Sony better, because the extra bass mode increases the low tones, so when the speaker plays at 30%, you can hear more low tones than the others, but you can hear nice bass, which is not JBL when you give louder bass in JBL increases. In Sony music center I set bass: +10, mids: +3, treble: +10 and I think Sony sounds perfect. The louder you give the more high and medium tones can be heard. That is why I always listen in extra bass mode because I hear strong bass when listening quietly
Exactly right, I have an xb41 and at 30% Percent volume, there is deep bass and can beat out the JBL Boombox at that volume. But cranking the xb41 past 60% volume, the xtreme 2 takes the lead concerning bass, but the xtreme 2 has better instrument separation, and clarity, because the xb41 is lacking tweeters, it can't perform as well as the xtreme 2. But I only listen to rap music, so I like the xb41
All because the jbl doesn't have eq setting doesn't make it Fair. The Sony comes from the box with bass boost already on, and is the main selling point.

Actually the xtreme 2 has 2 75mm woofers and 2 20 mm tweets and 2 bass radiators and the xb31 has 55mm woofers 2 bass radiators one in the middle back and front
This is hilarious jbl blows sony out the water, my friends told me to turn that Sony off and stay with the jbl. If you want a club sound or close to it get the jbl extreme or the jbl boombox, Chinese people taste in sound is completely different from Americans trust and believe that. If you love sony get the sony high power xb60 portable bluetooth speaker, now that speaker totally kicks butt and the jbl party box is the best.
@@seanramnarine2465 that speaker is good but it don't come nowhere near the jbl boombox, xb1 has good base but no clarity. Xb1 is more portable than the boombox though but the only thing that can match up with the boombox is the ue hyperboom....sony xb90 is serious but hard to carry around
Don’t get me wrong I like jbl speakers and I was thinking of selling my 41 to get an xtreme 2 or xtreme 1 but my problem with that is portability because neither of them can fit in my bag and if i have them on my shoulders I’m afraid one of the will get stolen. My other problem is price because I got my 41 for 140 and I can’t find an xtreme 2 for lower than 250.
The sony exbs 41 sound good. However I think the jbl exreme 2 kills the sony exbs 41 hands down. What about the jbl exreme 2 the bass very punchy good deep bass and sound lot more cleaner then the sony exbs 41.This is why I will buy the jbl exreme 2 Because I love the bass.

This dud thinks the drivers are tweters but it’s not the jbl has 2 70 mm drivers 2 20 mm tweeters and 2 passive raidiators /Sony has 2 58mm drivers 2 passive in the front and back and no tweeters tweeters are for high definition highs not bass he should do research
@@aaronloudnwireless Xb41 does not have any tweeter...tweeters and drivers are different. It has 2 drivers and 2 bass radiators. Just disassemble the speaker and check!!

@@amoresgwyn10 I went to the store yesterday to hear the JBL Etreme 2 and XB41 . there is a huge different between them. JBL Extreme less Bass and loudnes JBL sounds realy soft and it sucks!!!!
That is just used for testing and service, it disables all the eq and compression settings that make the speaker sound better. So if you use the speaker with "LFM" on, you will basically hear the speaker itself with no tuning.
The sony XB41 speaker does not have a Treble speaker, so listening at a distance and near the bass is extremely interesting. This reduces the harshness of long listening sessions.
xb41 sounds better, hands down. xtreme2 has weak bass and sounds like an old boombox. welcome to 2018, sony wins. jbl is fine for classical. xb41 is best for a dance party.
Are you deaf? The JBL has way better controlled bass, better treble definition and no distortion. Sony is a muffled piece of crap, how can people like it? And the megaboom is the biggest shit, it has no deep bass, just hollow upper bass and it compresses a lot.
