Props to Jaylon for showing up for this interview... As a coach, I'm happy we finally got concrete examples of all the issues that needed to be address. We were exposed in an embarrassing fashion by expecting the Defense and Punt Teams to overachieve so we can win. Our odd refusal to run the ball in a physical manner with our running backs was put on display. The lack of a backup Offensive Line rotation was stressed also... Hopefully we get these things handled before we get embarrassed during Division play...
Eberflus didn’t put his players in a position to execute on the LAST 2 plays. That play before the hail mary was just as important as the heave into the end zone and the coach said it didn’t matter. But what should be really worrisome is that Eberflus has never blamed himself for any of the losses the past 3 years. He generally talks around it and that the players have to execute better. Just once, I’d like to hear him say I made some mistakes and need to coach better.
So tired of sentences beginning with "At the end of the day...". Jaylon says it every other sentence. Cole says it all the time. Every talking head soiling sports talk constantly use it. ESPN affecting the English language is not a good thing. Boo-yah!
@@Brando56725 Seriously. By not doing that the other team can just put their 3rd or 4th best WR on Jaylon's side every play if he's not following a certain guy around. I get what he was saying about simplifying things, but F that. We need him to shut down the other team's #1 option on every pass play. That would make more of an impact that simplifying this or that.
8 games in and Flus is still sleepwalking through the season, he's being outcoached every week like he doesn't realize that this is a team that can win if they are managed properly _ WTFU man, this team is built to win now if healthy and given a chance, and the rest of the league knows it.
Exactly what JJ just said, SHOULD HAVE CALLED A TIMEOUT to get things dialed in. Flus still says he didn't need to call a timeout?!? What are you learning coach? Admit you could have done things differently. Ridiculous
Pisses me off even more hearing Kevin byard talk about how Tremaine Edmund’s was on the double team on terry when he’s meant to have his 6’7 ahh back there. Flus clearly seen that and STILL didn’t call a timeout 😂
Enjoyed Jaylon’s interview. Glad he shared experiences. If we’re honest, undisciplined players are a coaching issue and the football games have been over complicated, especially with some odd play calling from the coaches, players are vocalizing frustrations. Eberflus has demonstrated lack of accountability with poor decisions. And taunting fans stuff is a waste of energy, don’t allow it. Time for head coach to show some integrity and head leadership or time to move on.
Can you imagine what Buddy Ryan and Ditka would have said to Tyrique in the locker room after this last game? In front of all the other players as well.....We could use some of that right now
Everybody think we should’ve called a TO except da coach of our team 💯 I’m glad jaylon threw him under da bus Sombebody gotta say ts Matt is da worst coach in NFL
Not calling a timeout is wild. Eberflus been showed he’s not head coach material. This is just the icing. Three timeouts left and doesn’t even use one. Waldron doesn’t get a pass either. His play calling is soooo trash. Waiting for Caleb to start over riding him at this point.
Secondly I think the bears Head coach should be moved to the defensive coach position and they need to get a good head coach who ain't afraid to coach these guys and they want to be coached......remember what happened after the offensive players meeting with Shane? Bears won didn't they?
Okay so considering this team has 17 captains on it and 900 assistant coaches... Why didn't somebody have a set of eyes on the defense to make sure everyone was in place and then run up to Eberflus and tell him what they see and to call the time out???
Tyrique finally turned around (After taunting the crowd) and knew he was late for class on the last play so then instead of being in the end zone as the man behind the man he freaking runs to the ball and tips it to the generals.....somebody needs to rip him a new one
Jaylon is so chill and definitely one of my favorite bear.. players like tyreke need to follow Jaylon’s lead and help the team win and stop acting like a damn fool smh.. so what the hell did tyreke benefit from taunting the crowd like a fool? Nothing but hurt the team and help us lose.
Once the Bears get a head coach and offensive coordinator they should be better. The Bears should have won by 10 at least yesterday but Flusterfuck cost them the game. Stevenson needs to sit for a few games.
Can a player call a timeout from the sidelines? Because Caleb was pulling Flus back and looked like he noticed everything was off.. I wish Caleb just called a damn timeout and told Flus to go sit down.
