Aminat and Fo are my favorites from that season by far. Aminat is one of the most stunning models to ever be on the show, she’s one of the best runway walkers ever and has a fabulous body and gorgeous face. Plus she’s endlessly quotable. Fo is so lovely as a human being in addition to being a beautiful woman.
Teyona was the right winner..she had the look and the runway presentation....the bookings--she booked all. In addition, she went to south africa-elite model management..she booked the highest amount of runway jobs-1st season...it was crazy...And she did Cosmopolitan and etc...she is one of the successful....I think the downside...in her later years...was the reality tv curse being that she won...hence she changed her name from Teyona to Asia Anderson...she is retired now...I think she got tired of the politics of modeling..casting etc.

Devil's advocate, I think the issue with London wasn't that she was gaining weight, it was just more of an issue of weight management. If a model is booked for a job having a certain weight, then arrives to that job having gained or lost a significant amount of weight, that model may no longer be able to fit the clothes, thus costing the client time and money. The girls are often told to treat the show like it's their job, so I suppose they were just trying to inform her of that and to be cautious

first of all: EXACTLY! sex work is valid work for some and can be safely regulated. sex work and sex trafficking are two different things and it’s important people know the difference. aside from that - and irregardless as to what people believe about escorting as a whole - angelea’s escort past shouldn’t have played a part in the competition. for them to disqualify/decrown her JUST because she was once a sex worker is extremely wrong. mr jay’s reaction to her history proves how at the time, prejudice played a big part in her disqualification. i’m interested to hear his thoughts on all stars now, as many fans think she deserved the win but clearly production thought otherwise.

Tbh i didn’t really agree with Jay’s interpretation of why Allison has a huge fan base. I got the awkward and quirkiness, but really i didn’t get “ugly duckling” part. If anything I’m a fan of Allison, because of how she’s herself in everything she does. Everything that she did on the show really felt authentic. Not only that but she’s a nerd! She loves nerdy things, and I see this on her instagram. It makes her more relatable

I heard from a very reliable source that there was a lot of behind the scenes drama on season 12 especially regarding Tyra and what some considered unprofessional behavior. Someone gave her the nickname "Tyra-sorus Rex"
The problem was her talk show. she was basically doing 2 things at the same time! She was like a ghost during half of this season only on green screens and tv talking to the girls lol.
Don't find it hard to believe since former contestants have said how much they suffered during the show (Jeana, Tiffany, Natalie, Angelea)... Tyra wants to be portrayed as this "awkward, sweet and clumsy girl who is relatable to everybody", but so far, looks like she's just a monster
The way that they attacked London about her weight On that cycle made my stomach churn. She was so gorgeous to me, one of my favorites on the whole series, and she had such a warm personality
The thing with Tahlia is she had a moment of weakness. We all have them where we think “ok maybe I can’t do this but I’ll keep going and see what happens” she got best photo that week and I think that’s exactly what she needed to see that she can do this! Love her!

I love Mr. Jay to the moon and back but I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say something about the disgust on his face when he mentioned Angelea being a sex worker. Sex work should NOT be a shameful job. We all have to do what we have to do and for some people that includes selling their bodies or showing them off. It’s not always the ideal job, but neither is McDonalds. Angelea mentioned on this season during casting that she slept at the bus station to get there, her circumstances were already not ideal. Instead of shaming her for what she used to do, I think a great practice would be praising her for overcoming her challenges and WINNING ANTM ALLSTARS!!!

I'm sure they were allllll (probably) offered that opportunity, but some of them probably didn't want to return for that drama, or deal with production, or just didn't want to be apart of the experience....xyz of reasons. Plus, we don't know how fans "voted" for the ones who did return to return. You can't force the girls to return, even though we want them too. :'( Just think about it, after the career Yaya has manifested for herself - you think she is coming back for THAT drama??! I don't think Kahlen or Sam does modeling at all. Anya built a stellar career. Joanies' become a Mom and gained some weight. Molly probably wanted NOTHING to do with the show because we know how bitter she said she was going to be if she didn't win. Curious why Natasha didn't come back? She was a fan fav! I was hoping Jay would give more information about what went on with Natalie's elimination and her fight with Tyra. I honestly believe she was unfairly portrayed as this mean girl and it's quite funny how, right after Sandra went home, the negative light was on Natalie... I'm just saying, the show did her dirty. I just hope, whenever they get to All Stars, Jay doesn't bring Isis, I don't feel like watching another hour of "Isis' journey"
