Ur hair might just be naturally thin but if not, then blow dry it in the opposite direction that it grows, make sure you keep the dryer moving so you dont damage anything, then once it's pretty much close to dry, flip the hair over to how you actually want it and dry almost to completion and give it a quick blast of cold air to lock it in place, you can blow dry when you're leaning forward too to let gravity help you

Shade On A Cool Day depends on how you want it. If you want it really really slicked back you have to use extreme much putty EVERYWHERE. You can’t just apply some on your hands and then work it in like most hairstyles, you have to begin with the sides, brush them all the way back until it’s slicked like you want it, you do that on both sides and then you put some at the top and slick that all down to your neck. You check it at last and if you like the result you use a bit hairspray to give it some extra hold and if you want it to look wet you don’t have to blow dry it. That‘s the real slick back with your top hair reaching your chin or shoulders. If you have a middle long hairstyle you just use a little bit putty (a finger full) and start to work it in your sides, then top and at last back. If you’re done working it in you brush it all back and then you use some hairspray if you like to. If your hair is even shorter then middle long then you just blow dry it and do the same like the middle long hair. Your hair needs only two or three inch to slick it back, it doesn’t have to be very long you just have to know how to style it. You should ask your barber if he could do that for you next time you visit him, if he does it like you want then you could ask him for some tips. If you ask me I would tell you that your top hair should be atleast 6 inches long, your sides can be a little bit shorter if you want but a slick back hairstyle should be something for longer hair and not just some inch. Another tip from me you could maybe try to just sweep it back. It’s much more healthier for your hair because so much putty could damage it in time. For a sweep back you just need to blow dry it back and use some hairspray. That saves you time and it looks way more naturally and clean. I have shoulder long hair and I sweep it back too. Trust me it looks on most men much better.
