@@enigmaticmoni Thanks for your comment, I can tell you that video is coming up next, I just got a Onyx studio 5 ordered and waiting for delivery, give me some time to thoroughly profile the speaker and the video will come up really soon I promise.
I have the xb-40 and i can tell you that its cheap in materials and when compare to hk its seriously no compare.... cuz sony dont put tweeters in their speakers in order to sell them cheap T_T
Seriously, Harman Kardon should pay you for actually doing their advertising for them, these speaker reviews are where everyone stops searching and finally can surely decide.
See but I felt like the onyx was lacking, I really was unimpressed when I finally got it. The biggest issue with Bluetooth audio speakers for me is the sound profile comes across as compressed. The onyx doesn’t overcome this, and so the in person comparison between these two speakers is not all that different
@@bmaedah thanks for your feedback and support in this channel really appreciate it. And yeah the Onyx 4 is not a perfect speaker but its performance is guaranteed to make anyone happy with thier hard earned spend.
But as far as portability and ruggedness plus battery life goes the sony is the clear winner. Sorry to disagree on the "better" part. Yep better in sound quality but not BETTER overall
You did an excellant job! My little suggestion, but it could be also as great as what you presented to all of us without it. You played the 2 different speakers for comparison of sound, but I hope you could add a short part for both speakers playing in the same time, so that we could actually have a look on what is the really differences on both comparison. Just my thought. Btw I like how you compare the speakers! 👍🏻
This is brilliant video. Thanks a lot man. You have made a super comprehensive review/comparison. Will definitely recommend you to anyone who needs help in the audio department.
I dont know why everyone say bad about xb41 like that, if u only have xb41 u will absolutely say this speaker is gorgeous, when i turn on xb41 in my room office a college in the next room come to my room and ask me what my speaker is? It still a good speaker on the market, ofcourse when u have 2 speakers like ocm reviews u can hear onyx 4 is better but xb41 still very good, i bought xb41 after watch this video because xb41 still have 24 hours play music, led rgb very attractive, ip67 water shield, u will be asked by another person about your speaker when u turn xb41 on, and onyx4.....just only 6 hours play, always worry about battery low, onyx 4 become a speaker in the room not a good portable speaker and when u buy a speaker for room u can buy 300w soundbar 5.1 with a same price like sj8 more better or fx3800 fenda cheaper but more powerfull, bass of fenda fx3800 or soundbar sj8 can shake every single glass in your room with deep strong bass surround u, i think that’s the reasons why onyx 4 - onyx 5 very cheap right now just only 119$ on amazon. By the way, your video is very good.
Nice music selection bro. I really like listening to what you've got here. Me, personally though, I decided to go with the Onyx Studio 4. Thanks for the upload.
Lyu Tanifuji Fernández Thanks you for your comment, I don’t have the JBL extreme now but I hope to get it in, as soon as I do I would make a comparison video for you.
great job, thank you for this amazing and brilliant review.. I appreciate your great effort . I'm not expert in music world or test but I noticed Harman kardon speaker is good and deliver good voice quality for many music tons but failed in Pop 2, Rock, Classical and Cinematic, what do you think ? ? Greetings from Sweden
Greetings!, Thanks for your feedback . yeah I do agree in some genres the sony sounded a bit more open than the Onyx. The only think lacking in the sony is a good punch otherwise its actually a really good speaker.
Excelent video, profi. You figure out how connect 2 HK 4 in stereo mode? even if there is needed cables. I want to buy another HK4 for my desktop but i`m afraid they cant be paired in stereo mode. Thank you for this video @OCM Reviews, you really help people to decide.
2 HK4 can be paired in true L/R stereo, no need for cables, it can also be done using the HK App. the only problem is that you might need to always pair them each time you turn OFF and ON.
Lennart thanks for your comment, honestly I have not yet tried any of those speakers yet as they are quite expensive to get hold of, However I am looking to request a review sample from Harman Kardon hopefully they send it over for my testing, I would really love to really hear them for myself.
@@ugladden actually I got it for $125 off at Best Buy in store. Great Big difference in sound quality as I'm using it as my Soundbar too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g7CbjPDTHcw.html
@@LokeKQ the Eq was boosted slightly on the Sony app. Like you said the sony actually sounds better with EQ boosted to max but at high volumes the speaker starts to compress. So to keep the sony at best sound reproduction at high volume I only boost EQ slightly.
At first I thought the same then realised xb was on. I've got two Sony sea xb41's which are great, especially in tws mode. But HK studio 4 bass......amazing. HK studio 5,6 and maybe 7 even more amazing. Unfortunately I don't have any of them yet. HK in tws mode would be the ultimate acoustic experience.
I can't say how it would compare against a stereo setup of the xb30 but I can tell you that the studio 4 is a wonderful speaker. It's a beast on its own
night and day difference lol, especially considering the XB41 is like twice the price of the onyx 4. Extrabass and no bass, just like the JBL extreme but not really extreme. yeah onyx 4 is bigger and battery life is bad, the sound quality is just fantastic!
Very well said, I also was dissapointed with the XB41, considering its main selling point is Xtra Bass. Onyx is definitely one of the best that I have come across so far.
SeanAmarah's Channel my channel is still too small to help any channel as of today, my advise to you is to keep hustling, try to make important videos, think about what you will like to know, then make videos to answer the question, target new and popular products budget or premium, do this and your channel will grow
Yeah HK for me here too. I dont have the Vifa Oslo but I am really looking forward to trying one of their speakers I have heard great things about them, would love to try them and do a comparison myself.
@@bobjones-hs5nc honestly it really doesnt sound good! I really love Sony but I'm not quite sure what they are trying to achieve with the live sound mode. It simply sounds like adding reverb effects to a sound. Depending on your genre choice it might work for you, music with a lot of sustained sounds like ambient music, orchestral music, or some jazz music do sound great on the live sound, but punchy music with kick and bass really dont sound good, you will find your self wanting to swtich it off.
@@OCMANMEDIA Oh right, i see, I wanted something like this for my car, I've take my subwoofer out of my boot because I want the space back, I could get an underseat subwoofer but I thought what about a bluetooth speaker?
@@bobjones-hs5nc oh ok, I've never tried it before, not sure how it will turn out. I guess blutooth speakers can work, but not sure if you will get the same low bass rumble experience like a sub, but Its worth a try.
are you kidding me, the difference is abysmal in favor of HK, you hear a warm sound rich in nuances and details, Sony sounds like a can. I think you will have to go to the doctor because you have serious hearing problems
OCM Reviews The XB41 wins over the XB40 on features, durability and lightning! And slightly better bass, overall sound quality still the XB40 is better than the XB41, XB41 is just a cut-cost item, it used the amplifier which was being used on the smaller XB21 and XB31, the YAMAHA YDA174, that’s why the bass is not that well at higher volumes while the XB40 still plays punchy and no distortion at higher volumes because the XB40 used different amplifier which gives more punchy bass at higher volume (I’ve heard that the XB41’s extra bass mode will turn off by itself when the volume is set to maximum, is that real..?)
