Hi Dave! So glad you’re doing your own videos! I really missed seeing you do your magic with all of the (John’s) upgrades you did! I believe your attention to detail is the best! I’d love to have you do my motor work but, live in Michigan! Can’t wait to see all of your results! Again… so happy for you!
I hear you Kevin. I trailered my Road out to Dave and Jay's from central Minnesota a couple years ago. I had a blast and those two are wonderful people.
Following from Australia. I used to watch the work you did for John from Cycle Fanatics 's U Tube channel. Already loving your content and looking forward to watching your channel grow. 👍
Great seeing you working on your bike.. it’s amazing that you are testing atleast 16 cams and counting.. when your done with the testing and dyno tuning everyone will know what cams work better and what cams aren’t as good .. thanks Dave .. looking forward to the next one by the way that 475 has a nice lope
You have an awesome shop and you are a perfectionist and I love that Dave. I seen Mr cycle fanatix videos when he was in your shop. Your work is meticulous and exceptional, I just wish I lived close man you would definitely get my buisness... I live in Washington county, PA...on the other side of the frikkin state!...lol. Be a little bit of a ride man!
If you'd consider putting a 135ci in my bike I can do hair and makeup for you pre filming . I've never done it before but I promise I'll learn 😂. GREAT video Dave lots of folks watching to see these results !
Hey Dave and Jay, I’m still loving the tune you put on my Roadglide last year. She rips! What kind of shim stock do you use on the crank sprocket? Is it regular carbon steel?
Another job well done. Of course. Love your little plug in for Khrome Werks LoL. P.S. Camera person did a hell of a job as well. Looking forward to some more great videos.
@JD I have a 2022 SGS 114 that I want to do a 128 kit with stock heads and a woods 22XE cam. Is the Harley oil pump sufficient? Is it really necessary to upgrade to S&S or Fueling?
Thanks Dave, another great video. But if I may suggest using a wireless microphone. Us old guys have trouble hearing you unless you're right on top of the camera
Love the channel man, new subscriber here. . There's a channel that said his road glide has an 800 lift cam. It does have a custom built one of a kind pipe, and I guess the dude had work done on the motor. Have you ever heard of an 800 lift cam?? 800's is what he said. The bike is on the OfficialMac channel and he calls the bike bipolar.
@JDsCycleWorks ....thank you for responding. I wish i lived close you'd definitely be my mechanic. I'm on the west side of PA tho in Washington county...lol, be a hell of a ride over!
Excellent video. With spring right around the corner, I've been thinking about a S&S or Woods cam upgrade myself. Are you better reliability with either or something else?!
Not sure if you remember Dave, but i called and asked you some questions last yr or a bit longer about putting a 475 cam into my 20 rgs with rdrs and wanting to use a tts tuner. Well i wasnt able to get the tuner cuz the guys were falling through but got the cam in and had the bike tuned by tony tucker himself at tucker speed in utah. Bike runs good even for running the utah tune in nc now but id still love to get you to put hands on her and pull her true potential out. You do great work.
@@JDsCycleWorks its been fantastic but i know theres more in it that can be tapped. And mabe by then ill be ready to swap out my throttle body and inectors after speaking with you again and see what other "minor" things i can do before its considered a "stage 3 or 4"
Would love to know what tuner your using and any additional upgrades to valve train/cam chest you feel are a worthy upgrade when changing to a “drop-in” cam. Is their a particular intake that stands out as being superior to another? As we know not all parts are created equal. Would love to know your entire bike setup. Thanks and REALLY appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge.
I did the testing on this bike with a stock 114" engine with TTS valve springs, S&S 55 mm unported intake, stock throttle body, 5.5 injectors, feuling race lifters, s&s adjustable push rods, stock cam chain tensioner, Arlen ness slot track air filter, Khrome werks 2-2 exhaust with louvered baffles, sunoco 93 pump gas and a TTS mastertune. The valve springs are optional but i do believe they helped this bike show better power than I normaly see by keeping the valve train happier at the higher rpms.
2” of clearance on tappets? How is that possible if it’s manufactured to be in that spot. I thought mentioning that could throw someone off during their install…
I don’t due to the fact that the crank run out exceeds the specifications needed to run a gear drive. For example the crank run out the crank run out on GoldenRod was 6 thousandths and a gear drive requires 3 thousandths or less to properly operated