JJ is Him. Thank god he can just be honest. I hope the coaches dont take this wrong way. These are grown ass men, everyone has been saying they shoulda taken the time out. its good to hear there is some rationality on the team
There coach has the presence to throw an out but our eberflush thinks they’re just going to try and throw a 75 yard Hail Mary. He and poles need to be fired or they will ruin Caleb
I assume Flus is a great guy but not very good as an HC. This team has enough talent on both sides of the ball to even be in such a situation for a hail mary to win a game.
Someone on the field on defense should be able to call a timeout if they notice something that would call for a timeout. There needs to be someone that can do that if need be going forward.
Like if a captain were to notice something is clearly wrong and we aren’t ready defensively especially in a Hail Mary situation there should be some sort of protocol for allowing a captain to make a call like that if it could potentially save the game. Coaches can’t see everything.
Well if they really are and really want to be an elite defense, this can galvanize them. It could be a point where they take it to another level. That's the possible positive...
Pretty sure he could have called a timeout just like anyone else on the field, if he felt so strongly about it. Way to back up the bus on someone else after the fact when you yourself could’ve took the timeout and asked for forgiveness later in the locker room while celebrating a gutsy come back win, instead of a historically embarrassing loss. Too many of these dudes popping off rather than taking some responsibility to be a leader in the moment.
The fact that they didn't call a timeout with 2 seconds left and left a spy on the qb as well just shows how absolutely idiotic Eburflus is. Be called a good defense the rest of the game but that was just insane. He doesn't know when to use timeouts this isn't the only time he's made mistakes with the timeouts.
Honestly this will prove to be one of those good loses. It's early enough in the season to learn from and move on and it's late enough in the season where they have had plenty success to hang their hats and not be too down. Plays like that will wake a team up.
What? This will be a more painful loss than the Colts loss. A.) It’s an NFC loss, so that automatically makes it more important if the playoffs are in the picture. B.) the win improved the Commanders playoff chances by 20% and hurt the Bears playoff chances by 21%. C.) the Eagles are now in the drivers seat of the final wild card spot. D.) the Commanders will now hold any sort of tie breaker if it comes to that. E.) if another NFC East team beats the Commanders and is a playoff contender they will move past the Bears based on similar opponents F.) the Bears are now firmly last in the division when they could have leapfrogged Minnesota and still be in the thick of it. I could be wrong, and this could all not matter if the team falls apart with no chance of a postseason. However, I still do not view this as a “good loss”.
@@Olmekc woaahh talk about dramatic. It's week 8. All of the things you just typed will change over 100 times before the playoffs. The Bears aren't firmly anything with 10 games left on the schedule. Still have a winning record with a top 5 defense and developing rookie QB. The panic button is at bare minimum 4 games away.
Fastest dose of Karma I have ever witnessed!!! You guys got your a$$es handed to you for the first 52 minutes of the game. Take away a 56 yd run and a few scramble/passes in your final drives, then you'd be lucky to have had 175 yards of offense!!!! But boy, heck yeaah that was a back breaking loss if I ever seen one, could very well be the game you look back on and say, "that was the game that cost us the playoffs!"
How do we know that BEN JOHNSON is the leader of men? He could absolutely be the version of Matt Eberflus on OFFENSE. So what would be the difference? Furthermore, Ben Johnson has NEVER been a head coach in the NFL and neither has Tressman, Nagy or Eberflus. SEE THE TREND?
Bears don’t hire experienced high priced coaching. They rather take risks on the unknown 1st year head coaches. They come cheaper. Add to that, the McCaskeys love “yes men,” and not alpha and aggressive coaching styles anymore.
Last week Bears won three in a row and we're going to the Super Bowl. This week an ugly loss and we need to fire everyone. Fickle Bears fans on the Internet. I would hope the Bears are ignoring all this noise and moving on to Arizona. Social media = peanut gallery.
It’s almost like we have multiple seasons of bad coaching examples instead of cherry picking from the last three games winning against bad or injured teams.
