JEDI FALLEN ORDER Taron Malicos Boss Fight (Star Wars) Xbox One X 

Cool lore tip: When Mirrin says that an armored warrior killer her family with a lightsaber, she’s actually referring to General Grevious! He slaughtered the nightsisters on the orders of Dooku! This was seen in the clone wars cartoon by Dave Filoni. Cool things like this makes me want to get this game even more now! So many references to past storylines and lore!

I like how the story does not make this kids an overpowered natural. I think it is great how they make him lose while learning the ropes. Creates a since of realistic progression... especially if they continue this storyline

I like how Cal doesn't just flat out deny that the previous Jedi Order was flawed, he just wants to build off it. A true Jedi right there.

Pretty awesome how they integrated clone wars into the actual story of Merrin and Malicous. In actuality it was Grievous who rampaged Dathomir. Hope Merrin learns the truth one day.

Cal is just such a good character. There’s a lot of Luke Skywalker in him. He’s just got this mission where he’s like, “I know what’s right and wrong, you can’t tempt me.” I really loved this game. The story was incredible. Cal is such a great character.

This game really does look lovely. As a depressed starwars fan, this and Madalorian have re-sparked my childhood love for starwars

i like how this boss fight actually acknowledges the existence of passive telekinetic force barriers considering the fact that they have existed in star wars lore before but were rarely ever seen even in the classic expanded universe but in this game we do actually see the use of passive telekinetic barriers with taron malicos being able to use his defences against cal's force pushes

The writing in this game was fantastic. The designers really must have a love of Star Wars. Malicos speaks much truth in this scene. He is right when he says the fall of the Jedi was long before The Purge. It would be safe to say the Jedi destruction began a millennia before with Darh Bane's GRAND PLAN. The Sith would reduce to two and go underground. Infiltrate and destroy the Jedi with their own arrogance and complacency. Weaken the Order from within until it was ready to fall and the Sith achieve dominance.

Give Malicos some credit. The dude climbed down the side of Mt. Vesuvius to get behind the Romans when they had his army cornered.

Love BD’s head movements during the first few minutes. “Uhh...Cal, can we like, yknow, get out of here?”

What difficulty is this on? lol. On Jedi Master a red hit from this guy decimates you.

Alright guys so I just beat this on Jedi Grand Master and wanted to share what worked for me. I maxed health, force, and regain force when you use a canister. I did have to take some time and go back through other planets and collect Heath Canisters, Health, and Force. If you don't have a decent health bar and plenty of canisters this fight is near impossible. The first part is just hit, hit, back out and you basically repeat this till you lower his guard and can start doing damage. When he starts swinging at you just defend he won't break your guard in the first part. Second part when he throws the light saber up and runs at you it's swing (so block), swing, swing and then unleash on him after he makes the 3rd swing. If you make contact the light saber won't hit you. When he starts throwing rocks i usually just run around and dodge. If you hit him he'll drop the rock, but this is more dangerous time wise. Towards the end of the fight when he runs at your force push him away and force jump to him. That should automatically break his guard and let you hurt him. It takes a bit to get the timing down, but once you do it's pretty easy. This is the most important combo to learn this fight. Other than that just run and role around alot dodging his abilities.

The night sisters are super cool because they harness the more "magical" side of the force

Cal’s character development in survivor is crazy. Cameron did such a great job with developing cal’s inflection in his voice and movement

The biggest tip i can give is to use force push just before he uses his lightsaber strikes. His hands are like horizontal. He falls back after this push. This causes his block meter to almost deplete, making this an easy fight.

5:35 who else thinks this is the coolest cutscene in the game

I've been playing on Jedi Master since the beginning and this guy is way harder than here on Jedi Master difficulty. Force moves do not work on him only way to beat him is to get a perfect parry on him and get a few hits when he staggers. This is by far the hardest fight I have had in the game and the 9th sister was very challenging for me.

This boss on Grandmaster made me glad I played Sekiro first, this guy's moves and attacks are kinda similar to Genichiro

"We were peacekeepers." Oh my boy, the Jedi were keeping many things. Peace was not exactly the priority.

It feels weird having a character like him in canon especially during imperial reign, but hey just my opinion.

This is such an amazing Star Wars game ! Jedi Fallen Order nailed The lightsaber combat and The lightsaber itself is amazing ! Taron Malicos was such an unique, original and awesome villain in this game and the lightsaber duel against him was very challenging and epic !

6:20 boy oh boy that music gives me chills

I have him on the medium setting on find him unplayable once he reaches near half health. After his attack routines, a little something will happen to stop you counter attacking each time. Then once you go for him again he just does the same and it’s back to square 1 🤷🏻‍♂️ Once half health kicks in its Red move after red move on me, after his defence is broken; my hits do nothing to him.

Merrin’s has a sexy accent

I died fighting this guy WAY more then the final boss. Man a pain in my ass. I am surprise he is voiced by JD Fenix tho.

When I played this guy, he wasn’t sitting there while my Jedi focus was building up. What difficulty is this on?

Dude play at a higher difficulty, seeing the enemy wait for you to get up after knocking you down is really pissing me off especially since they said this games combat will be like Sekiro

It looks dull bc he’s playing at a lower difficulty so he can get gameplay out before others, crank it up to jedi master for a true experience

Getting buried alive: one of the worst ways to die. A fitting fate for malicos

i am having a hard time beating malico, the problem is i am used to dodging a lot in battlefront 2 but dodging is not that helpful in bosses cuz s lot of malico`s attacks are inblockable

Malicos reminds me of Jorus C'baoth from Legends. Pretty sure that's where they got the idea for him. Hope we see him again, could make for a great future antagonist.

I love how the argument between Cal and Malikos about the jedi kinda mirrors the one Ahsoka and Maul have in Clone Wars, it's just beautiful Cal: _I'm not interested in power, I want to restore the Jedi Order_ Malikos: _Restore the Jedi Order? I fought this guy on Jedi Master and it took me forever. Im gonna keep practicing until I can do a Grandmaster Walkthrough lol.

Im pissed I can't get to this fight. I died once but then I turned my Xbox off cause I had to get going, I come back a few hours later and all I get is a white screen whenever I interact with the door to get to him. Im annoyed that I might have to start a new game

I kinda think Malicos had the right idea here. Besides, the Nightsisters were already dead, so someone had to benefit from Dathomir's powers. And really, the Nightsisters were kinda evil. Remember how they abused the Nightbrothers? Annihilating them was the one good thing that the CIS did in the 3D Clone Wars show. Why cry tears for them when someone can use their powers for a greater cause?

You can actually cheese this fight pretty hard If you just push him everytime he is about to attack, he is gonna lose almost all of his poise and you can attack him once after to completly negate his poise.

3:00, though Malicos’ idea of the future is flawed. We can’t help but feel he was right as he recites the past, and the fact that his dismissal of the Republic was justified. Sad truth yes, but this moment he was right.

Word of advice for boss fights especially to the person who made this vid, stop relying on force moves, I saw multiple times where you spammed your depleted force meter when he was weakened. If you only use force abilities every now and then, and in every other case use your lightsaber then it’ll work better. Due to this method I did I beat him very quickly
