Jennifer Ehle is absolutely lovely, and a very good actress. I loved her as Elizabeth Bennet in P&P, but she was also very good as Mrs Logue in The King's Speech in which she had a scene opposite Colin Firth again. She was also good as Cynthia Powell, John Lennon's future first wife, in Backbeat (1994).
If you love Jennifer Ehle, be sure to watch her read the novel, "Pride and Prejudice", here on RU-vid. She did this from home as a gift to all while sheltering in place from covid-19. It is pure bliss!
Jennifer is a brilliant actress esp in Pride and Prejudice. I love Colin Firth, too. They were both very very good. They should have another romantic novel again. I will never ever tire of watching them. I love period drama the costumes the tradition the language the scenery. I wish another Pride and Prejudice will be made again for both of them. It is truly truly a very good work of Jane Austen. Bless them!!!!!
In the Camomile Lawn, her first major TV role, Jennifer and her mother played the same character (Calypso) at different ages, about 40 years apart. Jennifer won another Tony after this but never gained the TV or film parts many expected after Pride and Prejudice, seemingly she didn’t pursue that kind of career. Rosemary Harris is still living at 94, last year she appeared in The Undoing as Hugh Grant’s mother opposite Nicole Kidman. John Ehle died a few years ago.
I really love Jennifer Ehle...besides seeing her in (of course) Pride & Prejudice, which I loved (swoon COLIN) I have also seen her in ‘A Gifted Man’ with Patrick Wilson which was great. It was on Amazon Prime and I thought it was terrific. She and her mother are two very graceful ladies!
@@slaxxxer don't be silly. Her mother is the English actress Rosemary Harris and her father is of German and English descent. She studied acting in London. She can move easily between English and American accents.