This is on the coaches not the players even to me Stevenson gets a pass this game was over until it wasn't the free 14 yard play to the commanders should not have happened the blowed holding calls in front of America should never have happened but it did the coaches let that ball get to the one with bad defensive play calling, on truth those 14 yards go away it's a different feel in Chicago
I dont blame the smiles. u cant help but to laugh at that nonsense from last night. 9:47 trying to get him to blame the coaches was lame af, dont divide a team thats still trying to figure things out this year. u cant keep blaming the coaches every thing doesnt go well. listen to what COle stated. theres players not even taking it serious in practice. what if the coach designed a good play, yet the players are doing their job on offense?
Oh come on now you can't tell me these coaches aren't mostly to blame for the BS that we're still seeing. I can talk for an hour straight about the horrible decisions between Flus and Waldron. Apparently you either didn't watch the game or you didn't pay attention. And if guys aren't taking it serious in practice guess what the coaches are allowing it that
Pointing the blame?yall shouldnt even have been in this game in the first place against a "bad defense"washington had 500+yards on offense. YALL ARE done because the excuse that bailed caleb and the offense out.think about it there not talking about the bad play of caleb and the offense for three quarters.
Like im like damn like we like bro like and like and like like and like duh duh like duh duh like like bro like like bro bep bep bep loke like like bro du duh duh duh like? He the dude in the middle saying words or just making sounds? Like like duh duh duh like bro like? 😂😂
@@shonlondon57Caleb came in clutch when needed!! His OC failed this game didn’t incorporate the run until last quarter like wtf!! We have roschon for a reason and swift
My thing is Jaylon is right. But why in the h*** he are anybody else on the field didn't call a timeout smh. Players as well can call timeout while on the field.
@@kgeyedoc I didn't but I definitely heard all of what I needed to hear only about how he felt like a timeout should've been called and the Stevenson situation. I HEARD IT ALL. What he said is NO excuse. He thought everything was good, but then turns around and said that he felt like "maybe" a timeout could've been called. Yea you right, a "timeout could've been called". So why yall didn't call a timeout.. Especially having your last player, waay over there by the Commander fans.. Smh.
@marticusquarles3803 he explained that he's never even heard of a defensive player calling a timeout. It's not not even "a thing." This falls on Flus. You should keep listening...it only gets worse and worse for Flus. The whole thing is inexcusable. Guys were out of position...it was never clear who had who....Jaylon was talking to another player (I forget...Tremaine I think) trying to figure out who to double. The whole operation was a disaster.
@@kgeyedoc In the NFL rule book. "Coaches and players (that are on the field) can call timeouts". He said he didn't know, well for one. You in the league man, you should be on these rules, you should know that. Even great players call timeouts when they see or sense something is wrong, so that's an excuse on him and he wants to considered the best. Which is he is great, but you gotta also have a good mind as a great player, it's just not about wgat you can do athletically. Next. He contradicts himself, because he solved his own issue that he didn't decide to go with. He said "We could've called a timeout" but guess what he says afterwards.. He then goes on to say "I was just in moment of trying to get our guys in the right position and I noticed we wasn't and me and Tremaine was trying to get everyone in position".. So you didn't think to "call a timeout" when you just said that yall wasn't fully ready.. It's just lack of thinkin and it happens. It's just the fact that he said that he didn't think defensive players don't call timeouts smh. There's several that has. Just lack from the defensive secondary in the end of that play. I would've damn call a timeout, right when I seen Stevendon not in the play. Hell Caleb seen the whole problem and also seen Stevenson not into the play and he was on the damn sideline smh. And was trying to get the defensive team heads straight. The hand waving back signal. Smh. There is a video of him communicating with the defensive on the sideline.
@marticusquarles3803 imo, it's 100% on the coach. First the awful playcall on the play before the hail Mary. Second, not calling a TO before the last play. It was the obvious thing to do in the first place and glaringly so after seeing the confusion amongst the defense. Lastly, there was never a discussion between the coach and the D about the possibility of an "emergency" where a player is empowered to call a TO if need be. You're expecting Jaylon to call a TO when it is rarely if ever done by a def player when the coach clearly has never even discussed the possibility of it in the first place? Sure...Jaylon could have called a TO. But Eberflus absolutely SHOULD have. That's his damn job.
