Japanese, and the toilet seats weren't heated! Hello! Ive never been to Kyoto so i cant compare the two but I really enjoyed Osaka. I’d definitely recommend trying to get to Koyasan if you can and see some of the more remote spots (I like to visit big cities but I prefer the more hidden/nature spots so mixing the two together is the perfect outcome).
