xtreme 2 is love...

I got xtreme 2 and i updated it and i dont know why were everyone hating it. I own charge 3 too and xtreme 2 is much louder, cleaner and beter looking speaker. When im playing aqua drop on charge 3, its making sound like a bee. When i play it on xtreme 2, im really excited. Ive never heard better sound from portable speaker.

The charge 4 did actually pretty good even though the size difference is huge.

The charge 4 is a way better option for a portable speaker the sound for the extreme doesn't out way the weight, size and battery life. Charge 4 for me thank you!

5:08 The Xtreme 2 has 70 mm drivers not 101. The Boombox has 101 mm drivers.

Xtreme will always win cuz of tweeters and bigger drivers

For me, the charge 4 is ideal. Because it is a mono speaker, i have two of them connected as left channel and right channel for stereo and it sounds great

As far as I'm concerned, I really don't see the usefulness of having two transducers for the stereo effect for such a small portable speaker. Who will be placed in front of his device for hours to listen to it in stereo ? I like the idea of charge 4, the mono-speaker allows to have more depth bass and better overall sound than the charge 3.

The charge is missing some highs and some high mids. I’d say for the price charge 4 wins

Good review. I appreciate the soundstage & sound quality comments. I recently purchased the Charge 4 and the sound quality is not great although it will likely work for most people. For my listening preferences, mono doesn't make the cut so I will be looking at the Xtreme or Xtreme 2.

xtreme 2 is clearer! those who think charge 4 is the same or better need to get a hearing test.

Smaller speakers don't need 2 drivers. Jbl are going onyx style which is good for bass. I like how the charge 4 has 1x 30 watt driver (just as much as the extreme)

I immediately skip to verdict part because I trust your opinion. 👍 I got a JBL Xtreme (the first) and still happy (even though sometimes too much bass), I will use it for a while till new speakers come around that blow away the others.

it is how you use them. Like, you can use the Xtreme 2 with his godblessing carryingstrap but you can also take the Charge 4 cuz its smaller but for me less portable cuz i use them on the beach and some other things (i walk much) and then the carryingstrap is good.

Charge 4 is almost half the price so consider buying 2 charge 4s and pairing them.

i totally agree with you here, a mono speaker is really not immersive at all, it's weird, even my phone has stéréo sound. when you used to have a mono speaker like the jbl clip and then you get the flip 3 the sound stage is mind blowing ! moreover the charge 4 is another covered speaker that hasn't enough treble even if it's more detailed then the charge 3

Now these speakers are classic in 2023 but worth buying.

Turn the speed to 0.25 when the charge 4 turn around you will see the charge 3

Depends on what music and how you listen to music.. if you like rap, techno and just blasting music... xtreme is for you. If you like a clearer sound with relaxing music such as rnb and reggae the charge 4 all the way.

I take Extreme 2 for me and take charge 4 for children, i think Charge 4 loud better, he small but sound and bass is perfect, extreme 2 is big but sound is not better

the extreme 2 looks like a lunch box, performance is meh you wont see the difference if ur drinking beer, charge 4 easy to store at places as well, unless you're really concentrating on music ( mostly used with peopel, talking while listening to music) power and quality for a cheaper price is always a winner

For me extreme 2 is the best for e than charge thats why i want to buy again extreme 2 green.. Good basa besides old tested the bass no one can comparison the old bass and also the price its looks like the same or almost near the price between that 2 types... I bought 2xcharge 4 becouse i thought: It is imposible to have with 1 xtreme2 a stereo sound you have with the 2xcharge 4. Also 2xcharge 4 = 60w. Also you don't need all (xtreme2)power always. I mean many times 1xcharge 4 is anought and you are carring smaler piece.. 1 xtreme2 or 2xcharge 4=price.
