Funny timing. I just got home from getting 37's, after installing my lift yesterday, on my Sarge Green Rubicon. Albeit mine is a diesel. Love the content!

Other automotive RU-vid channels could learn a lot here. It would be interesting to do a comparison of costs and time to this suspension and trimming the fenders or adding flat fenders for 37’s.

@DrivingLine Год назад
It would be cheaper for sure to just split the fender flare. But, I would still have the same issues of limited suspension travel and poor shock valving. I made a video a while back showing how to split the stock flares on the Rubicon JT. It only takes a few hours.

I love diesel engines and sarge green. I got my sarge green 392 Jeep last September. Actually traded my ram Cummins for it which I miss completely. I still like my Jeep though. If I had deeper pockets I could justify both.

Thank you for the video. Would you be able to add a link for the lift kit and tires as well?

I had to call JKS directly to get the 392 kit part number. I figured they would’ve updated the website by now to show it, but it’s still not up for some reason. Obviously, I know you can order it because I did. I got my tires locally, but discount tire direct seems to have really good deals on Nitto’s in general.

I am still trying to find the sweet spot on my fox 3.0 like when going over a speed bump if feel like its harsh and not smooth. Im running a MC 3.5 game changer lift kit.
@DrivingLine

I don’t have any experience with their coils. I have ran JKS and Rock Krawler springs with my 3.0s on my Gladiator and they’ve been fairly easy to dial in. I dial back the high speed a lot for on road. I always have the low speed fairly high.

@@DrivingLine Thanks very much for the quick response. By any chance do you have any pictures or videos on your jeep? I have a sarge green and wanted to see what they look like.

I ordered a new one and actually sold the white one to a close friend. Ford sent an email a week or two ago and said it’s being built the last week of August. It’s another XL hybrid. I’ll do a. Idea update on the white one and the new one when I get my hands on it.

Thinking of doing the same thing on my 392. The workshop I usually go to keeps telling me I should go for the Fox 3.0 instead as 'they are better suited to handle the extra weight a 392 carries'. Is the performance difference between the 2.5 and 3.0 worth the massive price difference?
@DrivingLine
@DrivingLine 5 месяцев назад
I’m happy with the 2.5s. Yes, the 3.0s are better. I have them on my 1-ton Gladiator. If you are trying to go fast off-road, the 3.0s will be much easier to dial in for the weight of the 392. For general trail riding and on-road comfort, I am happy with the 2.5.

Why not move the front reservoir? I really like that XR wheels so if it was me I would try that.
@DrivingLine
@DrivingLine Год назад
That hose is fairly stiff. I wish they would just mount the resi next to the body of the shock like they do out back. I like the XR wheels, but would want to make them a true beadlock and change the color. At the end of the day, it just made more sense to buy another wheel set.

@@DrivingLine do you have any experience with the Falcon shocks? I’ve been looking at those for my 392…..they have the reservoir attached to the main body.
@DrivingLine
@DrivingLine Год назад
I do not have any experience with those shocks. I do have a friend running them on his 392 and he feels like they are too stiff even at the softest setting. He's running Metal Cloak springs and had Fox 2.0 shocks previous to swapping out for the TeraFlex ones.
@broncobill3902

with the AEV wheels, were you running 13.5" tires? im askin because I have Saverge IIs and they seem great to me with 12.5s.
@DrivingLine
@DrivingLine Год назад
The AEVs have 12.50's on them. It's a great wheel. The added suspension travel just lets the axle articulate so much more over the stock setup that the tire is now contacting those places I mentioned in the video.

If your going to spend 100k on a jeep plus 20k in mods. You mind as well buy a rock bouncer.
